Delvin - Scout - Exiles
While Delvin was relieved to hear Gallow's diagnosis, the bay scout's reprieve didn't last long. The spotted stallion suddenly went rigid, and his eyes were glued to something behind Delvin. Slowly, he turned to face a ragged looking Peridium Moose and her gangly calf, both of which might as well have been licking their chops considering the look they were giving the group. Specifically Outlaw.
Outlaw, who'd insisted he could walk for the time being, and who was now taking a few deliberate steps in the creatures' direction.
"Not another step, Outlaw!" Delvin whispered harshly, putting himself in between the fiery guard and the pair of moose, trying to keep an eye on both at the same time. "You're in no condition to fight, let alone walk. Let us take care of this problem," he insisted, giving the other stallion a critical look before turning to Gallow and Khazada. "If we can drive off the mother, the calf will follow. Are you all up for another fight?" he asked bluntly, silently hoping the exhausted team could muster the last of their strength. The alternative decision didn't look good.
"I think we're best off stickin' in a group," he directed at Amarante, who wasn't looking all that stable herself. Surely a moose would be easier to drive off than two Ash Bears, but starvation drove predators to full-out mania sometimes, especially when there was a mother and her young involved.

Khazada-Guard-Exiles
All the previous excitement she had about finally going home dwindled away upon seeing the pair of Peridium moose. Giving a rather annoyed snort, Khazada pinned her ears back upon hearing Gallow's orders to protect Outlaw. She didn't need any more push as the draft mare took her own couple of steps forward. Lowering her head some, the dun mare pawed at the ground in front of her, throwing ash and dirt behind her.
Sweat and dirt already covered her once clean coat and already the previous fight with the bears had worn the guard out but she refused to back down as it was her duty to protect Outlaw and the others. And that was something the mare would not so easily forget, even with how exhausted she was. Taking a deep, forceful breath through her nostrils, she stopped pawing and lifted her head, flashing her new opponents a nasty glare. "I'm ready if the rest of you are." Khazada finally answered, her tone surprisingly even for a mare who was out of breath only a few moments before.
Already Khazada could fill another wave of adrenaline rising in her as the mare's body prepared to fight once more, and hopefully the last time. As the draft didn't think she could pull off another fight after this. No, the team would have to go without her.

Galloway - Scout - Exile
As the team came together Gallow felt they could do this. But when Outlaw started to get that determined look again he was worried the feisty stallion would jump in. Luckily Delvin commanded him to stay back and hold on. Gallow agreed and was thankful that the serious bay paint had been the one to put his hoof down. Gallow wasn’t the best at confrontation, he didn’t want to ruin a possible friendship. But Outlaw needed to stay out of this. He could die.
“It’s okay Outlaw. There’s no way she’ll stand against four of us. Stay there and keep getting rest. We need to get you back alive.” Gallow gave a nod to the stallion’s resilience, but also hoped his firm message got through to the stallion.
“I still have some energy left. Nothing like protecting a friend to give you a rush of adrenaline.” Gallow gave Delvin a small smile and a sharp nod. The spotted stallion was more than ready.
“Let’s start out by moving as a group towards them. If we keep ourselves together and make ourselves look menacing maybe the mother will think twice and retreat.” Gallow slowly started to walk towards the two creatures, pawing and snorting. He jumped up on his rear legs and thrashed at the air then fell back down. He really didn’t want to get into another energy draining fight. They needed to get Outlaw back. All he hoped for was to chase them off. No scratches or extra injuries.
