And then it all changed. So this role play is a vital part of Carlita's background. The roleplay will be set in the Silver Woods in the evening after Carlita and Akila are attacked by the pack of savage city cougars. At this point Dalila is already dead and has been for about twenty minutes and the city cougars have mysteriously vanished.
Screaming. That's the first thing Carlita herd when she become half conscious again. Pitiful wails and screams. Begging whatever gods there were to give her back. Give who back? The strained voice that reached her ears was familiar but she couldn't think properly with the pain her entire felt. Such pitiful screams. Carlita almost wanted to tell the voice to shut up and let her sleep but she couldn't. Finally her mind recognized the voice. Akila. But why was she crying? Carlita tried to turn her head towards the screams of her younger sister but only moved an inch. Blood rushed out from reopened wounds, painting the already bloody ground with fresh color. The brown mare opened her eyes with better success. She flinched at first, the bright silver of the glowing trees shining painfully into her sensitive eyes. After a few moments of almost lifelessness, Carlita attempted to open her eyes again, this time keeping them open to adjust to the light. The sight that greeted her would be what would follow her for the rest of her life.
Akila hunched over Dalila who was torn open, missing a art of her throat and bleeding from various wounds around her body. Akila was covered in blood that was not her own.
"Oh god. Oh god. Please. Please don't let this be real. PLEASE." Akila chanted over and over, pleading to the gods. They would not answer her prayers. After listening to her younger sister beg the gods for what seemed like hours, Carlita attempted to stand and failed miserably. Her hind legs buckled under her weight and slumped onto the ground, now unresponsive. Carlita, in a fit of desperation to reach her sister (sisters), dragged herself to the pair. Carlita left a bloody trail in her wake as she struggled to move.
Reaching her younger sister, Carlita laid her head on Akila's back gently. And that's how they were found. The eldest dead, the middle gently laying again the youngest who was hanging over the eldest.

It had been a dull afternoon, his patrol had been without any incidents and now the cold air swirled around his mane. It was only a few hours till dawn and Arturo had finished his service for today, he had turned 20 this summer and was allowed on his first tours all by himself. In the morning he did have an intense training session with his mentor Guntram and his muscle ached from the endeavor. Slight fog was forming close to the little rivers as Arturo walked slowly through the silver wood. He wanted to visit the praying pool, connecting with the unicorns and blessing his few friends, his lost family and the well being of the herd.
As he walked down a small path, the lunar ravens where cawing and babbling in their twisted tounge, one threw a pine cone down, almost hitting Arturo on the head. As he looked up angrily, they just laughed at him, bopping their heads, jumping from one branch to another. But suddenly he heard faint noises... screams! He peaked his ears and listened carefully, but the ravens where still trying to mess with him, so he jumped into a gallop and followed the voices.
As soon as he left the flock of ravens and their noises he could hear the screams of two equines and he pushed himself into a harder gallop. What was going on over there? His hooves where pounding into the ground, his breath coming hard with every stride he took. When he arrived at the scenery he slided into a halt and gaped at the image that offered in front of him. Bloody. Horrific. Despaired. He was shocked, what had happened to the poor foals. His sane mind hadn't lost him, he looked around for the responsible creature for this tragedy. As he couldn't make out any presence he slowly approached the foals with their lifeless friend. He recognized them as two fillies, one white and brown was without doubt an Olde filly, he had seen her before, her remarkable coloring made her stand out quite a bit. "Girls, girls... oh unicorns forgive me, what has happened here?" He mustered the two fillies that where lying on the corpse on the other youngling that seemed to be the eldest. He prodded the white and brown colored filly on her hindquarters gently, she seemed to be injured as well. The little one had only enough strength to sob and to babble incognizable words.
He kneeled down on his fore legs towards the two fillys, comforting the little one. "I am here, I will help you. Tell me what happened." He was so overwhelmed by the grotesque situation. The dead filly showed signs of a cougar attack, ripped apart furiously, already stiffening and cold. The two survivors ragged and exhausted by the chain of events.

As the air become colder and the sun retreating further into the night Carlita and Akila still lay with their dead sister. Akila had long since ran out of tears to weep but she continued to wail, her young mind destroyed. Akila had begged Carlita to save her, to save Dalila but it was all for naught. Carlita had never gone to deep into her training to be a healer, and now she regretted it more than ever. As she lay there, almost lifelessly next to her two sisters, Carlita's ears perked at a sound off in the distance. It sounded like... hooves? Oh thank the unicorns! It was a horse!
Lifting her head slightly, Carlita scanned the horizon for the approaching horse. Off in the distance she could see a brown mass galloping towards them. The horse was blurred but as it approached the horse became clearer. Carlita recognized the horse as one of the knights for the herd. As the stallion's eyes surveyed the scene he abruptly halted and gaped as he looked Carlita and her sisters. After making sure the creatures were no where to be found, he approached the sisters. Carlita heard the stallion speak but couldn't make out his words. He lowered his head and gently nuzzled Carlita's hindquarters. Carlita , in response, whimpered slightly. Her legs were in so much pain that even the slightest movement sent fire up her spine. Then the stallion kneeled down and comforted Akila, who was unresponsive to the stallion's attempts.
The stallion asked what happened as he tried to calm Akila down but his attempts were unheeded as she continued to cry tearless. Carlita moved her head slightly, looking in the stallion's eyes. "City...cougars." She muttered, breathless. Even the task of speaking was exhausting. Closing her eyes, Carlita drifted off into a painful slumber listening to her sister's cries and the stallion's deep voice.

As Arturo kneeled next to the fillies, his thoughts where running circles. What should he do now, there were so exhausted they could probably barely walk and certainly the cougars would come back in the night to dine on their prey. He had to get the two into safety. As the sun was slowly moving towards the horizon, weird light beamed through the silver wood. The blue and silver light of the trees mixed with the orange and pink light of the bright sundown, fog was blurring everything and with the fog, the cold crept closer as well. If the fillies wouldn't die by another cougar attack, they would certainly freeze to death, at least the really young filly.
As the elder filly answered, he nodded with an understanding expression. Closing his eyes he sighed. "I will help the two of you, but you have to get up. The cougars will come back soon and we have to get away from this place and search for shelter." He watched the younglings, studied their reactions, but they barely reacted at all. The little one made some protesting noises and it seemed like she didn't wanted to leave. She was weak but would be able to walk, she could be barely older than tree of four. The elder one was injured, so he could only hope to move the two to a safe shelter. Arturo nuzzled the little one again, "Get up little one, we have to get out here." when she didn't move, Arturo peeled her off the corpse gently with his nose, moving her away. In between he pushed the white and brown filly to move her to get up. "I know you are exhausted and desperate, but you have to move, please. Get up. Was she your sister? Move now, otherwise your sister died for you for naught." Arturo had no other chance than to be serious about the matter, the fillies had to get up and moving.

Akila remanded weeping for Dalila, either ignoring the brown stallion or simply not hearing him. Once Carlita regained some strength, she turned her head to the stallion, voice quivering and laced with exhaustion, "You may...have to carr-....carry her." Neither of the sisters were fit to move but they had to. The city cougars would be back to finish what they started and claim their meals. Though the promise of shelter was very appealing. As Carlita thought of finally being safe again she suddenly remembered her parents. What would she tell them when they saw Akila completely covered in blood and looks like she had been crying for months on end? What would they say when they noticed when they realized Dalila was not with them. By now, she should have been home hours ago. But those thoughts would have to wait. They needed to leave, treat their wounds then face the consequences.
Lifting her head from Akila's back, Carlita slowly pushed her back legs underneath her body once more. With great effort she raised herself into an almost standing position, legs spread out and hunched over. The two toned mare's legs shook from the effort of just trying to remain standing. After a few moments, Carlita drew her legs in closer to her body, standing almost correctly. This would have to do. Just the action of standing correctly was exhausting.
Gently, Carlita nuged Akila, prodding her side gently, "Come on Akila. We have.....to move."
Akila, in turn, ignored her elder sister's request and pushed herself more onto Dalila, muttering 'I won't leave you' very quietly. Carlita nudged her again with the same response. The brown stallion nudged Akila this time, urging her to move. When Akila made no movement the brown stallion nudged her away from Dalila's body gently. When the stallion finally removed the young filly from the eldest sister, she almost immediately went back to the body if it wasn't for the brown stallion keeping his nose pressed against her flank.
When the stallion spoke, however, it breathed life back into Akila, if only for a moment. Spinning around to face him, eyes scrunched in anger and ears pulled back, she screamed at the stallion," Yes she was my sister! And she wouldn't even be dead if you had been doing you job!"
Next Akila turned to Carlita, who was still hunched over but stunned by Akila's out burst. She had never raised her voice in such a way.
"And you! YOU! She would still be here if you did YOUR JOB! If you just did what you were supposed to you could have healed her!" Akila screamed as more tears ran down her face. Carlita lowered her head and for the first time since she could remember, cried.

Arturo let the little filly go and stared at her speechless at first, had he heard right? And then she screamed at her elder and injured sister. Arturo didn't believe his ears, that little brat! Barely walking and now accusing her elder sister like that? Who had raised that little thing with such little respect. He furrowed his brows and puffed up his chest. "Enough!" He yelled and grabbed the little filly at the neck, as gently as it was possible and dragged her from her dead sisters body.
He would not end up getting eaten by some cougar tonight! They were in tragic circumstances but he would not be yelled at by a filly that was so young and small. They had to get out of here or they all were forsaken. Once he had dragged her far away enough, he pushed her up on her four legs and nudged her forward. "Move now!" He said angrily and watched the older one, if she was able to stand up and went over to her, steadying her with his head to get up. "Stop crying now. We have to move. Make it clear to your younger sister and don't let yourself pushed around by a little foal. You have to be the eldest sister now, you have to be brave for her. Show her that you can protect her, it's not your fault, the two of you are way too young to handle such an attack, yet healing such mad wounds. How old are you? 9, 10?" Arturo tried to be gentle to the white and brown colored filly, she shouldn't take all the blame on her.
Oh why hadn't he walked back earlier, it hadn't even been his area to protect, the chances that he would have come to aid them where far beyond zero. Their sister was dead for many hours now, he hadn't been even close. "We are not going far, we won't make it back to the herd with the two of you. We'll find shelter some where and we wait till the first sunlight touches the ground again." This was a farce, where should he move those two? Where could they hide? He thought desperately, as he steadied the elder sister and once in a while pushed the little one forward to do some little steps. They where so slow! "What's your and your sisters name?" Arturo asked the older filly finally. While he waited for a response he finally remembered a safe place at the border of the silver forest, they just had to head north.

Both of the sisters flinched as the brown stallion yelled. Akila flinched and went limp as she was grabbed and dragged away from Dalila's corpse. The stallion then nudged her forward, yelling at her again to move. With a black expression on her face, Akila started to walk forward slowly as if in a trance. The brown stallion then turned to Carlita and helped steady her with his head pressed to her flank. The two toned mare nodded her head slightly in agreement with the stallion. They needed to move and fast. Carlita lifted her head to speak to Akila but conceited that she had already begun walking in the direction the brown stallion had nudged her.
"Um... yeah. I'm ten." Carlita spoke with a strained voice. "I'm Carlita and thats Akila." Carlita gestured to the younger foal.
Carlita turned her gaze to the corpse on the ground. "And that's Dalila. Or was."

As they made their way through the wood slowly, Arturo's muscles where tense the whole way, he had a bad feeling about this and the little girls where only slowly moving forward. "I am very sorry for your loss girls." He said emotionless, he knew the feeling well, loosing someone in this early age, words from strangers would not help, so he kept his mouth shut. "I'm Arturo by the way" he whispered as he suddenly heard a noise, rustling, sneaky sounds. All his senses flipped to alert mode, he ripped up his head and looked into every direction, his ears nervously playing around. Something was here.... He flared his nostrils and breathed in the scents around him but he couldn't make out a thread anywhere, but something was up.
A loud "CHAAAAAAWWWW!!!" echoed through the forest right above their head and several voices added to it, nuts and sticks were coming from the tree tops and the lunar ravens where guffawing on their tree branches, bopping their heads, grabbing stuff that grew next to them to let them come down on the three equines. Arturo angrily glared up to the birds and stepped closer to the foals to some what protect them from the flock of stupidity that was sitting in between the leaves. His heartbeat slowed and his breathing came more relaxed, yet he was still tense. This was straining his nerves, but he kept on steadying the foals, moving them towards the end of the forest. As the reached Arturo's hide out, he walked into the crystal clear stream and waited for the fillies to follow him, he would help them getting in and getting out again and some blood washed off their bodies and faces, he allowed himself a little sip of the water before they went into the mesh of tightly grown bushes. There was a little hole to slip in, Arturo remembered it well, he had been only a little bit older than them, when he visited this place with his father. For the small foals it was easy to go through, but grown horses had to be very careful to slip in. Somehow he made it without major scratches, once they where inside the bushes, they had scarce room, Arturo could turn around barely without stepping on one of the fillies. He nudged the bushed together to close their natural door and he lay down on the soft ground that was patched with moss and dry leaves. He was exhausted as well and was happy to rest for a while, as it had already grown dark outside, inside their bush hideout it was pretty dark. Carlita's white fur was shining a little bit with the scarce light that went through the tight branches. "Come to me girls, we should sleep close together so you won't get cold tonight. Tomorrow I'll bring you back home. Would you like to pray for your sister Dalila to the unicorns? We should bit them to protect her in their realm and wish her a good journey." Arturo watched the fillies as he spoke to them.
