Rowan | Guard
The stallion bristled at the electricity in the air. Everyone was heated, and the situation was steadily decaying before his eyes. And much of the anger was directed at his mate, which heightened his desire to defend, however, he'd primed himself to never act as rashly as he had back on the island of their home. He'd learned to channel his emotions as he did during his training in the woods, and he hoped it would come to good use now. Placing himself between his mate and the other herd members he drew a deep breath. "There is much to consider, and granted, I have missed a good deal of it myself, but bickering won't grant us any answers in my experience." he passed another hurt gaze, this time for Stormcry as she spat her accusations at his mate. He had considered the mare a good friend, and level headed, brave female and to see her acting in his opinion rather rash and sharp towards the mare he loved concerned him deeply. He had felt for some time that something had not been right with the dark mare. He'd thought it had come after the birth of her foal, but now that he thought deeper on the matter, it occurred to him that the change was far more recent. Just about the time Cael had named Prime High Guard. Was she actually jealous of Prime? He pushed the thought away for the moment, deeming it not nearly as important as salvaging his mate's image among her peers and only offered the furrowed brow to the other mare, making a note to find her in private at a later date and pick her brain on her troubles... Prime's sweet, but very public display of her affections for him also set him off just slightly. She was far too over stimulated and bothered for the moment. He knew it wouldn't be in her nature, but it felt as though she did so in order to boast upon their resent engagement. With another level breath he spoke again. "If you will all allow me, I would speak to my mate in private for a moment. I sense we are agreeing upon a vote for what to do with our situation at hand? I assure you all that taking a moment to gather our thoughts would likely do everyone a world of good at this point. Good decisions are never made in Bad moods." He offered, feeling awkward again speaking before so many that he barely knew but hoping the wisdom of his words would shine through his nervousness.
He turned to Prime again, reassuring her nuzzle with one of his own as he gently began to lead her from the throng of horses, gazing over his shoulder to ensure they weren't called back. As the angry mare he recognized as Ryder's mate spoke up harshly to Prime as they exited he frowned to her. "No one can know what's in another's mind, or heart and so judgements can be jumped to. All sides to a story cannot always be considered at once. Forgive her misjudgement, and excuse us." he spoke firmly, hoping to put an end to another matter directed at his beloved.
Once they were far enough away to be within eye shot, but not ear, he turned to Prime again, his brow furrowed once more. "Explain to me what it happening..." he said firmly, but not in an unkind way, merely urgent, feeling a good deal of his own guilt at not having been at hand the entire event.

Eyrin | Scout
Eyrin stood silenly among the sea of horses, listening as they shouted their opinions for everyone to hear. He himself did not speak, feeling as there was not much to say from his part. He was just a scout after all. He was not meant to decide, he was not meant to protect. His duty was to serve... But even so he had his opinion. The bachelor herd. He couldn't believe he had first heard it right, but it was brought up as an option by a few of the herd. How could they even consider joining those who took their mares, their leader? The mere thought made his skin crawl and he shuddered.
His head turned as a new horse came to the scene and his eyes grew wide as he recognized the former high guard. How...? For a second he hoped that she had returned, bearing the news that they could again come home. She had been believed to be lost to the fires after all. His thoughts quickly sobered though. If she had found a place on their island to stay, surely this vote had not been needed. The exile herd would return home.
He wasn't sure, so he stayed silent and he watched. Listening as the others discussed and slowly forming his own opinions. Waiting for someone else to decide that it was his turn to speak.

Prime || High Guard
Prime frowned upon it but didn't object openly as he spoke for her, she didn't need anyone to- At his touch she practically lost her wording not having been prepared for it. But as he addressed Effie, Prime couldn't help but to cast an excusing glare towards her. This was between her and Ryder which she due to his offer, thought to be on a good side with, but now their mates got in on it.. "Before anything more is to come from my mouth, please do not think ill of anyone because of their feelings towards me." She forced herself to pull of a stone face but in his eyes she couldn't. She turned to give a light nod towards Khala before she turned her full attention to him. Finding that it was rather nice to just have to deal with one equine. "Khala is to be our new leader, I fail to recall it word by word but in short due to her good service as a high guard. Kanu broke the news of her and it didn't gain all favors. There have been many speeches of held pride, passion in seeing this herd as a unit. I pointed out the fact of the captivated mares as Kanu spoke of compassion for this herd, I couldn't keep from speaking my view on the matter. Honestly I can't say I trust him as I did before, I know the situation wasn't easy to place a choice in but fact remains that his action or rather lack of them lead to the point when Cael had to take the final blow for it. It doesn't fall on him alone, if I had been stronger.. If we all had been stronger we wouldn't have been in this situation. I admit I was not at my best when Storm began to tell everyone to be rejoiced at the life of one equine, to ask of the whole herd to hush up when now if anytime everyone needs to get to speak their minds clear. I don't know her reason for it nor do I longer care to know it as she made it clear she thinks, I would punish someone for speaking their opinion if it's not in my favor.." Anyone that knew her could tell that she felt strongly about the right for herself as well as anyone no matter herd, rank, opinion to have the right to speak freely.
"I tried over and over to find another way, I know the chance for it to work is tiny but I rather take that one and remain the whole herd united than to see them be used by anyone. So I.. I proclaimed that we could attempt to trick Cain, as the battle begins take advantage of the chaos in it and take the captivated mares and get the heck way from those so called 'Kings' war. At least that way we wouldn't be abandoning them.. Cain wouldn't get the upper hand to use them against us. And I could keep my promise to get you Hazel back. However not even Ryder would listen to it and as he spoke of siding with Olde and compassion for the herd when he in my belief ran from us last time. Coming back with a mare and a colt at his side... I just wish he would have told me. That he would have trusted me.. The rest I think you already know..I can't do it their way.. I'm not to any use, high guard or not my only wish is too have them all safe and sound but I have no measures to use to see that thru, I wish I could grant the simple wish of Shiya to be safe..but-" I can't, and for the first time sense her parents she felt utterly powerless that no matter what she did it wouldn't matter. Prime broken down before the roan bay, she had kept it in so long and now when her words ebbed out the only thing she could do was to press her head into his embrace. Tears falling down her cheeks onto the bangle, the emblem of her beloved herd which she couldn't protect.. "...I'm sorry." She whispered against his warm skin, it wasn't directed to only him even if she didn't want to ruin his image of her but this was just too much for even her to cope with.

|| Aragon || Aragon listened to Rhiannon speak "while I agree they are so many and we are so few.." She said. Then she looked over at Rae, remembering the mares times of... Sudden mood change. Aragon looked over at Moirragh, the young mare silently agreed with her. The Arabian cross mare listened to one horse after another, Delvin presented a smart idea, Ryder sided with the olde, Effie proposed a vote after saying she agreed with Delvins thoughts. 'The war, the war, the war.' Aragon thought over and over, a vote would be smart but so would dividing the group so the weak went somewhere safe and the string lend a hand to the olde. Prime spoke to Effie 'save your breath and energy we must fight with each other.' She thought. Aragon winced at Primes tone, she was or of the horses that went to the olde. "It was done for the good of the herd." She mumbled, more annoyed than nervous. "We did something you didn't have the guts to do." She added. Aragon noticed Rae coming closer, she to was in the group that left. Aragon had a heart attack hearing Khala but looked to the mare with more hope now. Her words were important to hear. The young roam mare stood quiet as she listened to everyone talk amongst themselves. "Olde." She said quietly. Aragon lifted her head and looked to Ryder. "Up for another journey?" She asked in a joking way, Aragon was only excited to go to olde. They had a chance to live, a chance to neath the bachelors and teach them that the exiles are not a toy, the exiles are there to fight, and to win. Word Count: 288

~Liora~
The paint mare stood in shock from the reaction around her. Khala had helped to calm all of them down. If she had that ability, that sort of power, she was definitely deserving of the title of Exile leader. Delvin had given her, in his own way, a sign of respect which allowed her to relax slightly. Before Liora could move however, the black gaurd, Stormcry, had addressed her. Did she really just apologize? To her? This made Liora feel a bit more comfortable with what she had just done. Her fear of ridicule was never realized. She was not called any names but was instead called brave. Liora smiled softly at the mare "...Thank you...Storm..." she managed to squeeze out some words, breaking down her walls that held her back many times before.
Liora wandered back to Delvin's side, feeling utterly proud of herself. Never had she done anything she would consider 'brave' before. She was always the shy quiet one. The one who no one really knew or spoke to. So, to have such recognition come from Storm, Liora's head was held higher now. As she reached Delvin's position, she turned to face the rest of her herd memebers. Delvin appeared to be of the same mind. He too shared her and many of the others ideas of calling aid from Olde. She nodded at him, showing her affirmation and looked back at the herd, "I agree with Delvin. I vote going to Olde." Then she glanced over at Khala. "I also think that Khala should lead. She seems to be strong enough."

Kanu || Current Exile Captain
As Prime spoke, Kanu simply listened intently, his icy blue eyes holding a dull spark that seemed to lessen as she went on. He couldn't help but be discouraged by her words, every day he lived with the guilt of this bargain he had made, every day he heard Seeker in his mind, calling out to him to help but every time he tried- it seemed- she would drift further from his clasp. He cringed at the mere thought of the reoccurring vision he had, but quickly fixed himself up and stiffened his expression. "Prime... I do know where you're coming from, and I do not blame you for feeling this way about the deal, about me, about everything. But, I must say this; that decision was made for the better of the herd, and, it was not made alone. I did not act without the subtle consent from the others that happened to be with me on that beach, facing Vladek and his brutes. Anyone had the right to speak their mind, to say no- just as you are here, now. I am not one to act alone, without the herd's knowledge- you are speaking of my lack of actions, and yet I am not the leader of the herd. My job is not to make the decisions and do what the leader does, my job is to aid the leader in making those decisions- some of which can be difficult to make. My job is to help protect you all, which I am trying to do. Just as you are, Prime. None of us here have done less than the horse beside them, everything we do is valued and matters. So bringing Khala in as our new leader- whether it be temporary or not, is how II am going about doing my job; how I'm going about protecting you all. Do not lose faith in me, because even though I have questioned your methods in the past- and recently too- I know that without you here helping, we wouldn't be coping half as much as we are now. You claim you cannot protect this herd- I know damn well you can, because I've seen it." He stopped abruptly, sighing. He wasn't mad, he wasn't frustrated, he wasn't even sad. He was disappointed. Disappointed in himself. Kanu wanted so badly to take action, as Prime was telling him to do. But it wasn't his place. He knew his place, and that was protecting the Exiles and acting as a shoulder for Khala to lean on when needed.
After Liora had tried to stop Storm and Prime from ripping each others throats out, Kanu smiled to her, happy that she had put herself out there and spoken her mind. When they first met she was extremely shy and would hardly speak her mind about everything. But since then she had grown so much. As she spoke of her vote, Kanu begun to think about his. He had chosen Olde, but Prime had a point. The Exile's and The Olde's had never gotten along. Vasska saw them as a plague, almost. Kanu figured they'd have more chance of survival if they sided with Olde, but Vasska was still a dictator of sorts, and he hated the Exiles. With a passion. Even though Cain seemed shady and untrue to his word, he didn't hate the Exiles as a whole as much as Vasska did, and they'd potentially have more of a chance to get the captives back if they went with Prime's plan. He was conflicted, but kept his thoughts to himself, working out his options in his mind.

.:Rhiannon - Guard:.
The chestnut mare watched her herd. Her heart was racing as the vote got more and more into a big mess. Everyone seemed to accused everyone with what they all had been feeling and hiding so far. The herd around her was only a hint of what it once was. She could tell it from the way she herself looked like. Thin, no real shine in her fur. And she knew it was only the sickening situation they were in, that drove everyone mad. May it be, she feared of loosing the mares being kept by the Bachlors. "I know the Olde is the only chance for us, to get back to what Exiles stand for... but still..." she sighed with a shiver. "I don't want to sacrifice our herdmates to the Bachelors... isn't there anything we can do? As I strongly believe, that they WILL use them against us..." She was still shaking. Like always she felt so clumsy speaking up infront of everyone. And there was this deep fear. The thought of what the Bachelors could do to Cael and the others... "But even though I am afraid of what our decision leads us to, I'll follow you, Khala. I don't think any of us can really know what a tough decision this was for Kanu, or how you feel with all this happening so quick. But I believe this all is going to a good end. We survived the fire, I strongly believe we Exiles can also survive this." After she had ended she stepped back. Heat was rising in her body, as she came to realising that she had spoken aloud. And what she had actually said aloud for everone to fear. A guard should not show fear... She lowered her head and looked down at the grass, trying to not look into anyones eyes.

[ Ryder ]
The brown paint listened intently as everyone spoke. Everyone seemed to be a bit more organized with their thoughts now that everyone had pretty much said what they needed to. Ryder saw a few horses that still hadn't spoken, but he didn't want to pick them out if they didn't want to speak. There was once a time that he had been the same way, and if anyone had done that to him, he would have been embarrassed beyond belief. As Prime and Rowan walked off to the side to speak, Ryder watched them out of the corner of his eye. Prime was definitely upset about what had happened, and he understood her frustration. Everyone had ganged up on her idea, and while he saw the good in her plan, more Exiles wanted the safety of the north. Vasska might be a tyrant, but he might be more understanding than Cain. 'Or not. They both might be just as horrible. Then what will we do?' His thoughts whirled in his head as new ideas and possibilities fluttered in his mind. As Aragon spoke to him, he chuckled. "I'm up for anything that will offer us safety right now." He said with a grin.
As the paint mare that had jumped in front of Prime and Stormcry spoke, Ryder nodded with her words. He had never met her before, but she appeared to be a friend of Delvin's, and any friend of Delvin's was a friend of his. Plus, she must be quite brave to jump in front of two fighting mares like that. He knew he wouldn't have had the guts especially not between those two mares in particular. Ryder's blue eyes looked over at Kanu. He seemed to hold a sense of guilt about him at Prime's words. Ryder would have been surprised if he wasn't guilty. His deal had lost them their leader and a member of their herd to a bunch of brutes.
A chestnut mare spoke up then. Her tone was firm even though her body language showed otherwise. She must have been quite nervous about speaking in front of such a large group. Her words brought an idea to his head, but he remained silent. No need for another outburst from everyone in the herd. 'What if we sent horses to both sides? A larger group to Olde and a smaller group to the Bachelors to possibly get our herdmates back.' Ryder glanced down at the foal between his mate's legs. Leif was looking at all of the horses with growing interest. Ryder wanted to keep him safe. He wanted to keep them all safe. Both of their options lead them to be ordered around by some sort of tyrant, and Ryder felt torn between the two options. What in Chevalin's name were they supposed to do?

Rowan | Guard
Rowan tried to keep his mind clear, and free of judgements as he listened to Prime's summary of the current events. And yet, as hard as he tried to remain focused, he couldn't help but become slightly absorbed by his own thoughts. A new leader...the herd divided...and Prime determinedly resigned to heading into the Bachelor herd. No matter how much every fiber of his being fought him, and the fear drenched his heart, a single, reoccuring bellow rang out from the depths of his clouded mind. Hazel....She had been the reason they came here...the reason originally for both Rowan and Prime's determination. Before the agreements, before the sacrifices there had only been Hazel and he remembered how strongly he'd felt back on the Southern Island. How he vowed to save her, no matter the cost. Sure he had so much more to lose now that his heart belonged to Prime, but if she were still determined, then who was he to refuse? Would he just abandon his sister again. Fight against her herd, keeping him locked from gaining access to her. It was then that Rowan's mind began to piece together what should have been obvious.
He KNEW the Bachelors, had grown up as one. And in his heart he knew they weren't all barbarians. He would never agree to their customs, nor wish to return, but they were outsiders too. All outsiders of the holier-than-thou Olde. His expression grew determined, brow furrowing as he gazed at the fire in his mate, only to soften as he saw her balk and begin to cry. He willingly threw himself into her embrace and held her tightly, as tightly as he had the night before during her proposal to him. It suddenly all made sense. He had a much better chance surviving with the Bachelors. He still had friends there. The only one he'd need to watch for was his uncle, and he doubted even if they did cross paths, that he would dare try something in the middle of a war. And he could see Hazel again. Get close enough to hopefully spirit her away in the fray. And he had to follow where ever Prime went. That truth was paramount. She was everything, and he could never be found on an apposing side to her.
As he brushed his face along the soft fur of her neck he comforted her before speaking quietly. "Don't cry...please, of all things, that I cannot bare. You have nothing to be sorry for. It has only just begun. I was too consumed with fear and hesitation, hmm as I always seem to be, to see it. Where you go, I go. And we will achieve what we came to do. We WILL get our people back. Whatever FOOLISH war these two herds have waged, is only a side note to us. We have our own goals, and our own lives to live." Nuzzling his beloved mate he gently broke their embrace and stepped back towards the group.
Seeing the new leader he dipped his head low in an honoring bow. "I think both plans have much merit, and I was always told one should never place all their hope in a single barrel. I think the best solution would be to have those that would side with Olde, do so, and those that wish to retrieve our kin side with the Bachelors. That way, at least one path is certain to succeed, and we can regroup when the dust has settled. Either way, I make my vote to go with the Bachelor herd. I could be of help there. I know them, grew up with them, and I can handle myself among them." he announced with a curt nod of affirmation, the only sign of his awkwardness in addressing the group again being found in the way he nervously cleared his throat at the end of his little speech.

Prime || High Guard
She would have liked to stay silent just enveloped in Rowan's embrace, but as Kanu had overheard her and Rowan spoke up there was a need for her to do the same. If there is anything valuable too be learnt from this..it's the importance of communication both as a herd and between individuals. There was a hesitation in her steps as she moved up to station herself at Kanu's side, "...W-what is done is done, no one can know the outcome from anything in life without daring to try one's wings. With my words I didn't strive to add to any personal guilt Kanu, but I will be honest to say words others only dare to whisper. Knowledge is power and that is what I offer you with my words. Don't be dragged down by it, grow from it. Kanu..you have all rights as anyone to question me but to claim that you know what lays behind my actions. Do you really wish to know the fuel to my actions? My parents gave their lives for me within that guilt and devastation, I wooed to make a difference, to make their sacrifice count from then on. I respect the exile mares bravery for theirs but unlike my parent's they aren't beyond anyone to make a difference to." Now he could truly claim to know where she was coming from. It didn't change her own feelings to hear his words of belief, as she assumed his reasons came out of concern for how the herd as a whole and not her alone. "Rowan is right no matter the outcome of this war, we will still have lives after it to tend to. Effie holds a valid point, what possible gain we could have with joining Olde. For those of you that wish to hear it before making the decision. I say we go to Olde for the benefit of doubt, regarding my own proclaim to find the Bachelors to be a more profiting side to choose in this matter..." Her words faded but she forced herself to keep a good posture before them, Kanu was not alone in wanting to keep them safe but this was not possible for any of them to sincerely promise. However much Storm would enjoy blaming her for it, she was not more than one equine and to fight and woe to keep them all unharmed from this...it wasn't within her power to do. Prime doubted many wouldn't be tiered to hear her voice by now, but at Rowan's words she felt a tiny spark of hope tinker in her downed shell of self-doubt. "If I am to offer you all a final advice, choose with your heart. Whatever decision you base upon it will lead you right, in that I have no doubt." The high guard ended her for once short speech with a respectful nod towards the herd as a whole. It wasn't a easy choice and she didn't envy Khala one bit to come into the herd at a critical time like this, they had been thru so much.. still if she could guide them thru this...who knew what possibilities laid ahead for the exiles? wc:541

Kanu || Current Exile Captain
As everything started to calm down, so did Kanu. This was all so big, and there was so much to take in, but the main thing that had been unsettling Kanu was the wild bickering going on between his own herd mates. Now that, that was gone for the most part, he could take a breath. "No," He began after Prime had finished, "You are not in the wrong, you have a right to stand up and say what you want to say. As I have said before, your words may be overwhelming at times but it's the truth- and there is no point hiding from the truth. Your idea to join the Bachelors is a smart one, very smart. I do not want to see you throw it away just because the majority of the herd seek Olde. Vasska is cruel hearted, and the past conflict between our herds still haunts and fires Vasska's hatred for us. I do not use these words to sway your decision- not at all- but Prime has successfully changed my mind, I am sure that I cannot prove myself to Vasska and if I don't, the whole Exile herd will suffer for it. I am sorry if this is not what you would like to hear. I am not doing this so I can aid the Bachelors- Cain- I am doing this instead for Cael, Hazel, Seeker and whomever has been taken from us. There I can check up on them, make sure they're alright. Also, if we are to look forward to meeting again after the war, we must separate in order to do so." He said, his words spreading over the whole of the Exile herd. He looked to Prime, hoping she'd choose with her heart as well.

{Efflorescence}
Effie grimaced, her choice was already made, Ryder had made it for the family. Cain had offered them safety and he wouldn't make them fight other exiles, would he keep his promise...would he simply use them as pawn in this game of wills? Who knew. All Eff really knew was that she had to protect Leif and Ry, at all costs. She wondered if she would be made to become a brood, she shuddered at the thought.
She returned to the conversation, her mind taking a second to realise Prime had mentioned her name. They agreed on something. "I do agree, a split will please everyone. All those who want to go with the Bachelors can, and all those who want to go fight by the Oldes, may do so. Vasska has something slimy about him - how can we fight without a scratch? It just seems impossible, so I side with Cain." She inclined her head slightly, the words felt strange to say - side with the Bachelors, those she hated most. She looked around, she wondered who would go with the Oldes, would she ever see them again?
Effie wandered off into her own little world again, Leif...what would they do with him. Nothing. She told herself, she would defend him until the end.

|| Aragon || Aragon listened to more horses speak their minds, her ears twitched and flicked as she listened. 'Split up? There was strength in numbers.' Aragon was a little shocked at Efflorescence's opinion. "Side with the bachelors? After all those things they've done to us?!"she said aloud. She knew Efflorescence was older than her and probably wiser but siding with the bachelors was dangerous and insane, especially because she was a mare. "I will be going to aide the olde herd." Aragon said making her decision. She was sick of being harassed by the stallions of the bachelor herd and having to fear them. The olde though, they needed help, they thought the exiles had sided against them. They would be desperate. "I pray I do not see any of you in battle, and if the Exile herd becomes freed of the bachelor rule and returns home send word and I will come back along with the others that wish to return home." The young arabian mare spoke loudly and calmly she had already been to Olde once, going again would not be a problem especially since she knew the way there. And if the olde rejected her she would have no choice but to come back but she wouldn't fight for the bachelors. "Who else wishes to go to the olde?" She asked and looked around at the others. "If no one else goes then I will stay, this is not a journey one horse alone can make. But if I stay I will not give Cain the satisfaction of fighting for him." Word Count: 265

~ Shiya ~
She was used to being in the sidelines. The years of living in the wild on her own, always out of view from other equines, made her used to it. Yet it still stung a little. Ears drooping as she lowered her head as she backed out of the edge of the circle, though remained to listen in silently. She was somewhat aware her words gave no help or insight, only stating a wish they all wanted. Her lack of memory or knowledge of these two other herds was proving to be her downfall. So once again in a hope to either jog her memory or learn something new, Shiya listened and watched the other equines intently, especially the painted mare for a little while longer then most. Eventually her head snapped up at the mention of her name, the dirt covered mare stared at the appaloosa known as Prime with surprise. So she had not gone entirely unnoticed. A tiny smile graced her lips as she continued on listening to those who spoke with pricked up ears. Though as she listened, she learnt no one trusted either herds, especially the one they currently lived alongside with. And so swiftly talk came of separating the herd. Upon hearing Kanu's choice, Shiya carefully waded her way through the crowd toward him, her ears pulled back worriedly. From what she understood, the Bachelors were the more dangerous of the two other herds and some of her fellow Exiles spoke of deceiving them, that easily warranted her uneasiness. Gently brushing her muzzle on Kanu's shoulder, her already soft voice whispered for the Exile Captain to hear. "Let me come with...Let me help.." I don't want to be separated, she left unvoiced.

Kanu || Current Exile Captain
As Shiya approached him, her face etched with worry, he gave her a warm yet tired smile. He had looked after her for many months now and since grown close to her. She was one of his closest friends, and he didn't like seeing her worry about him like this. As she whispered quietly in her ear, his own pricked forward. "Shiya, you are free to do what you wish in this situation. It's one hundred percent your choice. I cannot sway you to do anything, but I will stay by your side if you choose to aid me with the Bachelors." He said, as quiet as she did. He was happy she wanted to help, the mare he had met some time ago was not like that.
He remained by her side, his shoulder lightly touching hers as a means of security. She made him feel safe. He turned to Aragon, "Yes, Aragon, there is safety in numbers, but if we force everyone to go a certain way, there will be conflict. We can't have that. Not now. We are not being forced to fight eachother, and we will still have a hefty amount of numbers on each side to back us Exiles up. No matter the side we choose. Do not worry, there is many who want to travel to Olde with you." His words were laced with calmness and truth. He wouldn't touch another Exile, no matter the cost.
