The team of horses seemed to come to the decision that his plan to find the bear was the best one available to them. The Guard knew it wasn't the smartest to head out alone, especially when hunting predators, but it would be like he wasn't even there, right? Plus he could hold his own for at least a little while should something happen. The thought of a fight made a tremor run through his form from nose to tail. The last time the strangely marked stallion fought anything was when his own father challenged him years ago. That had ended badly, for Outlaw acted very strange during and after the brawl. Not the kind of strange that was normal for such a stressful situation, strange as in...dark. Outlandish. It made Outlaw feel dirty and violated afterwards. This feeling wasn't something that the stallion wanted to surface again. Therefore, fighting wasn't something Outlaw was enthusiastic about doing unless there was probable cause...but then again if he was attacked, that cause was pretty damn probable. At Galloway's observation, Outlaw nodded without checking the tracks himself. One, he trusted that Gallow knew what he was talking about. Two, Outlaw figured this would happen when they neared their target. The night breeze wouldn't have enough time to blow the tracks over if they were newer, which explained why they were deeper and more defined.
Their hoof steps were fairly quiet and didn't carry too far across the rolling hills of ash, thank the stars. As the pioneering group continued on, Outlaw listened carefully to Delvin's plan for actually facing the bear. It was a great idea to line up, rear and make noise. That was the bear's language according to Delvin, and with hope it would get the picture and go. After all, with so little food even a bear wouldn't likely choose a fight. And the more he thought about it...the more he felt a bit bad about chasing out this creature. It was just trying to survive, just like them. And they were going to come chase it out all of a sudden, like the fire had done to the herd. The poor dumb creature likely didn't even know that this was Exile land. He shook his mane to clear his head and sighed inwardly. This was a tough world, and sometimes to survive you had to do things that weren't quite fair. His herd meant way more to him than being kind to a predator that would feed on them if it had the chance. Outlaw just hoped this wouldn't end in a cruel spillage of blood on either of their parts and the group could return to The Last Green Lands with some needed good news. His ears swiveled back towards Delvin upon hearing his own name, and he nodded.
"Yes, I can do that, no problem." he nodded with a grin that gleamed with reassurance even in the dark. He had noticed that the mares had fallen silent without another word, and winked at them before turning back to their team leader with a flick of his tail. "I'll be back soon...don't throw a party while I'm gone." Outlaw snorted softly in a breathy laugh at his own sarcasm before heading off silently, easily slipping into the protective veil of night. The awkward silence among the group was killing him and in a way he was happy to be going off on his own away from the tension.
It wasn't long before he could no longer hear the group even if he listened his hardest. All the oddly marked Guard had were the tracks spreading out in front of him and the night sky packed with enough stars for him to just barely see where he was going without losing the tracks. Those tracks...they were larger than his own hoof and even rivaled the size of his head what with the extensively long claws included. The scent was also getting very strong. So strong that he didn't even have to concentrate on it anymore, it was growing heavy in the air, saturating it with the ashen smell. Can't be long now...but I'm ready. the stallion thought to himself. But deep down, was he truly ready to face the strange, dark feeling inside him should the confrontation come to a fight? He wouldn't sleep for days if that were to happen, that's for sure.

Khazada-Guard-Exiles
Shaking her head to once more clear her forelock out of her eyes, Khazada found herself letting her thoughts wander once the group had come up with a discussion. Over in her head played images of what could happen though the negative ones she'd try and push back from her thoughts. However as Delvin's plan reach her ears, she gave an eager nod of understanding as she could do that. Hopefully that is all they had to do. It would seem there was the advantage to being rather large, even with all the disadvantages.
Flicking her ears in Outlaws direction after the stallion agreed to go ahead, she gave a confused look upon seeing a wink directed her way and Amarante's. Giving the small mare a look, Khazada wasn't sure what that wink meant. Maybe it was just encouraging...Yes, that had to be it. Nodding to herself, Khazada seemed to figure it out. Though again the stallion's last comment confused her as sarcasm was something the dun mare just couldn't seem to grasp. "Why would we throw a party?" Khazada nickered aloud, more to herself then her companions. Maybe if they returned with good news, that would be a cause for celebration but out here?
But seeing Outlaw take his leave of the group and scout ahead, she watched the oddly marked stallion until he finally vanished from view. "Good luck, Outlaw." The mare nickered under her breath before her gaze went back to Delvin, Gallow, and Amarante.

Galloway - Scout - Exiles
Delvin’s plan was a good one. Gallow had heard that making yourself bigger was a great way to throw a predator off. Confuse it and ultimately scare it away.
Gallow looked around at his teammates. Amarante was quite and very focused. He could see her eyes searching the dark around her. He could also tell she was tired. He was right there with her. As soon as this was over he was taking a day long nap.
Outlaw responded to Delvin’s suggestion and started to move ahead. Gallow gave a lopsided smile at the stallion’s outlook on the quest. His sarcasm felt familiar and loose. The tension was getting to the group.
Khazada’s response made Gallow smile even bigger. He turned to the mare and gave her a small shoulder bump. “I’m down for a party after all this.”
Gallow was getting ready for this. Outlaw had disappeared from his visibility, slowly blending in to the darkness. For a white paint he was hard to spot. The smell of bear was overpowering with the occasional breeze carrying the scent towards them. Gallow kept an eye out around the black ashen trees. They reminded him of deathly fingers reaching out towards the sky searching for life. It was a little morbid to think that way at a time like this. But he wondered at the ugly beauty of the burnt forest. So much death yet so much potential.

Delvin - Scout - Exiles
It wouldn't be long now. Outlaw had faded out of sight, and Delvin's ears were perked to catch any sign or sound that Outlaw had run into trouble, or trouble had run into him. Brown eyes scanned the dim ashy landscape, sometimes settling on the foot prints, other times lingering on anything that looked suspicious. The Scout knew bears could be as silent as the grave when it suited them, so this was no laughing matter.
"Keep your eyes and ears open," Delvin whispered harshly, feeling his sides begin to prickle with anticipation. Somewhere to his left, a burnt-out tree lost one of its branches and sent up a cloud of ash in its wake. His hooves moved with purpose, though a small part of him wanted to break out into a gallop and force the bear to make itself known. A bird call broke the silence next, sending another jolt up the draught's spine. He felt as though he could kick a hoof straight through the tension hanging in the dirty night air.
He gave his companions another quick look, making sure everyone was still close and still on their guard. Hopefully Outlaw was alright out ahead.

Amarante - Scout - Exiles
Amarante was quite, every bone in her body ready for an attack. She knew that she had to somehow make herself appear big as the other draft horses, as she was a bit smaller due to her blood. She flexed her muscles hoping that would help her stand taller. Though she knew it wouldn't, she just hoped the bear didn't notice. 'It's a dumb animal, I doubt it will.' she thought to herself. Her ears rotated listening for the bear, thoughts of her fight with her mother suddenly flew into her mind. 'Though getting clawed by a bear will probably hurt quite a bit more.' she thought with a little humor. Hey if she had to wait she may as well amuse herself while doing it.
She wondered breifly what outlaw meant by say ' don't have a party while i'm gone '. She giggled to herself, because the image in her head was so funny. It was an inner giggle that didn't sound off. She did hope that he would be alright, though. She already felt some sort of kinship with the strangely marked stallion. It wasn't a crush, more like as if he were family. 'Even if he is a big flirt.' she thought to herself.

The stars in the sky were the only ones accompanying Outlaw on the mission now, but the stallion didn't mind. Just as long as he was thinking about them rather than nothing at all as he soundlessly moved through the darkness. The strangely marked Guard's mind always seemed to need to be running a thousand miles a minute in order to keep him calm lately. It was annoying to Outlaw since he normally valued his relatively clear mind, but still better than what he knew would enter his head if no thoughts were present there. He stepped carefully, keeping his breathing as quiet as he possibly could. It was a good thing that he had learned to travel unnoticed at night right before the Exiles returned home. The scent still lead him true, the bear tracks before him even felt fresh beneath his hooves. Soon a hill took up his frame of vision and the stallion lifted his head a bit. Yes, the tracks pointed up in that direction and from the intensity of the scent, the predator couldn't be more than a few meters away. Very very carefully, Outlaw began heading up the hill in the safety of the shadow of a dead tree whose sickly branches reached for the sky like skeleton fingers. Once at the top, he stood as close to the tree as possible and took a deep, slow breath. The Guard caught the sound of bustling movement through the ash, and the sound of a grumbling that didn't sound like anything he had confronted before. But fear still didn't grip the pale horse as he peeked between two branches to catch a glimpse of the beast. His soft brown eye widened at the sight. A surprisingly bulky, smoldering shape was rummaging through some burnt brush, grunting and snuffling. It's fur was glowing very faintly with flame...it must be playing the game of stealth as well. Probably so it didn't frighten off any food that could possibly be in the area. The group wouldn't be too happy about this...this bear looked large and formidable despite the rough conditions. Outlaw's eyes narrowed in frustration. These horses better be able to hold their own like they said...I can't take this thing by myself if one of them gets frightened or worse...wounded or killed. he thought. But despite his hesitant thought, Outlaw trusted the Scouts and Guard's words. He had to, that's what being a part of a team was about. After all, lies like this only ended in shambles eventually. And in the likes of this bear, if one had been lying, it would either catch that one later or they would have to live with the guilt of letting their team face danger and lose forever. With the bear spotted and identified, Outlaw began backing away from the situation and headed down the hill. But suddenly, the bear lifted it's great head up and scented the air. Thankfully when the Guard was watching the creature from behind the ashen tree, he accidentally rubbed up against it and became covered in black ash that masked his scent enough for the bear to dismiss it and continue foraging. With a smile, Outlaw allowed himself to breathe once more. Though he was careful heading back to the group, he was clearly happy about the discovery of their target. Khazada- Guard- Exiles
"I agree with you there, Gallow." Khazada nickered over to the white and black speckled stallion as after they were done she'd be more then ready for some time of celebration. When they were finished, that is.
Shaking her head, the draft's ears flicked forward as the dun mare kept watch for any sign of Outlaw or any noises that suggested he had run into trouble, just as Delvin was doing. But so far there wasn't another noise on the wind that indicated such. And without any conformation, Khazada felt a bit uneasy and found herself swished her tail back and forth lightly as if to try and ease the tension that was building up inside her.
Wanting to get her mind off of it, she once more glanced over at her companions and hearing Delvin, she gave a stiff nod as it would seem Khazada was already taking the scout's advice. She wasn't going to get caught off guard and she knew she had to be prepared to face this bear when they finally reached it. But maybe for the first time since finding out they'd face a bear, the draft mare knew she was ready for it.

Just as the Guard reached the bottom of the small hill he had ascended in order to spy on the bear, more louder grumbling was heard over the hill. In two tones it would seem...as if there were two creatures. Outlaw flicked his ears back and forth, his dark eyebrows knitted together in concern. His square jaw that was set ever since he separated from the rest of the team gaped open when not one, but two fully grown Ash Bears appeared over the crest of the hill. Luckily his ability and the brush against the tree from earlier kept them from noticing him, but they seemed to have started moving on from where they had been foraging when Outlaw first laid eyes on them. Just when he was about to creep away, a strong gust of ashen wind swept the stallion's mane and tail up into the air. To avoid the powdery stuff getting in his eyes, he squeezed them closed for just a moment. When his vision focused once again upon opening his eyes, Outlaw took a sharp intake of breath. His pupils became black specks in seas of frightened brown as he saw the pair of bears sprinting towards where he had left Delvin and the others, a their teeth gnashing and their claws stirring up the soft ground. I have to warn them...No I won't get there in time. But I have to do something! I can't let those things surprise them or take them down' the oddly marked stallion thought frantically as he leapt into motion. His hind legs propelled his pale form forward, going from a standstill to an all out gallop as fast as he could manage. After all the team wasn't too too far behind.
Dark hooves pounded at the ashen land, throwing up the powder after the pale stallion like waves during a dangerous storm. The crisp air ripped through his esophagus and nostrils as his heart pounded with work, but also with something else. As he gained on the burly bears, the fuzzy feeling in his mind he felt after the fight with his father returned. Outlaw shook his head violently with an angered snort to shake the feeling, and though it didn't leave him he was distracted by the sight of his group nearby. With a last burst of what speed he had left, he rocketed towards the group, sliding to a halt and sending a wave of ash over them.
"GET READY!" the stallion shouted to the others as he turned to face the oncoming predators, his visible eye flashing. No sooner had Outlaw turned his back on the group than the pair of bears appeared to their view, nearsighted from the darkness of night. Every muscle in the paint horse's body tensed, making him look far larger than he had. His obsidian colored tail was raised high and his muscular neck arched. The Guard pawed viciously at the ground before him, ears flat against his skull. This horse wasn't Outlaw. Never before had he looked like this, so aggressive and so...possessed for the lack of a better word. One of the bears began doing the same thing, scraping at the ground with it's gargantuan claws in a show of dominance and challenge. When the pale strangely marked stallion didn't back down, the bear stood up on it's hind legs, parted it's massive maw and let out a roar so deep and loud that it shook the earth beneath the horses' hooves. Outlaw didn't shake or back down. In fact he did quite the opposite. Instead of shrinking away from the creatures and falling back to join his group and attempt their plan that they had discussed earlier, he snorted with a wild, unholy look in his eyes, reared up on his hind legs and emitted a scream that echoed across the land and though the heads of his teammates.
But even with this more formidable stance and attitude that seemingly came out of nowhere, the bears weren't swayed since the strange smaller creature was outnumbered...since the others hadn't reacted fast enough. It would seem that Outlaw had used himself as a diversion so the team could have more time to prepare themselves for the bear attack. But in the meantime, the bears couldn't get by Outlaw as he pawed at them to stay back. However their patience seemed to have worn thin with the stallion, because one of them reared a giant paw back and raked it up the pale stallion's neck and across the right side of his face with full force. With the force of the heavy blow, Outlaw was thrown clean off his hooves to come crashing to the ground near his team. And there he lay for a moment before snorting and trying to struggle unsuccessfully to his hooves to continue fighting the advancing Ash Bears despite the amount of blood pouring from his face and upper neck, staining the perfect white coat an angry red. This definitely wasn't normal...especially for the careful Guard.

Amarante - Scout - Exiles
The group had been waiting awhile for Outlaw to get back and Amarante was a bit worried. What if the ash bear had attacked Out. If he was down they would not know; she wasn't sure how far he had traveled, but she was pretty sure it wasn't close enough for them to hear. She hoped that the strangely-colored stallion was well. She walked around the other horses, unable to stay still due to nerves. Their plan was an iron clad one but so much could go wrong very quickly. 'For one outlaw could be alone out there, wounded badly.' she thought to herself. She had to admit as short of time they had been together she had formed a small bond with every horse in the team. She knew once this was over they would all probably be friends.
She lifted her head as the scent of ash bears suddenly got stronger, her eyes wide. 'Oh no! she though. The worst had happened, the bear had either somehow gone around Outlaw, or had injured him enough for him not to be able to stop it from coming towards the group. Before she could dwell further on that though the bear came into sight. It was worse then she had thought. there wasn't just one ash bear, but two fully grown and healthy ash bears. Having only trained for battle, besides the one with her mother she wasn't prepared for the overwhelming fear she felt but managed to focus on their plan and lined up with the others. Outlaw was ahead of the bear and slid into line beside them.
They all reared up at the same time but their show appeared to have an opposite effect on the bears. Rather then scare them it appeared to enrage them. One swiped att oulaw sending him flying and dusting Amarante with his blood. She spooked at this and it was her unlucky chance that her movement put her right in track with the ash bears and the closest to her. She felt claws dig into her shoulder and shied away just before they dug into her neck.
She darted away, and ran behind her other teammates to safely. “That was so close,’ she thought looking back at the bears.

Delvin - Scout - Exiles
The bay draught's head shot up as Outlaw's sudden warning rang through the dense night air, and suddenly every muscle in his body tensed and reacted as not one but two fully-grown Ash Bears crested the small hill not far behind the frantic guard. This was not what they had accounted for at all. The second bear must've joined up with the one they were tracking from the opposite direction; there had been absolutely no sign of two bears on the trail they had been following.
Delvin felt a cold prickle go straight down his spine as one of the massive brutes lurched onto its hind legs and roared like no other creature Delvin had heard before, but that wasn't all this evening had in store. Instead of falling back into line, Outlaw made a fearsome attempt at retaliation, letting out a cry that came out just short of psychotic. Now the scout wasn't sure what to be more concerned about; the fast-approaching bears or the fact that Outlaw seemed to abandon all sense of self-preservation.
The stallion had no time to dart forward or let out a warning before one of the great bears caught Outlaw across the neck with its terrible claws, throwing the guard to the side as if he were no more than a half-grown colt. Desperately, the rest of the group did their best to appear intimidating, violent, and wild, but a sudden scream from beside him had Delvin's heart drop a second time.
Amarante was struck next, though not as gravely as Outlaw, who hadn't even managed to bring himself to his hooves yet, if he even still could. The mare managed to retreat behind what remained of the group's defensive line, and while Delvin knew Outlaw needed attention desperately, there just wasn't an opportunity right now. The least they could do was make sure neither of the beasts had the chance to finish him off.
Rather than putting himself in direct striking distance, Delvin reared again and began edging forward with every movement, kicking up as much ash as he could at the same time. The less the beasts could see, the better. A group of shrieking horses was confusion enough, but they couldn't afford to take chances now, not with two of their own already injured.

Khazada- Guard- Exiles
Shock was written all over Khazada's face when she caught sight of the two ash bears. And here she was dreading the fact to face one bear let alone two... Shaking her head to force herself to focus, the draft mare stepped beside her teammates just as Outlaw reached them. However her ears flattened against her head upon hearing the beast give it's own roar as never in her life had she heard such a sound. But Outlaw's own cry sent shiver's up and down her spine as that wasn't natural either.
But when Outlaw was knocked down, and soon followed by Amarante receiving her own wound before retreating behind the group, Khazada was sure this couldn't get any worse. Snaking her head and flashing her own teeth in a attempt to make herself seem more threatening, the draft mare was quick to follow Delvin's lead as they couldn't afford another horse to become wounded, not if she could help it.
Ash flew from underneath her hooves as she stamped and kicked the loose dirt and ash into the air around herself and Delvin, just as the bay draft had started doing. Khazada cast a quick look down at Outlaw, hoping the stallion wouldn't end up trying to rejoin the fighting as he was in no condition to help at this point. However she was forced to focus ahead once more though the dun mare was trying not to sneeze from the ash that the two draft's were kicking up. But with any luck, Delvin's trick would help them get back their previous advantage.

Gallow - Scout - Exiles
Outlaw had been gone for only a few minutes. It was amazing how much could happen in such a small amount of time.
The crisp night air and the tiny pricks of starlight were gone in the blink of an eye. Gallow whipped his head up as Outlaw came tumbling over the ridge. At the same time two huge Ash Bears appeared out of nowhere heading straight for the group of horses. Ash was flying everywhere and clouding Gallow's nostrils. Tears were beginning to prick in the corners of his green eyes.
In horror, Gallow watched as Outlaw ran straight for the massive creatures. He watched as they immediately diverted their attention to the paint stallion. And he stood frozen as a giant ragged red mess went tearing down Outlaws neck.
"Oh my god..." Gallow's voice quivered quietly as the situation got worse. Amarante was next to get hit. He couldn't believe how easily these lumbering creatures were catching them. Gallow stared at Amarente's wound as she hobbled behind them.
"Amarante are you okay? Is it deep?" Gallow asked quickly. His attention everywhere at once. Outlaw was still lying on the ground. Gallow saw him try and lift himself but to no avail. The stallion lay crumpled on the ground.
Delvin suddenly reared up on his hind legs followed quickly by Khazada. They moved inchingly towards the massive creatures, screaming and flailing their hooves wildly. The ash bears stayed preoccupied with this, grunting and growling, knashing their sharp teeth at the two horses.
Gallow saw this as an opportunity. He glanced back at Amarante and saw the wound wasn't too deep. Outlaw was the bigger problem right now. He was completely prone on the ground, too close to the action.
Carefully Gallow loped over to Outlaw's form. The spotted stallion kept himself low to the ground, ears swiveling, eyes searching for any danger. He knew he should help with the bears as well, but if Outlaw was left alone any longer he would bleed out.
Gallow reached him and almost balked at the overwhelming smell of warm blood. His eyes rolled into the back of his head for a second before he got a hold of himself. The wounds on Outlaw's neck were deep; the blood looked almost black against his white coat.
"Outlaw we have to get you away from fight. Can you move at all?" Gallow's voice was steady and calm. No amount of his true feelings of fear and horror even briefly showed up. This was what he was good at. He knew how to act in life threatening situations.

Outlaw hadn't even had a chance to glance at his teammates before turning his back on them to distract the pair of Ash Bears. But from the sounds of all the neighing, kicking, and dust flying, he could tell that they had gotten themselves together in the time that he provided them to prepare themselves. Yes, he was lying there on the ground with blood running down his cheek and neck. But he wasn't dead...not yet...and neither were his teammates. To the majorly wounded stallion, it seemed like if he hadn't done what he did then all four of them would have been in his state or worse. And if he protected them just long enough to spare them even the smallest scratch, his sacrifice was worth it.
For awhile now, Outlaw had been doubtful of his heart and mind's intentions. He abstained from any conflict he could be content with not participating in because the dreaded feeling would come back. It would fester and spread though him like an evil virus, making him bitter, angry and violent. Like a beast, no longer the Guard he tried his best to be every day of his life. And knowing that this malevolence was inside him, the pale stallion thought that if one had to go down protecting the others, it might as well be the one with a sore in his mind rather than those with pure, good hearts. But that's just it...he wasn't down. Not completely. After all, as he lay there he could feel his heart pounding rapidly and the ashen air whooshing in and out of his lungs. Lifting his head very slightly to try and attempt to stand and continue the fight with his teammates, Outlaw soon found that the world was spinning around him and that there was a sharp pain on the right side of his face. That bear really did smack the stallion pretty hard, for he was rather dizzy. The pool of blood beside his form went unnoticed...too much was going on inside his head.
It would be best if I stayed here...I saved them those few seconds they needed. I would just get in the way if I tried to fight... Outlaw thought to himself as he slowly lowered his bloodstained head to rest on the ground once more. They're all strong horses. I know they can do this. A deep, shaky breath left him as he tried to calm his quickly beating heart and he closed his eye to try to reduce the helplessness he felt watching his teammates fight without him. But suddenly...You fool! One tap?! One tiny swat rendered you useless?! How can you call yourself a Guard of the Exiles after giving up so quickly! snapped a raspy, snarling voice in Outlaw's head. The stallion shuddered violently, his ears flattening to his skull and his eye squeezed shut. I wouldn't be of any use to them now...but I just saved them from becoming carrion! I protected them like a Guard should! cried out the strangely marked stallion in his own mind. Idiot! You can't 'save' them unless you take down those bears! Not distract them, EXTERMINATE THEM! WATER THIS ASHEN LAND WITH THEIR BLOOD! THIS ISN'T THEIR TERRITORY, IT'S YOURS! GET UP! FIGHT! DO IT! DO IT NOW! roared the voice, echoing off the walls of the Guard's skull. His breath became more labored as he tried to silence the uproar disturbing his thoughts, obscuring them with aggression and hate. No...No I won't! I can't put them in even more danger if they tried to watch my back instead of their own! growled Outlaw back to the voice in his head. This consciousness was all too familiar but none too welcome. It was the same one that was present in his mind when he had faced his father in a challenge years ago. The one that he had been trying to stamp out by not participating in any battles if he could avoid them. But this time it would seem that the voice would be silenced, even by Outlaw's pushy, confident, sound reasoning. No, hmm? Fine. I gave you your chance you miserable quim. I'll do it myself then. the voice replied simply before knocking Outlaw out of control. It ignored the stallion's attempts to stop it and forced Outlaw to his hooves. However despite the new 'drive to continue fighting', the stallion's body was still quite weak. The loss of the blood now pooling at his hooves and full visibility out of only one eye left his body hard to move and control. But he lurched forward a few lengths before almost falling on his face closer to the bears, the consciousness getting frustrated with the body's lack of coordination. Seeing this window of annoyance, Outlaw took the opportunity to push the annoyed voice out of his mind and regain control. Damn thing...I have to get rid of it somehow as soon as we get back to the herd. Which we will. the Guard told himself as he caught a glimpse of Delvin, Khazada and Amarante taking on the bears with the clever cover of ash that they kicked up. But even in his dizziness Outlaw could tell that Galloway was missing. Suddenly the younger stallion's muffled voice pierced the veil blocking Outlaw's hearing, and the Guard stumbled over to him. Blood stained most of his neck, chest and face but thankfully the bleeding had at least slowed slightly. Of course he still needed care soon or he would bleed out, just not as fast as he would have should the blood not have clotted at all.
As soon as Galloway's words registered, he nodded best he could and replied, "Er...yes. I can move." to confirm his words, Outlaw took a few steps forward. He almost went down a few times and didn't manage to stay straight, but at least he was moving a bit. However he was in no shape to run away or continue fighting. His visible brown eye was distant rather than warm as he gazed at the other horse, who he silently thanked for his calmness despite the scent fear that rolled off his body. He shook his head weakly and continued, "No no no don't worry about me right now. Go help the other three so they don't end up like this too." he said as evenly as his voice could manage.

Amarante - Scout - Exiles
Amarante shook her head trying to clear the fear away, she would not turn into that mare that fought with her mother so long ago. She had training now, she was not weak. Finally, after ages, her fear cleared and she was able to focus. She moved her leg to see if she could still fight, it hurt but she would be able to endure. “ I’m fine.” she called out to Gallows letting him know she was alright. She looked for Outlaw and saw he was up but majorly wounded still, he needed help fast and if they didn’t scare the bears away they wouldn’t be able to get him the help he needed badly.
‘The scare tactic isn’t working though.’ she thought to herself, watching her teammates fight the bears. She pondered the landscape for a moment, focusing on a large rock near the bears. ‘I got an idea.’ she thought. She looked back at her teammates before trotting for the rocks hoping she could get on top of them.
Luckly for her there was a way and she soon she was standing at the top of two expansive rocks. ‘I hope this works.’ she thought. She knew she would probally get hurt doing this but hopefully it would be enough to scare one, if not both the ash bears away. After all normal horses couldn’t fly.
She started at one end of the rocks and leaped onto the nearest ash bears back praying the it wouldn’t hurt to bad. Also hoping it would spook the ash bear into fleeing.
