Two mutes just so happen to meet each other. When they relise they have a common misfortune will it bring them together as friends and allies, or throw them into battle because one was by choice and one is by force.Starting post: Rae solemnly traveled across the barren fields. Her mind was empty, much like these lands she'd stumbled upon after somehow finding a way out of the forbidden forest. She had been so lonely the past few days, after arriving here. A series of unfortunate events had forced her off of the bachelor lands, where she wished to be right now. The only thing she cared about was there, Ace. He was the first horse to ever, truly love her. He was kind and passionate. They had been seperated when his fellow guards found him and she'd had to return to her true home, the exile lands. But she'd volunteered to be a trade to the bachelors. Once there Ace had claimed her, only for her to somehow end up escaping, not by her own choice. But that was behind her now, and she was completely lost. All she had wanted to do was be there, with him.
Anger welled up in her heart, as usual. Why must she be here? Why was she given the horrid life? Out of frustration she leaped into a gallop, running and kicking out all her energy. She closed her eyes and collapsed onto the grass. Panting and crying. How pathetic she was.

Eoos was out doing a errand for his friend Alabaster. More gathering herbs and plants for the stock. Afte all the healers were going to need every bit of it. It gave him enough exercise too while he was at it. He only ventured far off to the edge of the forbidden woods. Not daring to go in there since predators were on the prowl for a mule that couldn't call for help.
However something caught his eye looking down. Horse tracks? Out here? he thought. No one's been out here for a while now. By far he was the only one within this region. He sniffed it before his lips curled. Yep definitely a horse. Not any in his own herd either. An outsider? HE took precaution as he followed the tracks with his nose low to the ground. He was a bloodhound on hooves. thought he made sure not to end up on someone's behind like last time keeping his eyes up too. His bells jingled with each step he took. The bells were made to alert other olde members to know where he was at all times, however he was too far to have anyone else hear him from the herd.

Rae heard the bells instantly. She determined that they were coming from something that was about...10 feet away. She sprung to her hooves, long black mane billowing. She spotted the other creature easily. He was tall and a charcol black color. Actually, he resembled Ace. Tall, big ears, dark coloered, and a short spikey mane. Other then that they apeared opposites. This creature had almost no scars, except for one that was large around his neck where it met his head. His muzzle and around his eyes were a dusty color, and his eyes were mustard colored rather then Ace's melted chocolate.
She lowered her neck and turned her ears back, as to show she was no threat. Although she did this, she was ready to fight if she had too. She had killed before, although she never remembered it until it was done. The last time her cool had broken she'd woken up from her black out whilst licking the blood of her victim whom she had crushed the skull of.

The mule's nose lead him right up to the source of the smell. To which he looked up to find...a mare. strange..he's never seen this mare before. He lifted up his head to look at her. A clear view of his scar could be seen as he tilted his head at her. She looked like she had been crying for hours. Was she sad? She was no threat though seemed surprised by his presence. He could clear that up. He greeted her with a wriggle of his ears and a smile. Showing her that he was happy to see her..and that he wasn't a threat. He stomped both of his feet making his bells ring. But she still looked worried. He looked around for something nice...oh..a bluebell flower! He leaned down to pluck it and presented it to her.

She formed a week smile, gently taking the flower and tucking it behind her ear. She nodded her thanks, and nickered at him. She giggled as the bells rang, like a joyfull song bird. She looked around and spotted a lush patch of grass. She motioned toward it with a jerk of her head. She made her way toward it and lowered it, and began grazing. The tears began to dry but she knew it wouldnt be long until they started again.

Eoos smirked clanking his teeth back at her. Softly snorting his feet jingled with his movement. Looks like it did the trick. Where did she come from? HOw did she get here? Well no use for asking that. He followed her to the grass. No threats were detected by far. She must of been a loner or something. She was pretty though. He circled around her sniffing, getting used to her scent. Eoos then tried to get a name out of her. He rolled on the grass however to fix and itch as he wriggled scratching his back.

Rae watched him closely as he circled her. She felt comfortable for now, he seemed kind enough. Much kinder then those jerks in the bachelor herd. Except for Ace, they all seemed like numb, emotionless horses. When the mule finished scratching his back, she motioned to his scar, curious about it. Her vocal cords were strained still from shouting for her love. That was the first word she'd spoken since she was a filly and she promised herself she would never say another. It hurt too much, anyway. Her cords were like dusty violin strings, untuned, and unmanaged for the last 15 years.

Eoos snorted finishing his scratching on the back as he flipped over. Huh..she hasn't said anything so far. Was she shy or mute? When she motioned to his neck his ears folded back for a second. Hope she understood this. HE got to his feet before looking for a dirt patch in the grass. His bells jingled as he did so. Finding one he took his hoof raising it up to only smack it down on the soft mud and dragged it to make a line. He did it again to make another. The complete picture formed a big X mark. X in his language meant Bachelors. His voice was crushed...long gone..not even the magic of the elders with their healing abilities could save it.

Rae watched the mule scratch something into the dirt, an X. She associated the letter with the horses she knew as Bachelors. Now, this could either mean the Bachelors made the scar, or that...the X meant gone, or ruined. Such as his voice. His voice was ruined, and gone. Perhaps at the bachelors hand aswell? She took this as a conclusion and nundged him, feeling sorry for the fella. She motioned to herself, trying to tell him she was the same, mute.

hehehe I thought it was Rae XD;]]
After the mare nudged him, he blushed slightly. His ears perked back up as he returned a spunky positive face. He motioned her with his head. It didn't really matter now. He was just happy to be alive. He then started drawing up more symbols that resembled each herd. He was hoping ot know which one she was from. When finished he looked up at her. Maybe she didn't speak after all. Probably mute like himself.

Rae lifted her hoof and planted it on the exile symbol. She'd been apart of the misfit band ever since she was 16, and she was planning on staying. She and Ace had planned to live together on the Exile lands, great fire or not. She lifted her hoof and motioned the Olde symbol and then pointed at the Mule, asking if he was indeed part of the Olde herd.
(oops i get her and my other chatacter mixed up sometimes lemme go fix it haha)

Oh so she was an Exile! That was a relief. He would of panicked a bit if she came from the bachelors given conditions of what was happening now. He was always curious why there was a group like that..and how they came to be. But those questions were to be kept silent. He dug his hoof at the Olde symbol stating he was from the olde herd. Now that he knew she wasn't a threat..he shook his short mane jumping about around her wanting to play. Acting like a little colt again. He motioned his head as he darted off across the field waiting for her to catch up.

Rae watched as the tall mule took off into the distance. She whinnied after him and leaped into a gallop after him. Her tail flagged like an arabian and her stride lengthened like a thoroughbred. Her hooves beat the ground into submission as she easily caught up to the other mute. She let out a playful buck, hooves flying into the air. She laughed and sped up even more, her speed eating up the ground and sky. She leaped over a log that was easily 2 feet across. She hadn't had this much fun in years. She turned her head across her shoulder and glanced at the mule behind her who seemed to be having just as much fun as she was.

Wow she was fast! Nonetheless, she was a full bred of what half he was. His sturdy legs were meant for climbing over hard obstacles like rock and tough terrain. His hooves easily dug into the dirt but his unique body gave him the disadvantage of going faster than the mare. But Eoos was having a grand time! He haven't had time to play games ever since the war was brought up. It was an escape to not think about war at the moment. He caught up with her just tailing from behind.

Rae watched the mule catc up and halt next to her. She shot him a delicate smile, and began to graze. Her head shot up at the sound of growl. Grass beasts. Soon there were at least three around them, snarling and showing their sharp teeth. She too, showed her large teeth ready to rip the fur off their backs. One pounced towards her and she let out a powerfull buck, sending it flying, just before more of the retched dog like animals jumped toward them.
