Eden's ears perked as Tem gave his sheepish reply, and his heart reached out to him, annoying as that was. "Nah," He said, blowing on one of the bay's fairylights as it hovered close to his snout, "I'm sure you did a great job." Ugh, blegh. Feelings. Gross. Trying to shake off the awkwardness of being nice, Eden turned his gaze the way Tem had come, trying to spot Ciel and his king in the darkness. He fancied he saw a flash of Vasska's dappled coat... but perhaps it had been no more than a trick of moonlight. Regardless, he could certainly hear Ciel. His strange little accent was distinctive.
"Well, great, everyone's together. A bunch of jackasses standin' in a circle." He grunted, before looking to Tamera. His gaze narrowed into one of a doctor's shrewd suspicion. "Tamera, are you injured?" Before the knight could answer, however, Odette's voice had caught his attention, and Eden once more shifted his gaze, this time to the blocked path. The vines were alive, wriggling and writhing, an effective blockade with ominously glowing flowers. It was as forboding as it was ludicrous looking. Eden shuddered.
"If anyone's good with direction, now would be the time to speak up." The healer said. He hoped there was an astrologist or nature buff among them. Stars could tell you which way to go, right? And moss or something? Eden grimaced and shook his head. Whose bright idea was it to bring three healer mages on this trip? It wasn't often he felt this useless, but damn.

Tamera|Knight
Apparently still shocked from nearly stumbling into good o' Tem as the stallion behind was in the full view her mouth slightly a gaped and eyes widen. She barley heard what the male was saying as a small flicker of light made by Tem pass by her face. She shook her head a few time trying to get the image out of her mind as she heard the stallion murmured an apology. "uh...its alright Tem." She went silent again as her face was still obviously flushed crimson, but this time the Knight tried to stand up as she heard Eden ask if she was injured or not, but before she could answer him the bay mare talk about how the vines had started to block the path that they previously had traveled from. "I'm fine Eden just some small scratches and whatnot." She answered at the Healer mage after he had finish speaking though nearly chucking from his sarcastic tone and use of words to describe the bunch. Its not like she could disagree this was an odd make up for a team and certainly not a strong one for protecting either. Nevertheless it has gotten them alive for the moment and that was good enough.
Vasska and Ciel has come into full view yet but the mare could hear Ciels voice from the direction Tem came from. To bad Tamera wasn't such a nature guru kinda horse but at least she knew the basic of getting back to civilization, but she already knew most would know that either way. Now as for stars now that a different story perhaps one of them could be able to read it and lead them to safety? All Tamera was capable of doing was to be there and try and protect them from another mishaps that could certainly bound to happen. "All I know are the normal basic, but if anyone hear knows how to read the stars that would be really helpful." She spoke up loud enough for the group to hear.

With the relief of reuniting with his peers once again, the pony found newfound energy swelling within his belly and siphoning into his legs. His steps were weak, shaky, and hesitant, but nevertheless he was able to walk on his own. Breaking free of his support, he shook off any feeling of embarrassment and limped to join the gathering. Unfortunately, energy wasn't the only thing swelling up his stomach. With each stride- as uneven as they were- came a small release of gas from his rear. As silent as it was, he had only hoped none had smelt it. By the horn, what was he meant to say if they did? He couldn't even stop it from escaping. Why does this always happen when I jus' bloody snack, eh, Unicorns?! Do you fellas hate me or somethin'? As he rung this thought through his brain a few times, he had realised all the times he had been unfaithful to them- and he wasn't counting that time he drank from the praying pool. Dismissing the statement, he grinned like mad as he was nearing the group.
"Oi! Oi, fellas! How'd you fare withou' me lookin' ou' for you?!" he teased, attempting to seem his former self again to not worry his herdsmates. Luckily that li'l bout of gas 'as passed. Maybe the Unicorns don' hate me, eh? Shaking the forelock out of his eyes and readjusting his ribbons, the Healer stayed alert to any upcoming topics of conversation.
His senses were quite dull, yet he had spotted some constricting vines writhing amongst the foliage and trees whilst on his way to his current position. It only worried him in the slightest, but he could tell it might alarm the others much more. After some more mental combat, he decided to bring it up, completely oblivious to any upbringing about it beforehand. "... there's, uh, some bloody... majestic vines back there. They're all movin' 'n' everythin'! As if they're a mane flowin' in the wind, you know?" he began, knitting his brows together before looking back at Vasska to make sure they hadn't randomly snatched him up.
Wait a second.
Vasska.
Suddenly, his childhood flowed right back to him. Ciel decided to use it to make everyone feel alot more safer, because heck, even he was getting a bit paranoid. "--Bu' i's okay, everyone, alrigh'? Vasska's a unicorn, remember? He'll help us ge' ou' o' this mess, jus' you see." He flashed a hopeful smile up at Vasska, puffing out his chest in pride. After all, his king was a unicorn. What could go wrong?

Vasska caught up with the others slowly, keeping his eye carefully on ciel as they trotted forward. He worried about the small pony, and in more ways then one. And while they couldn't be safe yet, Vasska was content to know that their rag-tag team were together once more. The increasing speed of the rustling of the vines had him worried however. It was as if they were coming completely alive in the darkness of the magical forest. He felt concerned as they all came to the consensus that no one could read stars (even if they could manage to see them through the thick brances of the forest) and no one was a student of navigation. His sense of doubt was slowly trickling back to him as he waited, and his knees felt shaky when suddenly Ciel spoke up. His voice was confident and Vasska could only hope that the worrisome pony had a plan.
"Vasska" His name shot a bolt of deeper fretting at the leader. He was born unicorn, everyone in the heard knew the legend, but could he do anything? His horn had been lost in the youngest of his years and he had never known what it was like to harness unicorn power. But ciel was right, he /was/ a unicorn. A smug smile crossed his face, he was their leader and he would get them out of this regardless of having unicorn magic or not because he was born of them.
"We're going to make it out of this alive" he announced, that feeling of pride from just before the battle surging in him again. The vines started wrapping around the hooves of him and his comrades, he needed to act quickly. "Follow me"
He ran off in the opposite direction of the vines, over rocks and trees towards where? he had no idea.

Things were getting a bit...constricting, what with the steadily moving vines edging ever closer. It was like they were purposefully blocking their escape path and as he watched they entangled further behind Vasska and Ciel, creating a wall of wriggling green. Vines crept up on all of them, too, trying to snag their limbs and more than once Tem had to jump to the side. He had no doubt that if they wrapped around his legs, he'd be done for. He had no real bulk to him and no way of weighing them down enough to wait for help. So he relied on his speed and reflexes, hovering a bit in the shadows to hopefully confuse the plants. Even if his ever appearing fireflies ruined the effect. He was getting a bit tired, but he'd keep the things up until they were out of the dark, damp forest.
"I'm sure you did a great job," Eden spoke and Tem gave him a thankful nod. He'd tried his best, at least.
"While I'm not very useful, I can guide the way, I guess."
He watched one of his lights spark brightly and hover over Vasska's head. In fact, most seemed to gravitate towards him, making Tem wonder if that had to do with his own preferences, or if they were magically drawn to their king. He wouldn't be surprised about either option.
"If anyone's good with direction, now would be the time to speak up."
"I have no skill with that," Tem spoke. "And very few skills altogether, but I can walk ahead and make sure we don't run into anything? I am fast and my lights could help?"
He glanced at the knight, Tamera, and gave her a small grin. "Maybe I can make up for my earlier stumble by making sure you don't suffer the same fate."
Next to him, Ciel seemed to finally find his legs. At the same time, his words flowed freely again and it made Tem feel more at ease. If his friend - former friend! - was back to talking, he couldn't be in too terrible a state.
"And a mighty unicorn, indeed!" he replied. "Who needs a horn, really."
"Follow me."
Vasska seemed determined to make it through, so Tem nodded sagely and followed. His lights hovered and his spirits soared. They danced ahead of the king, illuminating their strange surroundings in bright flickers of light.
"To the ends of the known world, sire," he spoke. "Or at least to the ends of this forest, for now!"
Another of his lights died out, but he soon sparked another. They'd get out of this place, he was sure of it. They had a unicorn, after all!

"Preferably the end of the forest that comes out on the side we entered." Eden muttered in the wake of Tem's war cry. Following his king to the edge of the world didn't have the same appeal to him as it did to the twitterpated bay. No, Eden just wanted to go home. He wanted the comfort of the Silver Wood, and the company of the few friends he could tolerate. Most of all, he wanted his brother Taishen. A meatshield and good banter was precisely what he needed at the moment.
But there was no time to wallow. The group was moving, and he didn't relish the idea of being left behind again.
And so it was with a snort that Eden latched his teeth around the pretty ribbon in Odette's hair, tugged it loose, and burst into a gallop after the others. "Better hurry up." He mumbled around the fabric. He told himself he was being antagonistic to make sure Odette kept pace, and not because he was still cross. He wasn't. Honest. Even if the dun was a complete and utter ingrate whom he should've just left to the vines. He'd robbed them of a good meal, and what had it earned? A scolding!
But he wasn't bitter. At all.
Honest.

"Yes, thats right Vasska has the Unicorns blood running through his viens and he his our King I am sure we will be fine." She replied as she heard Ciel trying to reassure the team about Vasska begin a Unicorn. It wasn't she was doubting that their King could get them out of the situation but it was better to still worried somewhat then not to be. As someone once told her its always better to be cautions then not to be at all.
"Ah, its fine Tem, really its fine." She answered quickly with a smile back at Tem, trying too not remember a certain horses hide in her mind which felt like it was going to last for quite some time.
"Follow me."
Their king ran off in the opposite direction from the vines after he told them to follow him. Luckily Tem was able to make new little floating orbs of light as it lit the way guiding them and lighting the darkness that consumed the forest.
"Alright guys let try and keep up the pace together, we wouldn't want to end up begin separated again!" She spoke up loudly making sure everyone heard her hoping this reminder would make some less likely to trot slowly and alone. "Odette that means you too, we don't want those annoying vines trying to catch you again." She added as she pass the bay mare who was close to Eden, before running off following Vasska and Tem. As the chorus of agreement and validation rang through his comrades, Vasska felt the pride within him grow. As mindless as it was, he had to have faith that the unicorns would hear his prayers and lead them in the direction of freedom. His feet felt like they were being placed by god, and he wondered if the great compromiser himself was guiding his footsteps. The darkness around them didn't seem to lighten, and there was no true way of knowing what direction they were heading toward - but Vasska felt sure that it was the right one. Just when the king began to wonder if his gods had failed him - there was light.
After being in the nightmare that was the forbidden forest, the light of the morning sun was almost blinding. He felt disjointed- had they really been in that forest all night? The king had been sure it felt only like a few hours. He understood why the the forest had so long been forbidden- and then suddenly he didn't understand. There it was in front of them, a long spiraling trail that he'd only seen once before - on the opposite end of the island connecting to the bachelor island. But this, was longer and thinner than any landbridge he knew, and yet, he wondered - why did the olde herd never know of it before?
"Tem, Tamera, Eden?" He called, hoping that they would confirm what he saw was no dream.

Eden slid to a halt beside his king, spraying sand and soft curses. He was exhausted, his legs aching, his heaving sides flecked with sweat, but it did not matter. Odette's ribbon fell from his lips as he regarded the expanse of beach before him, eyes locked on the thin path that cut a pale divide through the ocean and beyond to... to where? The other end of the East? Fear swelled in his chest at the thought, but was quickly stifled. Any Bachelors trying to cross this bridge would be met with the Forest, a foe as potent as any defender mage.
Squinting, Eden tried to make out the land mass beyond the waves, but it was either too hazy, or his vision too poor. "Majesty," He murmured, "have you ever--"
A soft hiss caught the healer's attention. His mouth clicked shut mid-sentence. Tendrils of fear grasped his heart. Slowly, like a man who knew he had to turn to face his own death, Eden lowered his gaze from the landbridge to the beach. "S.." He whispered, every hair on his body standing at attention, "S..."
There must have been a million serpents writhing in the shallow surf, their colors fantastical and their heads gleaming with what looked to be gems. Eden didn't know, didn't care, because jewel encrusted or not that were still--
"SNAKES!" He screamed, voice going shrill as he backpedaled right into Tamera's chest.

Tem was trying to stay positive. In the wake of danger and mayhem he needed to to keep sane. It didn't help that the forest was pressing in on them and herding them in a direction he wasn't familiar with. What if they were running deeper into the heart of the wicked woods? What if this was some sort of trap and they'd never find their way out? It made the tiny bay shiver. And not just because vines were reaching for him and threatening to carry him off. He upped his pace, keeping tread with his king and the others. Best not to fall behind.
"Preferably the end of the forest that comes out on the side we entered."
Tem sighed. "At this point I'd settle for any side, really. This forest is getting more dangerous by the minute."
They dashed through the foliage now. It was still dark, only minutely broken by Tem's light, and occasionally Tem found himself jumping awkwardly over something that would trip him. Vines, of course, and the occasional tree. Some had fallen and some rested crushed on the forest floor. Had the vines done this to them as well? Luckily he was fleet of foot and could keep out of their reach.
"I'm with you," he replied to Tamera's call to stay grouped. "Honestly, nothing could part me from you guys. This place is terrifying."
And indeed it was, but soon hope sparked in Tem. Was that light up ahead or was it a figment of his imagination? His fairy lights paled in comparison to it, though, and as they came closer he could see the forest thin. Trees grew smaller and wider apart. Vines couldn't cross the gaps and eventually fell away entirely. With a wild leap, he found himself breaching the forest's edge and into soft sand. He stood transfixed, then, and stared out over a long stretch of beach. Water wrinkled and splashed not far from them and there was a salty tang in the air.
"What is this place?" he murmured. "Why would the forest try to keep us from reaching it?"
The whole situation made him shake, not aided by Eden's sudden, frantic call. "SNAKES!"
They'd left wriggling vines behind for the threat of wriggling serpents. Tem blanched and hovered uncertainly, staring at the landbridge ahead and then glancing back at the forest behind them. It looked imposing and impenetrable. Just as dangerous as the hissing mass nearby.
"Surely we can't go back?" he asked softly.

Tamera|Knight
Upon hitting the end of the forest as they followed their King, the light coming off from the sky seems to have mean that they have been in that ridiculous forest till dawn. Tamera yawned slightly as she shook her neck trying to keep herself from feeling too exhausted from the eventful murderous vines. As her eyes land on the view of the beached sand and its waters has a land bridge that looks thin and winding leading out towards another unknown place that was cover in mist. 'Where does this lead too?' "Yes, my lord what is it?" she spoke as she trotting over to where Vasska and Eden was standing. "Majesty"" Have you ever--"
"S.."
"S..."Before the mare could even look over to Eden whom was in front of her she felt the air rushed out of her chest. " SNAKES!"" Damn it Eden, what am I a cushion?" She snapped at him as she took a few deep breath trying to shake the feeling of slight pain that had over taken her before her eyes landed on to the colorful reptiles slithering upon the beach. " It's just a few snakes, if you stop trying to yell and react it might not bite you!" her expression turned into a frown as her ears flapped down. Honestly the mare actually liked snakes they were interesting and these new and odd ones were no different. " Try and calm down first and careful not to make it feel like you are a threat." She tried to reassured the stallion. WC:259| 12th post = 7 Tier

Odette's eyes widened, and her jaw slackened as Eden simply yanked the carefully tied silk ribbon from her mane; her forelock now free to fall into her eyes in a curly, unruly mess. It took Tamera's words to her to snap her out of her shock enough for anger to take over. This little act of antagonism was the straw that broke the camel, or well horse's, back.
"EDEN!" Odette practically screeched, charging after the buckskin; hardly caring that she could barely see with all the silvery blond strands blocking her vision. It didn't take her long to catch up, and just in time for Eden's scream of terror. The red mare glanced down disinterestedly at the scaly creatures which were causing the healer so much grief. She lifted her eyes then to level Eden with a look that positively dripped with 'are you kidding me right now?'
"I'm sorry, I wasn't aware we had a baby on board for this expedition..." she paused as she leaned down to snatch her ribbon back up from the ground, "One who doesn't understand its impolite to steal." She finished in a bitter mumble as she swung her head around and managed to tie the strand into her tail for safe-keeping.
Odette looked out towards the water then, breathing in deeply --glad to be out of the stifling forest behind her. 'The sea...so I was right...' She looked down at the land bridge then, tilting her head in thought; contemplating the pros and cons of simply just marching across to get away from the horses she, in her opinion, had already spent far too much time with.
"So are we just going to stand here until Eden dies of a heart attack or are we actually going to get somewhere?" She said gesturing with her head towards the narrow strip of land, "Unless any of you have a better idea." she challenged, raising a brow at the group.
