Prime | Exile High Guard Mare
Prime froze as Cael scolded her, her lips pulled together in a harsh line though her ears feel back in shame, the fire that had burned in her amber eyes ignited! She was sooo darn stubborn! Couldn't she even dare try and think of anything else? ANYTHING?! It made her so mad that her body began to tremble in furry... All she wanted to do was to marsh right up to that smug looking brute and- GaaaaH! A heavy rambling beastly snarl left her, a sound that seemed impossible to be able to obtain in her body. Which only made her held back emotions seem all that more forced back, the ground below her hooves now shifted due to her shaking body. I will never forgive you. She gave her leader a final glare, filled with disdain...but more than anything disappointment and- feeling how her eyes began to wheel up with tears she turned. This wasn't right. How could she just give up? This wasn't right not at all, I will not watch this, I refuse to accept this!!! At least I'm not willing to be some stupid brood. Because that is what you will be taken as, I rather die in battle than subsume to such low life's. She snorted still with her back towards them all, her passion was indeed both her biggest attribute but as well her biggest flaw for in that compassionate spirit she allowed her emotions to take a hold of her more than anything. Perhaps with time she would be able to see this from another angel but right here and now, in her eyes..Cael had betrayed them all, she hadn't even considered it to been anything else than a defeat. Leave then, kiss their hooves all your heart desire..you coward. Her toughts was mostly in ire towards feeling useless more so than towards the leader herself. Prime tried for a moment to regain herself but there was no ending with this building up tension in her musceles, shaking her head the appaloosa left the group. It was probably better for had she seen one more smug smirk from those brutes she would have snapped.

[KANU]
As Cael burst, Kanu remained still, expecting her to take over soon enough. At first he was the one trying to stop her from making her own decision, from helping her herd, but he then realised that it was not his place- no matter his rank amongst his family. He eyed the Bachelors as they smugly chuckled and schemed, their rat-like demeanor's making him scowl with disgust. They wanted the Exiles to wail and cry from the loss of their leader? They wouldn't. He wouldn't let them. He knew Cael would be completely capable of holding her own amongst the herd of brutes, she wouldn't break and she wouldn't let the Exiles down. She had done her part, now it was the Exiles jobs to show the Bachelors how strong they really were. They had been through so much and prevailed every time, this would be just like any other time.
As Prime seemed to mentally rip Cael to shreds before leaving, Kanu followed her closely behind before she could get too far. He nudged her slightly so he was still facing the Bachelors, but his eyes were firmly on her, "Prime! Now is not the time to break down and express your hatred for this deal. None of us like it, I for one would be glad to give those brutes a piece of my mind- but it's NOT the time. Doing this is foolish, dangerous and does nothing for the herd. You are simply giving them what they want- they want us to fall apart at the seams, right now you are showing that we are. I don't want that to happen- I can't let that happen. Please, Prime, at least hold off until they're gone. Once they leave, feel free to rip up their land, cry in their water and rant to me about anything. Ok?" He said, hoping she would agree and understand where he was coming from. He looked past her at the Bachelors again, squinting his eyes fiercely.

Ryder | Exile Scout
Ryder flinched back at Prime's speech. He knew the last part had been directed at him, and the words were like salt in his wounds. He wished he could talk to her, but now was definitely not the time. The Bachelors were here, and the situation just wasn't right. He sighed quietly just before Cael spoke. Her words were harsh and directed at Prime. Ryder looked at the high guard in concern, seeing the anger boiling up inside her. In any other time, he would have followed her as she stormed off, but Prime was obviously mad at him, and he guessed that seeing him probably wouldn't help anything. To his surprise though, another horse broke off from the group, trotted after the furious guard: Kanu. He was a respected horse, and Ryder knew whatever he said to her would help a lot more than anything he could tell her. The brown paint shifted his weight, feeling a stinging pain from the scar on his chest. His brother, Bryce, had done a lot of damage in the fight that they had had, and the wound was taking a long time to heal. At least the scar made him look a bit tougher.
Ryder's torn ear swiveled in Cael's direction as she addressed them. His blue eyes softened at the mare's sacrifice. He knew she was doing it to benefit the herd, but it would definitely put a damper in their spirits. What hope was there when their leader was captured by these brutes? The fiery maned leader would make it through this though. They all would. Each and every one of the Exiles had something to fight for, and that fact would help them prevail. Ryder took a small step forward toward the black mare, giving her a reassuring smile as the Bachelors came back.

Prime | Exile High Guard Mare
I'm about to shove a hoof up their hind and you want me to stay AND be calm? How can you just stand here and let it happen? Was all that went thru her mind as Kanu spoke, she could read the ire in his own eyes.. but unlike herself he seemed to know how to deal with these kinds of battles. As he nudged her the appaloosa pulled away from his touch. For a brief moment it looked as if all her emotions was going to be lounged out on him. "I don't like being told to shut my mouth and stand by 'proudly' and allow them to abuse others. I'm sorry if you see that as a weakness or failure, but I will not apologize for it. I don't have a game face like you or Prophet does... I can't just... Cael already told me to lay of, so I'm trying to do as she wish but I bloody can't, Kanu. This is wrong.. We were already splintered.. those who just got back, you think they will remain here once they get to know this? You really believe a word that comes out of that snakes mouth?" She opened her mouth but snapped it together in a clamp, she had nothing good to say. She was so disappointed for if they planned on fleeing the whole time why had they not done so right after Seeker..why had they allowed so many to be turned over. Why? Why did she have to remain silent to see these devil spawns abuse her herd..
Tear up their lands? A loud snort left her at this suggestion. She wanted to tear up their tails from the roots. She wanted them to get to know what it felt like to suffer, to feel, to be defenseless caught in a storm.. those cold stone faces smashed away from their features forever. This form of battle was not unfamiliar to her but silence had never been her weapon. Electra or Stormcry was much more skilled in the use of silence as a weapon, they had this annoying though effective ability to settle their eyes piercing thru you with cold. She wished she knew how to do that.. Her eyes flickered open hold on, had he question her loyalty?!
...her eyes adverted down towards the herd, and she grew worried at what she saw. Most of them looked up towards them awaiting the outcome from this, the horror in the few mares with foals at their sides. That image would haunt her, seeing the herd at the edge of gripping into chaos. The bangle around her leg had never felt like a burden until this point it had been a precious totem to her, now it weighted her down. They needed her to be able to keep from showing just how much she cared. She needed to be strong for them, protect them by all means, be a firm point just like their leader... As it now unintentionally made her a target for the bachelors to peek on. Cael had already show her disappointment in her, she didn't want that from Kanu as well.
If looks could kill, her burning amber orbs beaming towards the gathering of brutes would have been turning them to ashes, eliminated. Respect...as if, at most she would show a holy proof of restraint. But her eyes needed no words to send thru the message, pure hatred. One she within a few breaths turned back into disdain, her muzzle formed into a thin line, harsh swing with her tail as her amber eyes pinned down that elite palomino's as he seemed to be holding a certain contempt gleam in his own. Though her focus was directed towards the brute her words was spoken with a certain warmth in it, for she knew her captain was just looking out for her.
"That's not necessary, Sir. A nice offer with good intent I'm sure but I will use this..fuel to do something more meaningful than waste my energy on twigs. I will seek her out.. For I'm done talking." Her voice rang proudly in a firm but passionate tone. Only the last four words was spoken high enough for them all to hear. She wasn't sure the witch would be able to help her but it was better than to waste her ire on destroying this cursed land. Perhaps he would be disappointed to hear that, perhaps all of them were disappointed with her. She could hardly say she did a very good job to not keep her thoughts as open as a book. Biting the inside of her cheek the mare arched her neck higher, withers rolling back into a more comfortable posture. For the herd.. Prime closed her eyes, uttering a heavy sigh..Just how was she supposed to...? Mock them with it. She could hear Stormcry's voice guide her and it caused her lips to tug up in a smug grin, aye now that she could do.

Cael turned as Cain's quite but firm voice spoke over the squabbling of her herd. Any other time she would have felt embarrassment for their foal-ish actions but now she could care less. Form this moment on, she was no longer their leader and she had resigned herself to that fact. Stepping away from the group toward the stallions, Cael raised her head; her face holding no touch of emotion. With a single breath she exhaled all tension, allowing it to leave her body in a single breath. Golden eyes study the smug looks across the Bachelors' faces and in defiance replied with on of her own. Cain, however, was harder to read.
"There is no need for formal exchanges." Now the dark mare looked directly toward the pale colored stallion; only now silently laughing at the comical difference between him and his elites. "You already know my answer, Cain." She knew the others were starring, their tall and bulky statures towering over her. Even without the gift of empathy, she knew they were hungry for action; held at bay only by the calm silent force of their leaders words.
Cain. He was such a puzzle. Cael had herd rumors of how he had appeared out of no-where after Klaus' disappearance but little more was known about him. She would have to be careful with her words.
"So are we going to stand here all morning or are you expecting a celebration over your brilliant plan?"

Cain smiled slightly and nodded his head. "I do know your answer, but it does me no good to have you in front of witnesses if you do not say it aloud. I can feel your resignation, but I can't speak for you." He replied evenly, giving a slight shrug of his shoulders, as much as a horse could accomplish. "If we just whisked you away now, it could look like kidnapping, when in truth you volunteered. I want everyone to hear it, so there is no question." The pale Marwari stallion said, his voice authoritative but not louder than necessary. He looked at Cael intently, wary of what her captivity might be like, but eager for the opportunities it might lend them. His smile curved even more as she made her demand in the form of a question. "Once you have spoken your decision aloud to all of us, it will be done and we can return. I will inform you of your rights and liberties as we return to the Bachelors." Or lack of rights and liberties, but that was beside the point. There would be no question of the rules of her entrance into their herd.
"My elites will keep a careful eye on you so you don't do anything brash. Any notions of martyrdom should be eliminated from your mind." He added on, looking at her a bit more critically, finding that it wouldn't be hard to believe if she decided to do something so drastic.

A short laugh escaped the mares lips as she listened to Cain's words. The grin never left her face though and Cael slowly shook her head. "I see. " Had this been any other time, she would have ignored the stallion's words and continued on without hesitating. Still, she had already scolded Prime for such actions and every decision she made would be scrutinized even further by both sides.
Gold eyes glances toward Cain and Cael allowed her grin to widen even further. It was not a look of pleasure or one of even hate but more of defiance and pride. While she did find the stallion interesting, she did not fear him and she wanted to make sure he knew that full well. "You need not worry about me, " her last word was left hanging. She could have called him countless names but leaving that up to his imagination felt better. Her momentary pause gave her the time to half turn back toward her herd, though she kept her words low enough to stay between them. "I have no fear of death but I also have no desire to let your job be so easy."
Cael took a couple steps forward, head risen proudly as she addresses these horses, her family, one last time. "From today forward you will stand together without me. Your decisions are yours, and yours alone." She had never been good at speaking in these ways which had made leadership all the harder to accept, what felt like, so long ago. But nothing could have prepared her for how much she began to cherish these horses. Only time would tell where the winds led them. "I am accepting Cains offer: my freedom in exchange for yours. What you do with that freedom is up to you but remember you are all Exiles." With that, the dark mare turned back toward Cain and the other stallions, satisfaction filling her chest. This would be the start of a new journey.
"Sappy enough for you?" her final words to the pale leader as she smoothly walked past him.

Apollo
Death glares and jabs were exchanged in between Prime and Cael, the appaloosa had no form of respect for her leader. She should be grateful, that stupid brood. His pupils went small as he realized the fiery mare accepted Cain's offer while Apollo was distracted with the little inexperienced mare. Apollo watched as the mare walked up past Cain and next to the elites, Now at least Cael had dignity to take the offer up with pride. The palomino bobbed his head slightly directed at the mare, "Welcome to the herd m'lady", his voice was oddly warm and welcoming. Apollo has always been kind towards mares, even in the herd he'd respect the broodmares whether they're ladies or slaves. Tension hung in the air for a short period until eyes finally dropped in sadness, it was a bit harsh to see this go down. But if it meant safety for our herd, for Dante and Kaira.. he shook his head as his attention slowly drifted towards Cael once again. "I'll try my best to treat you with respect, of course to the extent that I can. Don't worry, it's not that bad.." Apollo said under his breath, leaning down slightly so only Cael could understand what he said. The stallion said it quickly, not meant to disrespect his leader or betray the small Marawari in any way possible but to offer a bit of comfort for the mare. If she was tense, who knows what the resigned leader could attempt...
<// Welcome, Cael, to the Bachelors!~>

[Ghost]
The silver stallion snorted loudly as the mare gave her speech to the Exiles, proclaiming her leave as leader. Good. Things were going according to Cain's plan, and at the moment that was all that mattered to the appaloosa. Glancing among the faces of the Exiles, he took note of the vast difference of expressions. Anger, pain, fear, Ghost found it all amusing. Even more amusing was the knowledge that with this simple act, they had plummeted the entirety of the Exiles into chaos, which would most likely lead to dissension among the herd. It was glorious. Cain may not be the most trustworthy horse in the old elite's book, but he definitely was one of the most strategically cunning horses he'd ever met, and that was something Ghost greatly admired.
Turning his attention back to their new captive and his herd-mates, the shire cross pinned his ears against his neck, straining to hear the whispered words that drifted from the golden stallion standing beside him. Though he couldn't quite make out what was being said, What little he caught was concerning... Who did Apollo think she was? Some new underage brood who needed to be re-assured before becoming fully assimilated to the herd's way of life? Cael was a brood, and a leader. She knew the truth of what she was getting into when she accepted Cain's terms, and she certainly didn't need one of the Bachelor elites coddling her like some guest of honor. No, she was their prisoner, a bargaining chip to be used at a later time, and that was all there was to it. "Apollo..." Ghost glared at the mustang stallion as he spoke, shaking his head slightly. He hoped the younger Elite would stop before he said something Cain would make him regret.

Prophet | Exile High Guard Stallion
The stomach of the lean stallion twisted in uncomfortable ways, seeing the once beloved Exile mare seal her own fate against everything they stood for. His words simply went unheard, settling like untouched snow. Prophet knew then, nothing would be the same. Poisonous words flung through the air around him, but he didn't care. The blood pounding in his sensitive ears was too loud for him to focus on anything but controlling his rising blood pressure. Cael's words accompanied by her exit, pulled out the resentment from his seams, threatening to pop at any second.
"You are not who I thought you were." spat sharply from his lips. Perhaps he was being rash. Cael wouldn't hear him, anyway. She was already beginning to be drowned in what she preached everything against. It was of no matter. Prophet felt he'd been utterly lied to again, topped with a hard kick in the face. A -real- Exile would have gone down fighting, right? Gears switched in Prophet's mind- Stormcry wasn't here to calm him. The stallion twisted around on a heel. It didn't even occur to him yet that Kanu was still present, as the electric anger burned into the soles of his hard hooves. His sharp head swung to the side, over his shoulder.
"Let's gather the Exiles and head North."

Prime | Exile High Guard Mare
We are but what about you...? Where is the mare I thought I knew? The flame that I saw burning in the night... I believed in you, I followed you.. Prime lifted her head high, though her mind urged to do otherwise the mare looked at Cael, her ire turning into a painful sting in her heart to hear the mare's words. Sappy enough..? No Cael don't just bash of us like that. As if they never meant anything for the mare, that wasn't true. It was just to please that SNAKE! Cael couldn't afford to be seen as weak before them, something her own previous actions might have added on to. Her ears flattened against her nape. Curse you, all of you.. She turned her head as she heard Prophet's disagreeing voice though it was barely audible. So she wasn't the only one to clearly be against this, to be deeply disappointed by their leader... You are giving them what they want..Kanu's words repeated in her mind, so they wanted them to loath Cael for this? When it truth the one to blame was no other than Cain? Unlike these equines she wasn't in the belief that emotions was a weakness any more than she thought Cain was a righteous one. A zero. Kanu had wanted her, asked for her to show that they were united, well if she even could see someone she now deemed a traitor as part of this herd. There was no boundary for their unity. The Bachelors would not ruin that so easily. For as she said many times, it wasn't within her to stand back and not act against something she believed in.
So maybe it wasn't too late, perhaps she could still do something for the mare. Despite the looks she might get for it, Prime took a stride to come up before the fiery mare, ignoring the other leader as well as his wall of muscles, the only one she sought to reach was Cael. Perhaps it was due to surprise or maybe the anticipation to get an excuse to bite her that she was able to push thru. No she did not agree and in truth she would hold a spite for this thru everything but- No matter this act, Cael had done great deeds for her. She had given her so much.. She hadn't been just a leader but an idol for the appaloosa, perhaps it was due to the way she had joined the exiles to begin with but to her Cael had taken over the place of being a guide to form her. Prime kept the mare's glare for a long while before she lowered her head, her muzzle pressing against the dark coat of Cael's chest. "Always.." She whispered softly and touched the emblem on her bangle, no matter what came from this.. She didn't want to see off her leader like this, for even as a spite grew like a torn in her side, her rooted love for her was much stronger. As she raised her head she was this time prepared to meet the looks in a genuine prideful stand, her spirit was far from broken in fact if anything she seemed to have grown much by this. I will come for you! She would give the elite addressed as Apollo by the elder better looking one, a mocking glare before she backed up to Kanu's side once more. Holding her head as well as tail high, for there was one thing she could agree on anytime, they were exiles and they would always survive.

Apollo
The mustang chuckled at Prime, and returned the mocking glare with a hoof stomp. 'Treat any one of us with disrespect once more and we'll be personally digging your grave. Idiotic mare.' An amusing expression spread across his face, as he spoke through his eyes. He nodded at the older stallion, "You don't know what a tense mare can cause or attempt. Ease her and once she gets back, well she'll judge for herself. Right?" Apollo gestured at the peak of the hill they've come from, "She'll make our job even harder if tense. Just her fiery nature will be a bit of a change from our some-what submissive mares." Brows raised as the little mare stood by the co-leader, well leader now since he was the next in line for the throne as he was the highest ranking horse beneath the now resigned leader. "Although my actions were a bit stupid due to the high risk of punishment" He tossed his head up, watching the vulnerable Exiles plan to head north.. Vasska would surely reject the unfortunate horses, he only cared for the well being of the Olde herd. Vasska is or at least from what Apollo has heard from, a bit full of himself portraying himself as unicorn-like.. Pah, Vasska a unicorn? Yea right.

Ryder | Exile Scout
Ryder sighed quietly, taking a few steps back into the herd as Cael turned to address them. His ears flattened as she resigned her position as leader. Surely, Cain was making her do this. She was going to come back, right? His mind raced for a moment though he let his face remain expressionless. His eyes glanced around at the devastated faces of his herdmates. None of them had expected this, and it was truly a surprise. Ryder gave the fiery maned mare a final nod as Prime rushed over to the Bachelor captive. There was a quick exchange of words that he failed to hear, but it seemed the Prime had at least forgiven Cael enough to give her some final words of strength. 'Good because Cael is going to need all the strength she can get,' he thought as he glanced around the herd in search of his mate. Effie was going to be furious. His blue eyes went back to the fleeting figure of his leader one last time as the brutes surrounded her. Things would definitely be getting harder from here on out.
His ears swiveled in Prophet's direction as he gave instructions. The brown paint nodded, agreeing silently. Maybe if they headed north, they'd get a chance to talk to Vasska to hear if he had another offer for them. It had to be better than this.

[KANU]
This whole situation was surreal to Kanu, nothing this drastic had happened in his life- not even his father's death matched the extent of turmoil he was feeling right now. They were different emotions he was feeling from that dreadful time in his life when he found his father's body mangled upon the ground. He was feeling estranged from the regular reality he lived. He couldn't even grasp the emotion that roiled inside his stomach and made a foul taste spread itself over his tongue. He turned his head away from the scene for a minute, gathering himself before he returned to the herd after Prime. He understood where she was coming from, and apart of him admired her strength and courage to stand up for what she believed in- but she needed to grab a hold of herself. Cael was already under so much pressure, she didn't need to leave, her last view of the Exiles as an eruption of tense emotion and angered horses. They needed to prove to Cael that they'd be fine- even though she knew it. She wouldn't have agreed if she didn't think they could handle themselves.
He returned to where he was sitting, but he chose to stand closer to Cael this time. It wasn't an obvious change in position, but the few steps had made a big difference for him. As he watched Prime approach Cael, no sign of nervousness in her posture or blunt expression, Kanu was about to stop her, worried she was going to do something irrational. But, to his surprise, she merely pressed her forehead against Cael's chest, muttering something inaudible to him. He sighed, moving closer once again. Once Prime was standing next to him again, Kanu tilted his head toward her, giving her a half-hearted smile. "I must admire your courage, Prime." He said, returning his gaze toward Cael. He looked her right in the eye, his ears pricked forward and his tail held high. His expression was purely reassuring, his icy eyes holding a hopeful spark amongst them. "Cael." He said as a goodbye, nodding at her with utter respect and approval of her choice. Truth was, he too was obviously on the fence about whether or not her decision was astute or not, but he wouldn't erupt right in front of those holding her captive, he would wait until they were gone. He didn't want to show them that he was bothered by this. They couldn't have that satisfaction. As Cain forced Cael to bid her herd farewell, a heat rose up inside Kanu's chest. He couldn't stand to see her to exposed, so puny compared to the Bachelor elites that held her in her own prison. He gritted his teeth, his eyebrows twitching into a slight frown. But, his posture remained the same, and he held his head high. Now was the time to show them- to show them how strong they were, how much they could endure. And he was 100% ready to help his family do so.

Cain watched with his intent gaze as Cael made her final words to her now former herd, his ears perked forward, though his eyes remained heavily lidded with his disdain. Her herd members seemed willing to forgive her, which was seemingly a blessing for her, and it was almost heart-warming to watch many of them struggle to separate from her, looking at her as if this was their last meeting. Perhaps it would be, only time would tell how best she would be used. "Yes, it was perfectly sappy. Thank you." Cain replied emotionlessly as she finally slipped past him, towards his Elites, where she made her way towards Apollo and Ghost. He observed the Exiles for a moment longer, one ear focused on them, the other straining to listen to what discussions were occurring behind them with the new captive. They would endure, that was clear. But it would be a struggle, and he would hope that they would be on a more even playing field now.
He turned away from the Exiles and started moving toward the mass of the Bachelors over the rise and beyond, looking like a small multicolored puddle in a sea of green, yellow, and white. A silent sigh escaped him as he started leading the way back, before he glanced back over his shoulder at Cael. "There's your new herd, though until you are trustworthy, you will be kept from them day and night by at least one of your helpful guards here." Cain explained, as he pointed his nose off towards the crowd far off in the distance. "Fraternizing with any of the other horses in the herd aside from those you see here is forbidden until further notice. I have no desire to cause you harm, though I do not fear it if that is what is necessary to keep you from causing chaos in the order of the herd." He explained, keeping his face and voice neutral. "Questions you have are better asked now rather than later, when you are expected to know better."
OOC:// This rp will be saved for Bachelors and the two leaders from here on out - though Exiles you do have an event to sign up for if you wish the continue the storyline there! C:
