Sinclair listened carefully trying to detect the lies in his words, she could find none, but that didn't mean she was ready to run at a moments notice. "Alright then, let's go." She began picking her way delicately up the bank and back into the open field. She made a quick look around, watching for any stallions coming to catch her, but was glad to see none. She started to follow him back to where she'd hidden, and the forest from which he had appeared. As they neared the spot she began to glance around, heart picking up a beat she noticed some bloodied grass and where hoof marks lay. She shivered with the so recent memory.

[ Ryder ]
As they walked back, Ryder glanced back at the Bachelor mare every now and again to make sure she was still following. He had a feeling that her name wasn't actually what she had told him, but that was all he had for now. The pile of herbs was where he had placed them, and he picked up one of the green leaves, biting it in half so the juice seeped out of it. "This might sting a little, but it'll keep your wounds from becoming infected," he said as he placed the leaf of the mare's neck. The juice came out onto the bite marks, and Ryder made sure to place some on each puncture.

"Alright." She waited for the sting to come, it wasn't much, barely a feeling. "So Ryder," she asked, "You always just run in like a knight in shining armor." She didn't look at him, should he find any lies in her eyes. Eyes were windows to the soul actually, all he had to do was look. Even now he couldn't seem to decide whether what she's said so far is true.
She looked down at the almost clear green gel-like substance coating her wounds, she'd used aloe before, for sure. Colts sometimes got it after their marking should they have been faring badly. She looked at the stallion again, hardly any scars she could see, a feat since the Eastern Isle wasn't too kind to its visitors. "What did you think of your captain's decision to stay here? Or are you all planning and escape to Olde right now?"

Ryder looked up at her face as he coated her wounds in the aloe's liquid. He chuckled around the leaf before answering. "Well some would say I've got a bit of a hero's complex, but I think I just like to help those in need," he said, putting the leaf down once he was satisfied with his work. The Exile scout wasn't quite sure what to think about this horse. She was obviously hiding something from him. He supposed that the broodmares had to hide things from others though to keep themselves from being hurt.
His ears flicked in her direction at her question, shaking his head slightly. "I respect his why he made the decision he did, but it wasn't a good idea to deal the Bachelors without the rest of the herd being informed. I know he couldn't wait, but.... I suppose it's hard to get a perfect, happy ending. As for Olde, the might have plenty of places to hide, but I'm not too sure about there either," he said, frowning in thought. "What about you? What do you think of the Exiles spending time here?" He asked, trying to look the mare in the eyes.

Sinclair was going to say how they dragged down the bachelors, but she stopped. No need to criticize the stallion that had just save her's herd. I mean really. Sinclair pricked her ears, "Jealous a bit, mainly I'm neutral." Sinclair had always felt a deep deep envy of the herd, actually mares in any herd. They were free, they were happy, but no one, no one seemed to care how the bachelor mares were treated, they stayed away and turned a blind eye.

His blue eyes watched her carefully. "Jealous?" He asked. The Exiles had had their home ripped out from under them. Jealous wasn't exactly a word her had heard yet about their situation. Maybe this Bachelor mare meant the way the Exile mares were treated as equals and not possessions. Ryder couldn't imagine how hard it must be to be a mare amongst those monsters. If it was anything like what his father had done to his mother, it was something he couldn't stand. He hated when others were belittled and looked down upon.

Sinclair didn't wish to elaborate. She just shut her mouth and began to walk away, head sagging. "Another time." She looked in the direction of the Outland Marsh, memories ripping through her heart, she turned around, a sudden rage over coming her and stormed up to the stallion, whispering a warning into his ear, "I've been thrown around, beaten, had my heart broken by anyone I love, and am looked upon as nothing more than a servant. I want nothing to do with stallions any more, Be gone!" She turned around swiftly, blinking away tears threatening to stream down her face and began to gallop, back to the herd, back tot he broodmare herd, horses that would understand her.

The brown paint opened his mouth to speak as she started towards him with a threatening glare. Her eyes flashed with rage and sadness, and as she turned to gallop back towards her own herd, Ryder finally spoke. His ears flattened slightly. "I'm sorry. I truly am. I hope you find what you're looking for, Cinderella. I hope you find your Prince Charming," he said quietly as he made his way to his own herd. Ryder gathered up his herbs, placing them all back in the large leaf he had placed them in to carry them. Everyone was going through so much turmoil and pain, and he wanted nothing more than to stop it. Stop all of it. Why couldn't others settled their differences without bringing everyone down with them?

Sinclair gently touched her muzzle to some of the broodmares in greeting, Elowen, Moira, Adina, and Cholena. Then she stepped away to the outskirts of the small group and curled her legs under her. "I'm sorry too." She nodded her head, pain still in her eyes. She wished nothing but to go back and tell those words to Ryder, but everything was said and done. She let her head droop and ears hang before slowly closing long lashed eyes and falling to sleep, to dreams, to memories. God, how she hated the nights.
