Kanu | Exile Captain
'Take the time to figure out your friends, family, neighbors and anyone else who you may come across in the future. They will be a great asset to your life, and taking the time to examine their ways, their stories and their pasts, will bring you to finally find your essence of love, life and a strong belief that no one can shake or tear down.' Kanu recited his father's words, each syllable spoken to a tee, his father's voice clear in his mind. He lifted his pale face to the sky, the weightless clouds floating peacefully across the baby blue sky. Everything was pristine, the wind was gentle and weaving through Kanu's thick mane, the lush grass beneath his hooves was soft and inviting and the distant sound of the ocean soothed his nerves to the point of almost relaxation- as much as he could be. He had been frantically running around trying to calm the horses that decided it was now a good time to try and swim home, or to try and start a rebellion- which Kanu didn't find odd, especially for the Exiles.
He flickered his ears back and forth, listening in for anything that sounded out of the ordinary. At the moment there was just silence, no one was around, or at least he couldn't see anyone. He didn't usually keep to himself- that wasn't acceptable due to him being a Captain- but right now he just needed a breather. His job always consisted of horses swarming him with stressed remarks and jobs for him to do. Of course right now he'd be exaggerating, but he was exhausted and his mind wasn't walking straight. He turned around, seeing a lone brown stallion nearby. He knew this horse to be named Eyrin. Kanu decided that the company of one- if Eyrin chose to take it- wouldn't be too bad.
He slowly begun progressing toward the stallion, his ears pricked forward and his eyes holding a friendly spark. He was wondering why Eyrin wasn't with the other Exiles, it was odd to see someone by their lonesome these days.
