Takes place before objective one
The setting sun was something that should always be cherished and viewed with awe. It was personally one of Zee's favorite times, along with the rising of the sun, the colors that it painted across the sky were simply breathtaking. She sat alone, well as alone as a bachelor mare could be, and watched the bright reds and golds float across bleached white clouds. It had been raining off and on all day turning her tail into an icky muddy mess. She sighed at the sight of it and attempted to flick the ends away from her but didn't accomplish much more than a wet thud. She would have to try cleaning it tomorrow, something she truly dredded. She pushed those thoughts out of her mind however and looked back to the darkening skies which were turning a dark shade of purple-red near the horizon.

Night was falling on all the horses in the herd, the sky darkening slowly from one horizon to the other, like so much ink was being spilled on the cosmos and it came to blanket them all. The stars twinkled to the East as Bat-Sheva carefully picked her way through her fellow herd members, trying to find a comfortable place to settle in. Most of the time, Sheva kept to herself and the other broods, trying to respect tradition and leaving the stallions to their own comings and goings, but she was feeling restless and none of the places near her friends seemed quite right. Frowning a bit, she continued, her brilliant red eyes glancing over those lying around.
Her gaze fell on a mare that was laying a bit further away, and arched a brow. Perhaps it was time to make a new friend, if to do nothing but stave off the boredom that came at night. The dreadful boredom that allowed one's mind to wander off to places it should never go. The well-muscled, spotted mare approached the other, directly into her line of sight. "What are you up to, so far away from the rest?" She asked, looking back toward the herd, towards their leader, who wouldn't much approve.

She had been so absorbed by the slowly changing colors of the sky she didn't notice the other horse approaching her, that was until they loomed over her view of the sky. Her eyes shifted to the mare slowly and with clear anger at being disturbed, She was tempted not to answer her question until she followed the mares gaze to their 'leader'. Zee took in a deep breath then let it escape in a great puff," I'm not sure they care."
Her eyes turned down to look at the slightly muddy grass and she lifted her heavy frame up to stand before this mare. From her previous angle the mare had been cast in shadow and hard to distinguish, but know she could see just who she was talking with and grew slightly ashamed for acting so brash. She looked to the older mare a bit more carefully and her sour expression lessened into one that could be described as blank. " Was there something you needed?"
