Nefertiti was over come in quite a state of shock by her fellow knights words. Her head jolted backwards at her questions and her face flushed, eyes wide and locked forward on neither of them. Heart starting to race against her chest she opened her mouth to speak, but all that came out was a soft squeak, so she closed it. Clearing her throat she started again, now stammering before stopping again as Gaius seemed to yell the words out of her mouth. Turning her eyes on him quickly she rose and eyebrow at him before blushing more and turning her gaze back to Tamera.
"We-Well you see-" She cut herself off, clearing her throat again, trying to regain her composure. "He is handsome yes, but walking through the fields with that dark of a coat its bound to be noticeable." She tried to keep her voice even, and her statement factual. She didn't think shed been flirting with the stallion though? Just friendly, she thought. "And I have not been flirting with him. Just being friendly."
The blush on her face turned from a soft pink to a dark pink as she noticed the stallion again, accidentally holding his stair before looking back to Tamera.
Play it cool...
Forcing a smirk, her eyebrows fell together as she gave a soft laugh. "Why Tamera? Jealous or something?"

"Yeah I ran due to a creeper and accidentally rand towards the land bridge and here I am." she chuckled as she saw Gaius grinned widely, it was a first to see him like that and to say the least it was very refreshing to her. He should have smiled and look that that more instead of trying to hide most of what he is feeling. It was exactly the reason why she called him Poker face, and it was her utmost favorite thing to do back then was to uncover what was underneath that mask.
She bellowed with laughter as it filled the quite landscape. Oh how glad she was that some things don't change at all, mostly it was the way he always fell for her constant tease she always loved that about him. She just couldn't help herself but find him too amusing.
"WHAT?"
Tamera was now grinning deviously from ear to ear as she heard Gaius's inner thought begin blurted out. 'Thank you Lilith, if it weren't for you I wouldn't have learn how to make amusing situations like this'
It was as if the mare's suspicion was somewhat correct , but what was more entertaining was that her fellow Knight was so shocked that the poor girl was practically speechless and when she tried to open her mouth a soft squeak could be heard.
"Uh huh go on...I knew it, it was very hard to resist such a eye candy face huh.?" She chimed clearly amused at Nefertiti's struggle at regaining her composer.Thus with all the mare's uncomfortable tension seem to rise this conformed that indeed the younger mare has somewhat interest in Gaius weather that was consciously or unconsciously. Oh what fun was this going to be she thought to herself.
"Beside what does that have to do with his coat? The first one I spotted was you not him runt." she chimed at the pale mare whos face was flushed with a crimson shade across her silver complexion.
'Oh so she going down that road? well lets see whos gonna be jealous of whom shall we little one.'
"Well, Maybe...Maybe not who knows. Just a fair warning though, with such a good eye candy be careful he doesn't get stolen from right under your nose." she whispered into Nefertiti's ear just out of Gaius's hearing range as she locked eye with the mare as if challenging the her for the affection of the said male standing near the two female unaware of their new founded rivalry.

Gaius | The Exiles | Guard
The grullo let out an incoherent noise, neon eyes flashing back and forth between mares in both confusion and horrific shock. He couldn't believe the situation he's in nor did he expect this sort of thing when he first entered across Olde's land; it was simply unbelievable. His right brow twitched in discomfort; an inner struggle for him at the moment as his mind flared bright, red signs to run and get out of here before something becomes worse and escalates further, begging to take action in some way. But Gaius ignored the sirens, staying stiff as stone while he gathered what little thought he had of the event taking place. It was certainly cliche and unpleasing, sure another stallion would probably get off from this- the disgusting idiots- but surely not him. No, Gaius was more of the type to avoid this embarrassing act- hell, he spent 20 years making sure of that. His luck must have ran out.
Shifting his eyes to Nefertiti, his face faltered in disappointment at her words. 'Just being friendly, huh?'
It was a hard kick to the heart- he had to admit. He accepted that what was burning inside him being a hopeless cause until he saw a deep blush grow across the mare's pale features and he strained to not smile like an idiot he knew he was for what he was feeling.
Quirking an eyebrow at Nef's comment of jealousy, the tovero let out a soft, amused chuckle.
'How cute.'
Gaius moved closer to the buckskin mare, successfully going unnoticed at the minimal proximity between each other as his neck craned down to have a better look at her. But something stopped him from going further.
The Guard watched as Tamera leaned over to whisper something in her ear, something he couldn't make out but from the look on her face- he really wanted to know what.

The silvery mares ears flicked backwards as Tamera teased her, her brows furrowing in true annoyance with a touch of jealousy. She was too vigilant for such a thing, she was was too possessive for such a thing.
Yeah right, like anyone would dare... Wait what
What was she even thinking right now? It was as if she herself didnt know what was going on, but the other two did, and it bothered her. Picking er head up away from Tamera, she decided to just play along with her teasing, looking over to Gaius, her eyelids half falling in a look of pure seduction, her long lashes blinking slowly as she looked back to Tamera. Flipping her forelock back forward, she smirked impishly at her before leaning up to whisper to her, her eyes on Gaius as she mouthed her words to the Knight.
"Oh I think he'd be the one with that problem, not I." Her vanity practically dripped from her lips as she spoke, her seductive smile growing as she looked back to the mare as she pulled her head back. She gave a soft giggle which only slightly gave away her teasing, but for the most part she kept it down. Nef was more in it just to tease the poor stallion than anything, and she enjoyed it.

Eyeing Gaius reactions the grullo mare has caught his soft chuckle. Clearly her plan was working as Mr.Poker face is showing her some results emotion wise.
What happened next took slightly surprised, the knight that she just momentary tease was all of a sudden trying to be all seductive. Flipping her forelock and as she gave a smirk and looked at Tamera. Nefertiti whispered back to Tamera saying that it was Gaius's problem not hers.
Oh now she was in for it, that little runt trying to show her off. and most of all her vanity was dripping like a slug! She involuntarily laughed on the inside. Her eye brow raised and looked down towards her fellow knight, at least she was willing to participate in this game.
'Poker face you better thank me for this later or I swear I will make the rest of your days full of tomato flushed paradise'
"Please like you could do better then a former bachelor mare." She spatted at the girl in a mocking just loud enough for her to hear as she seen Gaius stop momentarily when her eyes locked with him moments before.
'No harm in letting my other side come out'
Tamera was a mixed of Arabian and an Warmblood and due to the fact that she had inherited her fathers height and some of her mothers Arabian trait she held her tail up high as her long tail curled down to the grown. Her walk became much more less stallion like and more feminine with each stride. She was a daughter of a former Lady brood, and was taught by Lilith herself she wasn't about to let a mere little filly show her up.
"Hey, G-gaius has your taste change already after only seven years?" She asked in a silk like tone, her facial expression changed to a sadden and pleading look as she circle around the stallion getting closer slightly touching her coat to his in a seductive way.

Gaius | The Exiles | Guard
Keeping a close watch on the two Olde Knights, Gaius followed their movement with bright eyes twinkling in wary curiosity. He wondered what their whole deal was; the two at the start seemed to have butted heads and now their suddenly whispering to each other like two typical fillies gossiping with challenge seething in their eyes-
'wait. challenge?'
Once the mares seem to have departed from whatever conversation they had, the grullo witnessed Tamera's posture change drastically; her tail raising much higher and began to walk towards him with light, delicate steps unlike her usually heavy ones. Gaius wondered if they were in agreement of toying with him as he noticed their odd behavior- more so the grullo mare. She had never acted this way last time he saw her and it was horrifying to witness this attitude now.
'The hell.. What are they up to?'
As the thought came across in his mind, Tamera's next words took him by great surprise and utterly baffled the male.
"Hey, G-gaius has your taste change already after only seven years?"
His what? Did she honestly just ask him that?
He opened his mouth to reply, but somehow the words got caught in his throat as he let out a small sob of discomfort. The elder Knight that had been circling around him had become far too close for comfort and he felt her brush up against him in a seductive manner.
'WHAT'
Processing what to do, he turned to Nefertiti with pathetically pleading eyes to help him in the predicament he was in. Thinking that she will somehow help him- and honestly, he hoped she would.
The stallion didn't like this at all. Sure he considered Tamera a friend but, hell there was a line to be drawn and clearly she's going to surpass it if she continued.
Trying to somehow telepathically send his struggles to the pale mare he turned to Tamera again to shrug her off when he noticed something in her eyes.
'Knew it.' he thought grimly,
'She's toying with me.'
Gaius understood her actions now, however he didn't want to verbally announce his discovery as it seemed there had to be a reason. But what? It wasn't like the grullo to suddenly change in a quick switch, she had to have a motive. He dreadfully realized this 7 years ago.
Fumbling with possible answers he jerked away from her quickly upon contact and he spoke in a shaky voice (much to his embarrassment), the hues on his cheeks never dying down.
"My taste? who ever said I had one to begin with?" he questioned, letting out a strained, dry laugh.

The mares challenge made Nefertiti smirk slyly in retort, watching the mare dance around poor Gaius. The poor stallion had no idea yet what was going on, and it was made apparent by the confused look on his face. As Tamera's question danced off her lips, something ignited deep with Nef's gut, similar to a bestial rage, flaring to full as she watch her touch him. Ears flattening against her neck, the silvery mare's brows creased down over her eyes as her look was now a dark glare. The twinkle in her eyes had seemed to be replaces with fire as she looked to gaius to see his reactions towards her advances.
Their eyes locked, and Nefertiti seemed to relax under his pleading gaze, her ears flicking back forward as she rose her head once more. Everything about his body language screamed he wasn't having it, and it made the mares smile turn to a devilish and triumphant one. Walking over to the pair, she playfully nipped at Tamera's flank to push her away from him, his words washing over her like death's icy grip. Shaking the thoughts from her head, she spoke.
"That's enough Tamera, it's obviously not working." She laughed softly, flipping her forelock back out of her eyes. "Besides if he decides to stay, you'll have all the time in the world to tease poor Gaius."

Giaus had horrified written all over his face after what she had said to him. The poor male could even speak a word and was only able to utter a soft sob of discomfort. It was more intriguing when she slightly brushed against him it was as if he was in a state of shock.
Tamera was hoping the stallion would have get her drift as he looked at her but it seem to be futile as he made eye contact with the pale mare instead.
'Ugh, I swear poker face, sometimes I just want to send you flying into a ditch for lacking any intuition'
"So you mean you don't roll any of the way? because your face say otherwise." She retorted back at the males answer as she gestured him to notice his flushed face.
"Besides I know you way better she thinks." Looking back at Nefertiti with a mocking grin so devious. The mare was obviously getting irritated as Tamera could feel the atmosphere surrounding her fellow Knight a dark and jealous rage sleeping through the cracks. now it was just a matter of time to either get Poker face to understand or at least push the little runt jealously level up another notch.
"Oh and how do you know its not working?" She smiled back at the mare with such internal irritation. It wasn't what Nefertiti has said but it was her actions of flipping the curly forelock and nipping at her flak that ticked off the grullo mare. She was trying so hard not to rage on the shorter mare who was now in between her and Gaius.
'Your SO lucky runt that the thunderstorm had pass or I'd make that hair of your burn for nipping me in the flank!'
"Hmmm, that is true, but are you sure that you were getting the right signal there?" She question the mare with a glint of mischievous in her lime green eyes.
"Then let me be a bit more frank with you. I SAW the way you looked at me AND your body language was expressing something when I was so close too lovely boy here, care to explain to me what that was? because it looked like more then jealousy." She pass by the mare purposely bumping into her in an attempt of accidentally having her bump sir Poker face.
This was Tamera way of trying to trap the pale mare into thinking about her situation. Since it seemed every time she tried the younger mare just tries to shake it out of her head as if denying it with good intentions, which was very annoying to Tamera.

Hearing the few bits of Nefertiti's counter left a painful squeeze in his heart, he felt hurt, betrayed- disappointed in the response. He had fully realized what he was feeling yet it was soon shot down with just her mere words.
A hollow feeling seeped in.
And it was hard for Gaius to ignore it for the time being; feeling idiotic.
"..Does it bother you that I don't have a preference on taste?" He questioned skeptically at Tamera, eyeing her with suspicion as his voice still wavered ever so slightly. Green eyes seemingly following her as she turned her attention to the younger Knight, beginning to bicker back and fourth once again with each other. Testing each other.
Shaking his head clear, he had tried to convince himself to calm down and enroll back into his usual passive ways. But it didn't seem to last for even a fraction of a second. Whatever they were doing- it was annoying the hell out of him. He didn't understand why these two were hellbent on making him a target of some sort of game. Gaius hated the very thought of being toyed around with, especially if it's his emotions that are on the line; the stallion had enough of it as it is when he was around Barri-

Rearing his head up quickly he flared his nostrils in pure rage, eyes glued on the two.
As the grullo finished her last sentence he decided to cut in on their 'conversation', hairs prickling in formation of his developing, aggressive manner. He knew this was way out of his place, it was unlike of the male to be this way- but someone has to clear things up for him. He hated being left in the dark- defenseless.
"What the hell do you think both of you are doing? Thinking this is some harmless game, huh?" Gaius spoke, voice rising a bit higher than it would normally be as his frustration took over. "I honestly do not know what's going on and please, humor me, Seems you all have had a far fill of it, berating me for fun!"
He looked towards Nefertiti and spoke in a low tone "And what do you think of me? A play thing for your boredom? Was what I saw not moments ago just a facade? a lie perhaps?"

A pause
.
A large exhale came soon after,
"I've made my decision to stay in Olde.. regardless if I even see any of your faces again."

"I don't know what you're-" Nef began, abruptly stopping as Gaius spoke. His harsh tone scared the silvery mare, as it appeared seemingly from no where. Lowering her head away from him, she winced as his words cut into her chest. What had caused him to snap all of a sudden? It wasn't as if they were harming him, nor was it their fault he wasn't catching on. Alright maybe it was a little their fault. Her smiled faded off her face as she looked to the grass beneath her as if she were a scolded foal. They weren't being fair to him and she knew it, but she had thought it was all in good fun, and this was apparently not the case.
Nefertiti's olive eyes looked up to Gaius's, hurt brimming in them as he spoke of her. What did she think of him? She couldn't even fully answer that question herself, which she found was the worst part. She decided she had to try to think about them, since she felt she wouldn't want to lie to him, but she also felt she shouldn't be silent.
"Well, Gaius." The mare started softly, keeping her gaze fixed on his, and for a moment it felt as if they were alone in their own space to her, causing her to relax herself. "I dont really know what I think of you... Other than, you know, i think you're a good person. And you're funny, and I like you, you know?" Her face was flushing red as she spoke, eyes now shifted back to the ground embarrassed. "But I would never purposefully play you like i was, I'm not like that." She shrugged looking up to him again. "I think it's wrong to toy with others like that, since I wouldn't enjoy being treated like that."
Alright you can stop now Nef...
"But I think you're really rad and stuff. And I really wanna get to know you. And I don't want you to go because I like spending time with you. I think you're handsome, and a total goof, but i love it. And I'm sorry I've been acting like a jerk, but i didn't know what else to do."
NEF PLEASE STOP
"And I'm sorry Tamera caught us. And I'm sorry it rained and I made fun of you. And I'm sorry I called you Daffodil and Princess. And I dont know what else to say. And oh my Unicrons why cant I stop talking. Please. Sorry."
Her face was now bright red and her eyes shot back to the ground, wide with terror at herself. She was actually mentally screaming at herself at this point as her brain failed to remind her in time of Tameras presence. Instead of looking at either of them, she decided to focus on the grass in front of her, hoping if she concentrated, she or they would disappear. Hear heart was now hammering full force into her chest as she awaited her fate, closing her eyes and now wishing to fade from existence. What was she even thinking spouting this to him? She'd just met the damn stallion earlier that day, she must sound crazy. This whole thing was ridiculous, and she knew it, but... The softest whisper of hope floated in her heart. She didn't know if it was for the situation to pass or for something else, perhaps?

"Nope its just...Oh never mind." The mare sighed and shook her head looking at Gaius before her eyes went back to the younger Knight.
As Nefertiti was about to answer her previous question Gaius went and did an unexpecting thing that even surprised Tamera. The male was on a full rampaging rant as if he was a colt no less. As Tamera listen on towards the males whole heartedly hurted speech was full oh emotions made her zip her lips and listen to every single word that spouted out of his mouth. She was silently looking at his angry form before he eyes made contact towards Nefertiti, and boy was he mad and hurt of course. It wasn't Tamera is intention on hurting her friend, but this little farce was going on long enough. Though she thought this was a perfect situation as this meant the younger mare now had to process what was going on in her mind and how she felt about the said stallion.
'This is great, he should have expressed himself more. Though seriously Gaius how clueless can you be? and here I thought you were a bit less dense then this runt."
Tamera didn't bother answering Gaius's questions as she wanted to hear what the litttle runt had to say first before she would given her answer to him. Honestly she felt like she was a mother of one of the two idiot, it was excruciatingly painful watching things unfold as she had to do all the work. At least their reaction seems to lean to something so it was better then nothing.
The atmosphere suddenly changed as the younger mare answered the stallion. It was no longer just anger lingering in the air but pure anxious and confusion of uncertainty. Though the words that Tamera had heard from that younger mare's mouth made her twitch with amusement. She was trying so hard not to laugh out loud while keeping a straight face as she looked at both of them.
'She practically just confessed to him! This was great, I guess geting you angry was a better plan after all.'
With that last thought the mare let out a howl of laughter, it was so much that tears were forming.
"Oh my gosh that...that is amusing! I'm not sure how your brain process your emotions but that took a...a while!" she tried to speak in between her laughter. This lasted for a few minutes before she could stop herself from 'offending' the both of them any further. She shook her mane before looking up at them again before speaking.
"Poker face to answer your question as you seemingly spazz out at the both of us I will address it , but first I need to correct you on a few things." She sighed and the mare regained her mocking smile.
"First off I don't know what she was thinking, but I had my own agenda, second of all I never thought this was a game. You said that not me. Third of all I was NOT berating you for fun." She answered him all at once looking highly amused.
"Also Pokfer face, Nefertiti let me ask you both a question before I have to be really blunt. How old are you guys? you act like a colt and filly not understanding whats going on around your own selves. I swear I feel like an old mare here." It was her turn to criticized them now, how clueless can they get when she wasn't barley beating around the bush.
"Grow up would you? and as for you GAIUS you should have known better that I would do that for no reason, I am very disappointed you think I was doing that for fun. I love you as a friend alright even if it meant I enjoy teasing you back them and maybe later on, but I know theres a limit too you know." she snorted at him for thinking such a thing. It was good that he was wanting to stay because that just meant her life was now getting more interesting and less boring then before. Who knows maybe she would end up relaxing and more outgoing in the future because of her old friend.

Gaius gaped at the pale mare's words, a blooming warmth sizzling in his chest as she rambled on about her thoughts and how sorry she was. He had been such a fool to think that they were doing wrong and that they were using him for only their amusement- by the unicorns he felt like an idiot. He was in the wrong the whole time.
The stallion was utterly happy at this, to know there was no harm and- had she just confessed to him? In a way? possibly?
He had never thought to be liked by anyone from as far as he knew of. He thought that if he were to put up this boring personification of himself others would not be interested in him from the day of the Great Fire... He thought it had worked too. Yet, something inside him tugged towards her wanting to grasp out what she was unconsciously offering to the male- and sure he was a hopeless cause- but he wanted to make sure that she knew he'd never let her down on that offer.
No. He'd open his heart once more, his friend would've wanted him to be happy right?
Unicorns, he sounded so damn sappy right now but it was true. There was such a thing as love at first sight- right? Right?!
The dark stallion soon smiled widely, his anger and prosecution draining completely as his green eyes glimmered in reassurance and acceptance. He decided upon himself to answer her, moving slowly towards Nefertiti until he heard Tamera speak; Stopping him in mid step.
His right eye twitched slightly at her choice of words but he understood her full intent and for that he shrugged the manner off; it was not worth to be irritated over when it had a good intention. Even if Tamera went over board in her cackling state.
Looking back to the smaller Knight, his face seeped to tender gentleness, voice delicate, as if he anything he said would scare her off, "Don't be sorry, You have nothing to be sorry over" Gaius hummed "Besides I-" he stammered "I enjoy your company as well..You're quiet something you know"

The mares eyes flew to Tamera in a soft glare as she laughed hysterically at her fumbling confession. She had known it was bound to happen, she would've laughed at herself too if she could, but alas, the poor mare was too embarrassed. Rolling her eyes as she spoke she looked back at the ground, mumbling to herself about the customs of Olde. Nefertiti never really learned much about her 'loving' emotions other than to repress them. Considering her family had been planning on having her engaged to a stallion of their choosing, she was never really allowed to show affection much to others once she became a 'lady'. Dismissing the thoughts, she looked back to Gaius curiously as he spoke.
His words seemed to fill her chest with warmth, a smile crossing over her face as her eyes lit up. Lifting her head gently, she met his gaze better now as she turning to face him. Just standing there looking at him and him looking back at her. Nefertiti felt her chest hammering as her smile grew, almost forgetting Tamera was there. Almost.
Now, how to get back at Tamera...
Her brows fell as her warm smile shifted into a sly one. Bouncing her eyebrows at Gaius and glancing at Tamera, she hoped he would understand her. She wanted him to help get back at Tamera, since he'd been the center of their fun before.
"Well Tamera, I'm only 21, so that's my excuse." She turned to give Tamera a false look of innocence. "I mean, I'm practically still a filly." Her feigned sad voice coupled with her now wide eyes was all too obviously false. In a soft mutter, but loud enough for all to hear. "Compared to me, you're probably as old as a rock."

Looking in triumph the older knight finally had a gentle smile spread across her face, for this one moment the guarded mare shown what she really felt deep down. She was happy for Gaius and boy did he say so cute things. She was resisting the urges to open her mouth again to say something teasing, but she didn't want to ruined their seemingly special moment. A aching feeling went through the grullos chest. Taken by surprised by her own emotions as she saw the two her eyes widen a mere second.
'Crap, why am I feeling this now...'
Shaking her head and inhaling deeply to try and calm her aching heart hoping the other two haven't noticed her slip of emotions. Maybe she too has been shoving her feelings away for long enough. Deep down the mare wished she could have something like that as well someday, but she knew the way she acted would likely make any potential mates back away.
But it seems something in the air shifted a bit, Tamera felt a bit uneasy. Not knowing what's up made her more anxious. She looked at Nefertiti and she was looking at Gaius while she made some odd expression. What could the younger mare be up too...
"Oi, don't tell me you're offended runt? Don't take it to heart alright. Beside if I didn't do this I doubt either of you would have told each other how you felt." She snorted looking at the younger mare with a smirk. There it was again she was back in her shell.
"Oh please, 21 is no excuse trust me." She rolled her eyes as she remember back to her old days.

Then until the next words escaped the younger Knight lips. Eyes twitched and tail swishing from one side to the other. Tamera started to see red colored over her sight. Trying very hard to cover up her angry voice.
"Excuse me, I'm only older than you by five years runt and beside if you called me old as a rock I guess means you feel for an old rock as well." She chime back at the mare lace with mockery. She was furious but decided she wasn't going to rage on the younger smare just yet.
"If I remember correctly Poker face is only a year younger then me." She retorted back at the young knight as she bumped her rump against the mare.

Gaius | The Exiles | Guard
Gaius gave an endearingly small grin at Nefertiti before arching a curious yet playful brow at her suggestive bounce of white eyebrows- not quite getting what she was wordlessly trying to tell him. He became even more confused when she began to test the grullo mare, commenting on her age in a teasing manner.
"Compared to me, you're probably as old as a rock."
The Guard couldn't help but laugh at the snarky remark, thinking that it was far out of her place. The age of the elder knight didn't seem to be 'as old as a rock' to say the least and to be fair, he would have taken offense to it as well considering he was one year behind Tamera, however, he wasn't. It was Nefertiti after all. And to be honest, he thought it was hilarious.

Letting out a breathy huff of amusement he turned to the pale mare "It's true, you know," He said smirking, "Guess you have a thing for rocks than, huh?"
The mood had seemed to have lightened up around them, no one really noticing the change, but the daylight was surely slipping away as the sky drained of it's once warm colors of the late afternoon and pouring it's dark purple and blue hues. The dark stallion lifted his head slightly, finally realizing the decreasing time. If he squinted enough he can already see some stars peeking out from hiding.
'So much for the shattered lands- it can wait another time.'
What's more important was his stay.
Gaius lowered his head quickly, glancing at the mare in almost urgency "Hey," he interrupted "Hate to break it but- It's almost nightfall by now and I'm sure the shattered lands will still be here.. it's just-" he voice wavered for what seemed like the hundredth time today, he couldn't help but feel anxious and giddy- above all scared knowing he's going to go through with this "I need to go to your king- If i'm going to stay here of course.. It would be kinda best to do it as soon as possible? We can always come back here when I'm finished" Gaius gave her an assuring smile, one with promise deeply set in. Promise of another day. "If you want."
