[ Ryder ]
The brown paint looked between the horses around him as they spoke. Each one had a valid point on the decision that the Exiles would have to make. Which side of the war did he truly want to be apart of? There were good and bad with both choices, but there had to be one that was more correct than the other. While Cain was a manipulative, he was strong and only wanted to survive just like the Exiles did. Vasska on the other hand has the world at his feet. His herd has everything they could ever need: food, shelter, a purpose however odd it may be. Splitting up seemed to be the only option that they had to please everyone. Plus, if they had horses on both sides, maybe they could kill two birds with one stone, and get the captives back and beat the Bachelors.
Ryder looked over at his mate, Effie, as she spoke. She seemed okay with his decision to side with the Bachelors, but he could tell that there was a hint of something under her strong tone: worry. Cain had promised that he wouldn't harm them, but with all of the things he had done, it was a bit hard to believe. The Bachelor king's offer was a lot more realistic than Vasska's though. Effie was right. How could they fight without getting a single scratch? As the tall guard finished speaking, Ryder nuzzled her cheek, glancing at her with an apologetic look. 'I'm sorry that I got us into this. I just wanted to protect you and Leif,' he thought before returning his attention to his herd-members around him. What did Khala think of all of this?

((Delvin))
The bay scout couldn't believe what he was hearing. Some of the herd actually wanted to fight for the Bachelors, after everything they've done? He'd been half-paying attention to Prime's idea at espionage or double-crossing, or whatever piece of wool she wanted to try and pull over Cain's eyes, but he didn't think anyone would actually take the idea seriously. For the love of Chevalin, the Bachelors had stolen their herdmates! Their leader. And they were willing to fight on behalf of those monsters? He'd seen a lot in his days, but this was quickly making it's way to the top of his list of disbelief.
Delvin knew Vasska was, in a way, just as bad as Cain. He was a tyrant playing at the guise of a holy king, or whatever rubbish it was his herd believed. He was off his rocker, the cob had no doubt about that, but he didn't have any qualms with him or his herd directly, even if they wouldn't help him. The Bachelors, on the other hand, now Delvin had a list of grievances lined up for them. He would never fight for them, in any way, shape, or form. He didn't much care to fight for the Olde herd either, but if it meant he'd be fighting against the Bachelors, well, that would have to be enough. Whatever happened afterwards... Well, he'd just have to see what happened then. He'd lived a long-ish life, long enough anyway. Not that he planned on dying at the hooves of any of those mare-stealing snakes. It'd been a while since he'd been in a proper fight, but he suspected it would come back to him easily enough. All he'd have to do was think about Mirea and Curio.
He was done talking. Let the herd fuss over which side to take if it pleased them. There wasn't a choice to be made for him; only one answer existed. (324)

.:Rhiannon - Guard:.
Hearing some of the herd wanted to join the Bachelors made Rhia shiver. Somehow, deep down, the was a slight piece of understanding. But her whole heart was screaming against this. Their fellow mare were held captive. Their LEADER was too... "I know some of us fear for loved one, or friend, or family being slaves of the Bachelors. But this... going to THEM, can neverm NEVER be a choice we should consider!" She held her chin up. This time she was to angry to be nervous. This whole vote was going to get them all into a big big mess. "If we join the Bachelors, and they win, we'll stay in the same situation as we are just now. They will never stop taking our loved ones. But we have no such "deal" with Olde. We can join the, the foe of my foe is my friend... Just like that. And we can part again afterwards. But we can only do so, if we take the only thing, Bachelors have to make us weak." While listening to the other, a thought had formed in her head. "We need to bring the herd to safety. And before the war starts, or in the middle of the fight, I don't really now, I'm not a captain, we will hav the chance, to get our herdmembers out of there. Only a few fighters, little enough to slip into the herd unnoticed. But big enough to fight our way out. And I'll gladly volunteer!" With a loud snot she finished and waited. She shiver over anger and fear. This had to work out. It simply had to.

((OOC: Hey guys! I'm so terribly sorry that I haven't been on for over a week. I've had little time to be online outside of writing papers and doing homework in general, and on top of that, being sick. Unfortunately timing is not my friend :c I've missed so much and this RP is technically closed, but I'll come back with Khala and post some closing words <3 The results and your winnings will be posted within the week. Thanks so much for your participation, I can't say how much it means to me <3))

~ Shiya ~
Seeing his smile both warmed and yet tightened her heart. Once more Shiya began to wonder about the responsibility that rested on the dark stallion's shoulders. The care, safety and the hard decisions of an entire herd; these were the duties of a Leader and a Captain. Even to a once feral mare such as herself, it sounded like a very heavy burden. This meet of the Exiles was proof of that, scanning over her herd with her eyes only. Yes..... her herd...Though she did not know many of them well or at all, they at least gave her something she hadn't had in a very long time. That she wasn't alone.
Inclining her head a little as her sharp ears caught Kanu's whispered words, Shiya's head dipped a bit as the little mare pondered in thought. She always had a choice, Kanu always seemed to assure her of that. This of which she was grateful. Better to know you had a choice then feel that there is none. This decision was no different from what she had already made to stay with the Exiles; she didn't want to be separated, alone. If that meant aiding these Bachelors, then so be it. The little mare knew only something of great importance would make her want to change her mind.
"Then.... my choice is to go with you," her soft words warmly muttered, never breaking contact with him even as she gently nudged his shoulder as she playfully nibbled at the tips of his mane briefly.

((if this doesn't count, I'm fine with that. I just would like to leave this, so Shiya is at least 'not in the air'.))
