Delilah glanced back over her shoulder mischievously, a wicked grin on her face as she ran full on through the winding streets of the Fallen City, laughing to herself. No time for games? Who was he kidding, this was the perfect time for games, she thought as she jumped and bounced off an old metal box, the sound of it clanging through the streets, echoing off the sides of the crumbling buildings. There was something to be said about being truly fearless, or perhaps loving danger...though it didn't lend well to making others happy. Perhaps if she did some soul searching she would find that part of the reasons for these behaviors was to push others away, but for now, she was just having fun and every one else needed to lighten up. Delilah gave a little buck of excitement as she heard Ron's voice calling after her angrily, and slid to a stop. Had she caused Lilith's bald faced champion's blood to boil? She cocked her head to the side a little bit, watching the group racing after her, then ducked down an alley and started winding her way at a leisurely pace down the alley. The voices were farther away now, to her chagrin, but she had at least lit a little fire under her companions' rears.
Soon she came upon the warehouse, and found the crumbled portion that she had slipped through with Lilith previously. No one could deny that she won, so rather she waited joyously for the fallout that would come when the others arrived at their destination. Most anxiously she waited for the Olde mare of the golden coat and the apricot locks, as D had designs on her innocence. Lilith could be happy with her tried and true companions if she had to be. D was more than happy to puzzle this one out on her own.

No reply came to Ari's call to the mare she followed and for a short while she wondered if she should continue her pursuit or wait for the others. Her ears flicked backwards when she heard the angered voice of the stallion and she twisted her narrow neck enough to see the large horse running after them. Something about the sight of him running after her fueled her own energy and she quickly turned her attention back toward the dark tail that flapped in the breeze ahead of her, intent on catching the slippery mare. She only hoped she wouldn't get in trouble for running off... he hadn't called her name after all, so she was leaning on the fact that Delilah had started the race and not herself.
This chase was turning out to be harder than she could have anticipated. She wasn't used to running on such footing and her hooves skid a few times, threatening to fly out from underneath her. Rubble and other strange human things lay in her way, forcing her to slow down at times to pick around them, and other times to risk jumping and hope she could manage to land without sliding out of balance on the landing. So far she'd managed to stay on her hooves though, so that much was good. She realized pretty quickly that there was no way she'd catch up to the other mare though. She seemed to know this place far better than Ari - being her first time in the city it wasn't hard to know it better than the alien mare.
She slowed down whens he reached the alley that Delilah had ambled into. Panting for breath she lowered her head, pricking her ears forward as she carefully made her way down it, searching for where she had disappeared to. Her tail was held up quite high, a natural reaction when walking with care developed from needing to hold it up off the ground. Even if it was tied up now, it was still a habit. "Delilah?" She asked softly, her voice hushed as if she were frightened she'd draw some unwanted attention. Now that she was no longer distracted by the excitement of the run, she was suddenly cautious about this unknown, broken down place. Perhaps she should have taken more care on her way... watched out for danger of any kind. What had she been thinking anyways?

The chase was on.
Through the winding streets Ron followed in pursuit of the two broods. The voices they had heard previously had either been drowned out by the noises of their running and yelling, or had silenced on their own. He knew the terrain of the city, knowing it could be far too easy to trip and fall over rubble or the strange human objectives, and he knew where Delilah was heading so following her wasn't terribly hard. "Delilah!" He continued to yell. He wasn't too concerned about Lilith and Cael, those two would likely catch up soon. He had faith that Lilith wouldn't pull anything like Delilah had with running off, and it seemed unlikely in his mind that Cael would try and run away as well.
Though she was at least a block and a half ahead of him, Ron saw Delilah come to a sudden halt, turning to watch him and Arietti running towards her. But just as soon as she had stopped, she was off again, winding down an alley way. Arietti, though, had slowed. With a lowered head, the mare was panting, cautiously entering the alley.
As Ron got closer to the alley, he slowed as well. With a few soft pants he turned down the alley, seeing Arietti. "Arietti," his tone was firm. He eyed the mare for a moment before speaking again, "come, let's continue after her. She's likely made it to the warehouse at this rate."

Lilith was incredulous for a moment, delicate face twisting into a scowl. Did Cael not think she could handle herself, here in this city that was hers is not by claim then certainly by spirit? She knew this place, knew all the little secrets it held and all the trinkets it didn't. Delilah knew it just as well if not better, but Delilah - beautiful, whimsical, chaotic Delilah - was so very reckless. Even if caught alone and unaware, Lilith could escape. Her hoofprints would echo across the city, but they would never catch her. She would flee from danger.
And Delilah would run towards it with a smile on her face.
That was why it was so very important to hurry, Lilith thought, and turned her gaze towards the warrior, expression pinched and impatient. But something in Cael's tone struck a cord, the same tune that fluttered through her when one of her children quailed from a roll of thunder. Cael was... perhaps not afraid, but nervous. She felt a pang of guilt as she shifted her weight, letting her galloping body drift close enough that they could touch shoulders, just a little, each time all four hooves left the ground.
Lilith could no longer see their companions, but she had an inkling as to where they'd ended up. "This way," She murmured, darting around a metal box. Best to avoid those, they made quite the racket.
Down an alley, through a street, lurching through weeds and vines that had swallowed up the cracks in the pavement... they ran. Lilith leapt into a building through one of its open wounds, ancient and decaying wood breaking beneath her hooves. Out of a window, long barren of glass, and into another urban crack that was a tighter squeeze than she liked.
The mares spilled out within sight of the warehouse - and Delilah. Lilith released the breath she'd been holding and slowed to a brisk trot, her tail rising to a standing ovation the closer she drew to her best friend. "Are you pleased with yourself? Because you certainly look it." She accused, but there was no bad blood in her tone, only relieved mirth. She did, however, give the mare a sharp bite on her withers, because she deserved it.
Or perhaps she didn't, given that Delilah would enjoy it in all likelihood.

The flaxen could tell Lilith was irritated with her, her urgent tone urging the dark mare to run, to chase after the flighty creature that started this whole thing. Cael allowed herself to eye her silver flower, taking in her irritated yet nervous gate as she lead them through the maze of debris. Cael considered lurching forward, if only to escape the disappointment she was causing her lover but she didn't. Diligently, she followed Lilith over the human items , trotting through the streets with ease until they reached a fallen shelter. Without hesitation, she watched the lady lurch through the tight space, wood cracking beneath the weight of her jump until she disappeared all together. But Cael was reluctant, hesitating at the small opening she wondered if she could even fit through. Was there another way around this structure?
Her gold eyes searched, studying the decaying beams of wood than seemed to close off all other entrances. If he were to find another way around, she would have to move further down in search of a new space. Faint voices could be heard beyond, seemingly casual chatter. 'Lilith must have found the others...' she supposed, eyeing the small opening once more. Surly she could not fit through there; her form far to wide compared to Lilith's lithe build.
Carefully, the flaxen began to move further down the path, senses pricked for any sign of entrance. She did not know this place as they had, and getting lost would be all too easy if she wasnt careful. She could call out to them but... whatever else was out there would hear her too. And now she was alone, suffocated by stone cold walls in the last place she cared to be free from Bachelor eyes.

As she expected, Lilith was the first one to find her. Delilah smiled wickedly, her head cocked ever so slightly as her long dark brown mane fell in ribbons over both sides of her serpentine neck. Somehow, despite her writhing and jumping around, her forelock was still smooth and gave her a pristine look which acted as a strange dichotomy to the fierceness in her eyes and the the cheshire cat grin on her face. "I am pleased, but I'll be more pleased when Ron and Cael come in with their raging tempers and grumpy faces." She purred, before gasping as Lilith bit her, hard. No blood, but the hair was certainly removed, which caused Delilah to giggle a little bit, enjoying the rush of violence.
"Where are they, anyway? Delilah added with a pout, stretching her front legs out in an almost doglike manner, before looking out the dust-coated windows to try to see any sign of them. "Where is my little girl-Cain, she promised me ear nibbles?! Delilah added impatiently, pacing back and forth. Finally her seafoam eyes landed on Lilith again, and batted her lashes at the older mare. "While we're alone, we could start re-enacting the scenario from the first time we were here, don't you think? Ron might forgive me much more easily then, and I want to see the look on Cael and Arietti's face. What do you think, would your Exile just spontaneously combust or would it be a slow...sensual...smolder." She accentuated the last few words with her hoofsteps as she approached Lilith, her head resting easily on the other horse's rump.

The pearl mare walked as if treading on fire, her fine legs lifting up so her knees were almost as high as her chest. The last time she came through an alley like this she'd gotten her legs tangled in wiring. Even though there was none here her unconscious seemed to be taking extra care not to repeat that scenario. Her small curled ears twitched all about as she cautiously picked her way through rubble and trash. She walked like a deer checking the grassland for danger - so timid and careful. You would think she was expecting something to jump out at her any moment... And then something did... Well not physically so, but for her it was close enough.
The harsh voice called her name from behind and she couldn't bite back her frightened squeak. All four hooves left the ground and when they touched the broken down pavement again she was facing the other way, looking right at the large stallion. Immediately she lowered her head, batting her ocean eyes as if it would protect her from his harsh stare that felt like it would drill a hole into her head. It seemed she had gotten in trouble. A shy, apologetic grin pulled the tip of her lips as she stirred a stone with her hoof, looking like a guilty child caught in the act while stealing the cookies.
He spoke again and she flinched lightly, expecting some sort of punishment, at least verbal. Instead his words were calmer. "Right," she practically whispered when he suggested they move on. Carefully she moved to the side so he could go by, deciding to let him go first. He sounded to know this place at least some so it would be best to let him lead the way. Taking her place close behind him she quietly followed as she waited for her fluttering heart to calm down from the scare.

As they emerged from the alley way, Ron paused for a moment to scan up and down the street, then continued on. "The warehouse is not far," he explained to Arietti, "a few more blocks, just follow me and don't even think about running off again." Putting emphasis on don't. He picked up a brisk trot, making his way down the street with Arietti. He lead the mare down a few more streets before turning into another alley way. A small pack of rats scurried ahead of them and then disappeared behind a rotting dumpster. Ron snorted in disgust and carried out. Once out of the alley way the warehouse was finally in sight. It brought him some relief but also anger. "Almost there," he mumbled under his breath, pushing himself into a canter.
"DELILAH!" He barked as he came to a halt outside of the warehouse. He tossed his forelock out of his eyes and looked up at the old warehouse, ears flattened against his skull. "Delilah, your spotted ass better in there," anger hinted heavily in his voice and he slammed a hoof down against the ground for emphasis. Oh yes, he was pissed. He then closed his eyes and took a deep breath, and when he opened his eyes a minute later, he had a much calmer expression. He glanced to Arietti. He'd hold his anger for now. There were much more important tasks at hand.
Ron knew of a few ways to get into the warehouse. One part of it was crumbling, leaving a big hole in the wall, big enough for any equine to fit through. Ron motioned for Arietti to follow him as he walked around to the side of the building where it was crumbling.

"Oh, I'm sure they'll be furious." Lilith joined her by the window, rose gaze scanning the parking lot, littered with human trash and veins bleeding weed. Not a single one of their companions glared back. Lilith frowned. Ron was not the quickest infantrymen, but he wasn't the slowest, either. She'd seen how fast he could move when he wanted to.
And where was--
Lilith's ear flicked as Delilah spoke, familiar honey in the words. The lady ceased her worrying in favor of feigning disinterest, turning her dished head to watch the Delilah slither close. "Want me to help you squirm out of trouble, do you?" She asked, her indifferent facade fading fast. She had to fight the smile yearning to break across her lips. "Oh, I don't know about that..." The lady inhaled sharply as Delilah's chin caressed her croup, dangerous. Her tail flicked up and sideways, unbidden and traitorous. "How will you ever learn to behave if I keep enabling you?" She craned her slender neck and caught Delilah's tail in her teeth, pulling hard until that perfect, slender, buckskin rump was in better reach. She nipped the mare's haunches once, twice, and then favored her with a forceful bite. "You have been so, very, bad." She finished, ducking her nose beneath her friend's tail. Ron was going to love this. And Cael was going to be--
Lilith's head shot up. Cael!
"She was right behind me!" She squawked, sultry tone turning to abrupt panic. She twisted in place, eyes glancing out the window. The captive wasn't there. With mounting worry, the lady twisted towards the exit, and nearly collided with Ron as she ducked out. "Ron! Ron, Cael is missing!"

Dark shadows cast themselves along the towering walls of the city, clinging to every raw crack that crawled up its rigid form. The cool mid-day wind had brought with it a light overcast as the sun struggled to peak through the clouds, light slowly slipping for the flaxen's grasp. Briskly, Cael began to trot forward, heart rising into her throat as she moved along the city streets eyeing each new unshapely structure. Building after building melded together, hugging the next as if to keep each other from crumbling to the cracked pavement below. The few open spaces she passed led to darker and more cramped ally's, each smaller than the one that came before.
The captive's heart fluttered, rising as if to choke her breath as she let out a heavy cough. Minutes had passed, or had it been more, since she had watched Lilith disappear into the black space beyond the shelter. Should she have gone the other way? Made that last turn at the ivy covered wall? She allowed her hooves to step higher, her legs making longer strides as she moved left then right then left again down each passable street. Though her eyes were wide with fear, her vision was beginning to fade; only able to catch what was directly in front of her.
Then she heard it.
The scurry of small feet tapping against stone and wood moved just out of sight. What was that?! The words clung to the forefront of her mind, sending her legs into a full gallop. Cael was no longer worried about being quiet, no longer focused on finding the warehouse where safely supposedly lay. RUN. It was the only option; the only life breathed into her lungs as she hurtled down the narrowing path. The distant calls of Ron and Lilith were lost in the heat of fear, downed out by the clap of hooves meeting pavement. It was then, from the corner of her eye, that she saw it: a streak of red flame that hurtled her back to the day fire first met her eyes. The Fallen City became ablaze with an old enemy that only her eyes could see.

Fight and destroy Bachelors echoed in his mind. That's what the unicorns bid us to do, before they didn't finished their mission, their land wouldn't come to peace. The unicorns wanted a sacrifice. They wanted to taste Bachelor blood.
He gasped as suddenly Caligo's twin - or what ever clone he was, stood between Kali and him and he was pulled from his thoughts. His heart had just jumped into his throat, with an irritated sigh he turned his head from the eerie looking double. How he hated it's eyes, as it was not speaking or making any sounds. He had seen Caligo's replica only a few times and at first it had been exciting and interesting as his gift that he was born with was so outstanding in any manner, but then again it just was an empty shell, animated by Caligo's thoughts, nodding to his commands. As Caligo pointed Kali and his double to go one way around the crumbling building and Arturo with him, he followed the adviser.
The voices became clearly and they hadn't spotted them, it seemed like they had just come here to group together. As Caligo crept stealthy ahead, Arturo had trouble to move his bulky body as graceful as the adviser did. He never had signed up for creeping around and ambush his enemies from their backs, he was an one to one fighter, this was not how Arturo thought an honest knight was facing his enemies. He followed the path as a hole in the wall, poorly covered by withered wooden planks, was next to them. Arturo took a look though the hole and there they where. They all buzzed around, calling to each other excited, an light framed black and grey spotted mare with a big, bald faced stallion. Arturo's brows knitted together in suspicion, the stallion had no mark on his face, what if they where mere Exiles? His heart raced in his chest. One plank hung loosely down towards him and if pulled away, allowed a horse to press through. He slowly wrapped his teeth around the wood and pressed them into the soft surface that tasted of decay. As he firmly pulled on it, the plank seemed to crash down on the ground, but with his gritted teeth and his neck bending and holding the weight, he stopped the plank to crash down to the ground and lay it down slowly.
He wanted to communicated with Caligo, not jumping into the hall and causing chaos, so he looked at him, standing in front of the entrance trying to get his eye contact to show his questioning expression.

"Oooo..." Delilah cooed, lifting her head up slightly, her whole body turning towards Ron's angry calls. Her eyes meandered back to her friend's, her bright eyes still glittering with some sort of mischief. "He's angry." Anticipation lit her up, her smirking smile, her tail flagging, her nostrils flaring. She was ready for him to crash his way in to the warehouse like some mythical red liquid beast and grab her with all of his pent up energy...yet, she somehow got distracted.
"Squirm?" Delilah repeated, as Lilith spoke to her, feigning offense. "What do you take me for? I don't squirm out of trouble!" I slide right into it... she added as a thought, watching the other mare's smile slip across her face, parting her pink lips. A little snicker slipped out of Delilah as she rested her chin back on the other horse's croup, her lips nibbling the dark hairs there gently, innocently including a little nip here and there as she watched Lilith's tail flick away. "Enabling me? Hardly..." Delilah replied indignantly, biting her lip as she imagined those that truly did without realizing it, feeding the monster within her. Lilith simply stroked it and tossed it cookies, which tempered it for now. A loud squeal escaped Delilah as Lilith grabbed her tail and wrenched her closer, relishing the surprise and the sting of the bite, which left all too soon. She bucked a little bit at the second, another peal of breathy laughter escaping her, mint eyes all but on fire now with her insatiable urges. "Yes, yes, I have." She said hurriedly, watching feverishly, but the moment never came as Lilith pulled away, looking for Cael. D rolled her eyes emphatically. "She was a leader of an entire herd for Unicorn's sake. I think she will survive." Delilah muttered as Lilith tore away, nearly running headlong into Ron. Perhaps he would indulge her. "Where is my prize? I won and I want it." Delilah said as she approached, craning her slender neck around the crack in the side to see Arietti. "I have lots of things to teach you, love." D purred, smiling her signature wicked, cheshire cat smile.

"...just follow me and don't even think about running off again." Ari lowered her head all the more when she realized the stress in his tone. For sure she wouldn't be running anywhere. She didn't dare to get him any angrier than he already was. Nope, she'd already determined she was just going to be a good girl the rest of the time. "Yes sir." She whispered just loud enough that he should hear her. The last thing she needed was for him to think she was a disrespectful trouble-maker who needed to be put into her place. Oh no, she knew her place and she'd sit there and not move if that was what was truly desired of her. As the two moved into a trot her dainty little hooves hardly made any sound in comparison to the loud thuds of the stallion's as they angrily stormed down the alley toward the warehouse they spoke of. When they came to the end of the alley she could see a rather large building sitting in the distance. It looked like it could crumble down on them at any moment... then again she thought all the buildings here looked like that. When he told her they were almost there she assumed that was the one and soon he was cantering toward it. Yep, that was it. Quickly she moved into a level canter to follow after him. She stayed close enough that there was no way she'd get herself lost, but far enough that she wouldn't be in his space.
It was a good thing she'd given him some space too, because suddenly he came to an abrupt halt, giving her little warning. She slammed on the breaks, her hind legs tucking underneath herself as she skid to a stop, flinching at his loud, enraged voice. All she could say was she was glad she wasn't Delilah at the moment. If Ari were her, she'd be running and hiding. And then just like that he was calm. He turned to look her way and she was shocked by the controlled look in his eyes. The change had been so quick and sudden that it caught her completely off guard and she didn't even know what to do. Thankfully he gave her a motion to follow or she might have remained frozen to her spot. She quickly shook her head, pushing her long forelock out of her eyes and followed him into the warehouse.
Inside things were not nearly as calm as the stallion. Before they even made it into the building Lilith came running out, almost smashing into Ron's massive chest. She looked so frightened, and then Ari heard why. Missing? already? It seemed so early for someone to go missing. They had only just gotten here and already there was trouble. Now what would they do? Would they all go searching for Cael? Or would some stay here? But then who would watch after them? Ron was the only stallion here after all. Her mind was already buzzing with questions and concerns, and she wasn't even the leader of this group... in fact, she was probably the lowest on the totem pole out of those here. Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the appearance of spotted face and her attention turned to Delilah. The mare's words puzzled Ari and she paused a moment, this confusion rather clear in her wrinkled lips and narrowed eyes. "Me?" She finally asked, her voice little more than the soft chirp of a bird.

A flurry of white and black came running towards him and he hardly had enough to time to react before Lilith collided into his chest. He made a loud grunt and stumbled backwards. He looked down at the worried Lilith, eyes widening at the words she said. "Wha-? How did you loose her!?" he flattened his ears. "Where did you last see her, Lilith? Where did you loose her?" Cain would not be happy with Ron if he found out he lost a brood, especially one of the captives, and he did not wish to disappoint his dear leader and friend. First Delilah took off and ensued a chase through the city, and now Cael was missing....great, this was going just wonderfully for Ron.
As soon as he saw Delilah, he felt his anger rising up again. Though he did his best to remain calm. He looked at her with an angry glare. "Don't expect to get away with taking off like that, Delilah," he told her, "now Cael is missing and we have to find her." His eyes shifted back to Lilith, "I want you to show me where you last had sight of her, show me the path you took to get here."
He then looked from Arietti to Delilah. "Your fun time will have to be delayed again," he said as he turned away. He motioned for them to follow. "For the love of unicorns, do not try to run off, I'm going to loose my mind if I have to keep chasing after all of you."

"I don't know where exactly she went missing. I thought she was right behind me." Lilith replied, the guilt in her eyes almost palpable. Cael had been nervous, afraid, and whether she had meant to or not, Lilith had abandoned her in an urban skeleton and it was on her head. Poor Cael, she thought, ears flattened to her poll. The captive hated small spaces, and the city was nothing but invasive concrete and tight corners -
Small spaces. Lilith's eyes lit up with realization.
"I think I might know where I lost her." She cried, voice rising a hopeful octave. Surely it must have been when she'd leapt through the bones of a dwelling, compact and dark and littered with cracking wood. Surely. "This way, follow me. Let Arietti and Delilah stay put, they'll be safe in the warehouse, won't they?" The lady added, sending the chimeric mare a grin that was pregnant with apology. She did feel rather sorry for their abrupt interruption. "Come, let's find her quickly. Hurry, Ron!"
With a flick of her tail, the mare set off, leading the charge towards the little alley she'd spilled through only moments before -- and stumbling, sliding to a graceless halt as she unwittingly discovered the stallions waiting there.
Lilith stared, rose eyes wide, taking in the sight of a slender appaloosa and a formidable buckskin. Something cold clenched her heart as she realized she did not know them. She knew every bachelor there was, directly or in passing. They could be Loners, her mind reasoned in that split-second of assessment. But it didn't matter what they could be. They were strangers, and Lilith remembered well what strangers had done. The Summer Fields still harbored the stench of death.
"Ron." She said. The lady meant to scream it, but it passed her lips as nothing more than a whisper.
