Syria | Exile Scout | Mare
Eyes glanced to the side as another choose to speak up and inform them all on a bit about her. Syria nodded to Aragon and smiled all the more. "A pleasure. You gift sounds quite interesting. Could it in a way make our scents go behind us to not allow them to catch wind of us?" She asked softly as she trotted along side of the group. Syria had to admit this seemed like a perfect group for this mission. So many with unique abilities and gifts. All with a reason. Khala did choose wisely. Though what of the others that remind so silent through it all. She didn't quite know them personally but surely she'd enjoy knowing a bit about them.
Attention turned to Prophet and then nodded all the more. She had to keep her focus and her mind trained and prepped for any situation. A small part of her feared of this to be a trap like many of the little parties were scattered in the city, but would the expect the Exiles to do something like this? Syria shook her head. Focus. She thought miserably to herself as she glanced to the ones that were quiet and she slowed her pace and looked to Shiya and Salvatore a bit curiously. "You both alright?" She was sincere with her words and gave them both a soft smile. She understood if they weren't or was nervous. Who knew what they would stumble upon. But if anything they all had to know they had each others back. "I'm a pretty good smooth talker and with pretty grand horses as ourselves we are a pretty good team." She nodded to them both. It was easy for her at times to remain calm in these sort of situations though if a battle broke loose, of she maybe the end of it all with her overbearing ways and how she can be so reckless in fights. Always biting off more than she could chew in combats. Oh she prayed it wouldn't lead to that the last thing they need to see is her raging off in battle. The diplomatic screaming a war cry. Oh what a sight that would be.

[Adhara//Exile Scout//Mare]
Addie smiled as the little red roan finally spoke, introducing herself as Aragon. Though she was young, it seemed that she had quite the powerful gift. Wind manipulation. She could only imagine what the youngling would be able to do with it once she'd harnessed the full power of it. She was definitely a great asset to the team, and Addie was glad Khala had sent the little red horse along with them. "Hello." The little mare shot a quick smile at Adhara as she moved closer to her. Addie was glad the youngling seemed like the responsible type and didn't seem likely to run off into danger. Smiling back, she nodded her acknowledgement of the roan.
Looking around the mix of horses once more, she noticed Shiya standing near the group, but almost entirely withdrawn in herself. Oh Shiya... Sighing softly, she took a few steps toward the mud covered mare as Syria spoke to her and the stallion, Salvatore. She gave the speckled mare a knowing smile before tugging on Shiya's mane, urging her to come along with her. Addie knew that news of going back to the southern isle had upset the palomino, but she wasn't really sure why.
"How would you like to play a game with me?" She asked, her voice, soft and gentle as she spoke to the quiet. Hopefully a game would be just thing Shiya needed to get back to her old, playful self "I think I Spy could be a lot of fun, don't you?" her smile began slowly spreading across her entire face as she began walking toward the city, feeling Aragon close to her flank as she did. "Would you like to play as well?" She asked the younger mare warmly, stepping over a small pile of rubble in her way. She knew how important this mission was, and she wanted the two younger mares to feel comfortable and useful as well. "Bonus points if you spy something about the Bachelors." She said with a reassuring smile. Maybe they'd catch something she didn't, especially if there was no pressure on them.
"Let us be on, then. Stay vigilant. If there's a small part of them here, who knows how split up they are..."
The grulla mare nodded as Prophet spoke and headed forward at a steady but brisk pace, keeping her eyes peeled for any changes as she spoke in hushed tones to the younger horses at her sides. "I spy with my little eye something..." She trailed off as she tried to decipher what color the patch of flowers a few yards away actually were. Different colors tended to have different grey values, but she could never be a hundred percent sure she was right. "Blue...I think." She said with a small chuckle. Generally her colorblindness didn't get in the way of daily life, but she could tell this game was going to prove a bit difficult.
As they approached the city, Adhara kept a close eye on where the small Bachelor party was. As much as she tried to keep them in her line of vision, with so many buildings and towering piles of rubble, it was a near impossible task. They'd need to find a way to conceal themselves once they got into the city, that much she was sure of, especially if the spotted mare had any hope of really keeping an eye on the small band of barbarians. She wanted to be useful, but unless she found a good vantage point... That wouldn't be the case.

Aragon looked over to Prophet as he started speaking to her "Air manipulation, you say?" she nodded "Mhmm." She hummed and looked over to Syria now "Could it in a way make our scents go behind us to not allow them to catch wind of us?" "Course, I can even push others around with it." she added. Aragon watched as Adhara walked up to Shiya. The horse was completely covered in mud, while Aragon didn't care much about looks but mud sticking to her for too long and being all over her coat would be annoying annoying to her. She looked foreword. The last group she was with to cross the Ridge Mountains were much more serious than everyone else here , they rarely talked about such light topics, they barley even acted friendly to one another.
The red mare looked over to Adhara as she said "Would you like to play as well?" Aragon's eye brows knit together again. 'Games?' she wondered. "Uh, alright." she said. Her blue eyes scanned the horizon after hearing Adhara mention the bachelors. "I spy with my little eye something blue.. I think." One of her eyebrows raised, "What do you mean by 'I think'" She asked, confused. "Ahhh.." She looked around, her eyes searching till she found something blue "The markings on the building?" She asked, her voice softer than before, the arabian had seen a snippet of blue paint on the side of the brick wall. Moving foreword to match pace she asked Prophet "Would you like me to summon some wind to keep downwind?" She asked quietly, not wanting to ruin the mission by letting the small group of Bachelors hear her.

Casting her weary gaze over each Exile, Shiya by now knew or at least recognised everyone by their coats. Though she was glad Addie was here at least. Hearing a familiar term, Shiya snapped her attention to the one named Aragon. Air manipulation. A gift she too recently discovered. What a coincidence. Blinking her eyes at Prophet as a subtle nod, she ambled her way forward before glancing to the mare, Syria, as she asked for her and Salvatore. "Fine," her answer soft and yet clipped. She knew she wasn't. She was anxious. So it was no surprise when she flinched at the tug of her mane. She let out a snort and began to follow Addie closely. Wait, game?! Twilight eyes snapped to the spotted grey mare. "I Spy. Yes please." Carefully she leapt over a pile of strange stones, instinctively using the air to muffle the sound. Gazing around these strange tall dark trees and rocks, it sent an uneasy shiver done her spine. "Something blue..." Scanning left, right and centre, Shiya spotted a few things. The sky, a pretty bird, strange blue on stone and even some flowers. "Bird...?"

Salvatore | Stallion | Guard
The tall dunalino nodded as another mare finally decided to speak, and finally decided to raise his own voice. "It is a pleasure to make everyone's acquaintance. I am Salvatore, a guard of our herd. Like our leader here," he continued with a nod in Prophet's direction, "I have the ability of stealth, and am confident that each of our abilities and gifts for those who have them will be of great benefit. We make a strong band and am certain we will be granted success." The blonde spoke softly; his baritone voice tended to have a fairly large range, and even at a whisper there was a chance of it travelling perhaps too far.
There was an overwhelming air of confidence Salvatore suddenly felt in his team. Though he and Prophet were the only males in the group, these mares, though a few were rather young, had obvious strength. Their determination definitely settled his nerves, and after all, the blonde had a feeling deep inside him that many Exile mares may perhaps be stronger and have more will than the males. Perhaps it was the way the spotted grey mare decided it would be an appropriate time to play I Spy with a few other mares, even in the stress of the situation. Salvatore smirked and rolled his eyes as he thought about the kids' game - one he would often play with his parents as a youngster. He dropped his ears against his skull as attentive eyes moved to focus on the Bachelors in the distance. Bachelors... Salvatore had absolutely no trust for the hooligans, and even though they had not noticed his group moving ever so slightly closer, he could somehow feel eyes on his back - yet he was at the very back of the group.

[ Prophet | Exile High Guard | Stallion ]
As everyone around him seemed to open up more, Prophet's nerves began to relax. Especially with the addition of another member skilled in stealth, he felt he and Salvatore could lead by example in that field, lead by Addie's gift and using Shiya and Aragon's manipulation of air to keep their scents and sounds downwind of the Bachelors. Not to mention Syria's diplomacy, if push came to shove. It was a perfect group. Khala chose wisely, if purposeful. If everything was pulled off, she was an even better leader than the High Guard had anticipated. "If our air manipulators could keep our scents and voices at bay around us.. I admittedly know very little about what you're capable of." He admitted sheepishly, trying not to ruin their eye-spy game.
Another clever idea. A game to keep everyone vigilant. Fun and useful. Prophet glanced back to Salvatore, the only other stallion with them, and motioned for him to join in closer. "When we get into the city, I want the others to watch us closely and do as we do to avoid being spotted. What I haven't decided is how I want to organize everyone. What is your input?" Prophet kept his eyes mostly on the city as they drew closer, but the occasional glance was stolen to check on their game. It made him miss his family, especially his son, despite the warmth on his expression, Prophet's face felt of stone. I wonder if I'll see him here.

Syria | Exile Scout | Mare
Ears flickered back in a way as the mares bunched together to play an eye spy game. Not like she wasn't fond of games or what not. She just couldn't let her mind real back to focus on a game. Mind seemed so warped in thoughts and plans, back up to plans, this was how she worked at times. Her mind playing chess while the others played checkers. She always had to have a plan in tough or stressful situations. Syria eyed them all watching their body relax, seeing muscles become untense, for some reason it made her nerves grow all the more. To relaxed, to calm they all were. Why couldn't she follow suit. Of course she could make her body comply to her request, but her mind, no. It was as if asking for miracles to happen. Syria merely shook her head as she watched Prophet summon Salvator to him, the two spoke of showing them all how to sneak within the city, like a game of follow the leader. Games.
Syria trotted over to the mares and watched as they played the game guessing an item that might be blue? She smiled faintly as the rest was a in a bit of a disadvantage. With Addie that had the gift of far sight, it may take them all a bit to figure out what exactly the item was. A soft sigh escaped her lips hoping maybe listening to others speak would calm her ever growing nerves as the city seemed to be getting closer and closer into view. Syria eyed Addie wondering if she had scene anything out of the ordinary, a part of her narrowed her eyes hoping to see something, but with no gift in such an area she was merely looking as if she was scowling outwards. Shaking her head she succumbed back to her mind and allowed her ears to be swept away with the voices of all those around her.

[Adhara//Exile Scout//Mare]
"What do you mean by 'I think'"
Addie smiled at the younger horse's question. "I'm almost entirely color-blind. I can see shades of grey with minor tints of color, but nothing drastic enough that I can be entirely sure." Her voice was quiet but warm as she spoke."I remember color enough to try and partner it with what I can see now, but that's about it." She smiled, looking around the outskirts of the city. Shattered glass and broken down buildings scattered the landscape, and though they provided ample concealment, they also presented hazardous obstacles for the small team. "Ahhh...The markings on the building." Aragon's soft voice broke into her thoughts and brought her back to the game. "Something blue...Bird...?" Shiya asked inquisitively. It was good to see the shaggy arabian engaging, to see that sparkle in her eyes once more. "Nope and nope." Addie said with a grin, glancing back at the small patch of flowers they were quickly approaching.
The grulla appaloosa flicked an ear forward as Prophet and Salvatore began speaking in hushed tones. Addie couldn't make out what was being said, so she quickly brushed it off, turning her attention to the mission once more. Swiveling her head around, she scanned a gap between buildings that offered a fair view of the road, searching for any real sign of life. Then she saw them, the small group of bachelors, heading toward a small group of buildings surrounding a much larger, almost towering one between them. Why were they going there? It seemed like a dead end for all she could tell. Were they lying in wait for the Exiles? Addie felt her muscles tense and she took a few extra strides toward her black and white captain. "Prophet...They are headed toward that group of buildings..." She motioned toward them with her head."It seems to be a dead end from here, but I can't be sure..." She looked toward the buildings once more, unsure of how much the others could actually see, as her vision seemed to be entirely skewed from the norm at times. "What do you think they're planning?" She asked quietly, her voice betraying her concern. She truly hoped the two stealthy stallions had come up with a decent plan to get closer, maybe even close enough to hear what was going on without giving their position away. Far-sight had it's uses to be sure, but it could only do so much... She glanced back at Aragon and Shiya, wondering about their gift of air manipulation. If the two were able to muffle the voices of the small Exile party, would they also be able to use the wind to carry the Bachelor voices further than they would naturally go?

Aragon nodded, her pace slowed down as she forced the wind to shift slowly, not to arouse suspicions from the bachelors. Now the wind was gently blowing towards them, now it would be easier to track them. Aragon waited till Adhara was next to her before she started walking again. She bit at the inside of her cheek. The young mare looked around the land. 'Blue..' She thought and saw something blue out of the corner of her eye, flowers! 'How had I not seen them before?' She thought to herself before looking back to Adhara, hearing her talk about her color blindness, a small smirk now sitting on her face. "The flowers." She said.
The young mare looked towards the buildings that started to loom over head with curiosity, her and Fey had been over there only once. But they never got very far inside. Her blue eyes locked on the bachelors coats as they walked. The roan looked to Adhara as she moved up to talk to Prophet. Looking away and back to the bachelors she watched. 'Are they going into a building..?' she wondered as she saw them approach a large ware house. She wished she could get closer to get a better look but was out of luck there.

Overhearing the roan stallion, Salvatore, she softly blushed at what she understood. Confident or great were not words she would use for her gift. It was something new and she had so little understanding of it or why she even had it. It felt...wild, and wild was not for the herd life. Or that is what she came to believe now during her time amongst the Exiles. "I can try, but I am still learning it. Still much to learn..." Shiya muttered as she glanced toward Prophet. Always learning nowadays, never stopping since she came last winter. Realising she guessed wrong, the little isabella palomino snapped her head around to Addie and gave her a silly pout. Wait that only left the- "The flowers." She heard Aragon answer. She beat her to it, quick on her hooves. In the back of her mind, she glad for it. Turning her attention to the Bachelor group, Shiya was once more unaware of her instincts taking control of the winds. Driving the the strangers' scents toward her own little group. So understandably, she flinched when she hearc the screaming yells. One of the mares was clearly upset at something. But at what she lost it as the voices dropped low again. "Someone with them is not happy. Sad and very angry it sounds."

[ Prophet | Exile High Guard | Stallion ]
His head snapped back to Addie upon hearing her words. He too had heard a very unhappy sounding female voice, that had tapered off eerily into silence. His mind went into overdrive. Even with farsight to their advantage, they couldn't use it if the user couldn't see their targets... But a panic would also leave them open to being spotted or making careless mistakes. "We have to pick up the pace. If we lose sight for too long, that leaves us vulnerable." Prophet called quietly, giving each member a knowing look, mentally checking them over.
"What do you think they're planning?"
He drew a deep breath. Even if they hadn't been spotted, the group was going for cover, or at least appeared to be. "With so many mares, I doubt they're going to be a huge threat to us if they decide to attack... but I don't think that's their plan if they're out here trying to hide." Prophet said softly, debating their next move. Should they go in further to investigate or keep moving? After the Exiles that aided Olde in their war returned South, he knew some of Olde's mares had been taken. What if they were in this group?
No. He shook his head. It wasn't the Exile's war. They were only out here playing defense. All the same... if an Olde captive was found in need of aid... could he truly leave innocents to the barbaric stallions? His eyes deepened in color, a black film seeming to cloud over them. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. "Everyone. I want to hear your thoughts. Shall we pursue this group further into the city or keep moving?"

Syria | Exile Scout | Mare
Syria watched as the others told of the events unfolding before them. A shrill cry of a mare was heard and they spoke of them hiding within the buildings of the land. Attention turned to Prophet as he spoke. They had to make a decision to move on or go pursue them. Though to her the choice of words seemed a bit off in all honesty. A faint snort escaped her nostrils as she took a second to think about it. They came here for information and so far all they had was hiding horses. That wouldn't aid them at all.
"We should continue to look into this I'm not saying we should pursue them that would be a dead giveaway we are up to something and on to them. But we did come here for information and so far this group of horses is all that we came across. If we lose them any chance of information on this could be gone from us. Leaving us with nothing to report." Syria glanced to them all wondering if any shared her view and thoughts. "They are hiding for a reason and if they know something we don't this could greatly aid us. Perhaps we could be so lucky to avoid getting into more conflict with the other herds. Knowledge can always level the playing field for us." Syria nodded and felt good with her statement. She had admit she was indeed quite curious how in a land filled with bachelor's this was the only group they had seen. This didn't make sense at all. Where was everyone else? Eyes narrowed faintly as this all wasn't making much sense anymore.

[Adhara//Exile Scout//Mare]
"...Everyone. I want to hear your thoughts. Shall we pursue this group further into the city or keep moving?"
Prophet's words broke the uncomfortable silence that had been lingering ever since the wailing had ceased. The grulla turned her attention to Syria as she spoke her mind on the matter. She wanted to continue surveillance from a distance, which Addie understood and agreed with. They needed more intell if they were going to have anything of value to report.
"There's got to be a way to sneak into one of the closer buildings without being se-" Addie's voice trailed off as she focused her sight on the entry of the building the Bachelors had taken refuge in. A small, pale, form stepped out of the door and began looking around as if searching for something or someone. "I think we've been heard..." She whispered rather urgently, looking briefly to Prophet for guidance before returning her attention to the pony-like figure.
She stared at the pale horse for what seemed like an eternity. Mercedes? She thought, watching the mare gingerly walk down the old, broken road. No...It can't be...Can it? The resemblance was uncanny at best, but there was no way she would be there.....not with the Bachelors anyway. She'd disappeared years ago, and Adhara had assumed she'd been killed by some unknown predator. She felt the blood drain from her face, feeling much like she'd just seen a ghost...

Shiya |Exile Scout | Mare
Her murmured words went unnoticed by the others, but it hardly phased the young mare. Wind stirred her mane and tail as it danced around her, like an excitable dog eager for attention. Instead her attention drew to those they had discovered. She watched and listening most intently, trying to figure out why they came to such an unnatural place as this. What were they doing here, she guess she'll never know unless she asked these Bachelors. Barely overhearing those of her group one by one, Shiya came to agree. They needed to know more, otherwise what was the point of them being here. "Find out more from them. Might not find anyone else if we moved along." Quietly stepping toward's the Bachelors' direction, the little mare felt Addie tense up so suddenly beside her. A glance to her and Shiya could see something had made her...uneasy. Or more like she had seen something she had gazed upon for a very long time. What was it? Snapping her gaze back to the strangers' way, she too went rigid as something caught her eye. White, then a flash of gold.... Having selectively missed the black mane and tail and the fact it was two horses, her mind was hasty to conclude she had just discovered someone she had not seen in so long and had almost forgotten of. Mother.... She did not hesitate or give notice to her company as she broke out into a brisk trot toward the strangers/Mother.
