Greer nodded a your welcome to his thanks. "I have seen far too much bloodshed in my life. I couldn't stand to just pass you by, ye ken?" She asked, sitting up slightly so she could look at him. She'd discarded the bandages in a hole in a tree as a last minute resort, even though they wouldn't be much use until they were dried so she could wash them out in the stream. "Well Illucid, Ill be taking a sleep now, as I am weary from practically carrying you here." She retorted, and layed her head in the grass. She fell asleep within seconds.
Sun shone down through the tree's and onto the mares face. She was up quickly, not one for wasting time. She glanced at the still fast asleep stallion. His bleeding had stopped it appeared but he was week, and had run out of water. She refilled the tin and began her trek for food besides old bland grass. She stumbled across a blue berry bush, and some nuts. She also gathered a little bit of cherry bark and put it in her little supply sack. She made her way back to Illucid who, to no surprise, was still asleep like a log.
"Illucid, wake up." She said gently nudging him.

Illucid | Loner | Stallion

Illucid simply gave a nod, watching her hustle and bustle before she finally decided that she needed a rest. He couldn't have agreed more. He felt bad for having her drag him all over the place, but he'd never forget it and would always find a way to repay it. He wasn't very good with making friends or interacting with other horses, but he'd figure it out. He heaved a sigh, wincing at the pain it brought. These wounds were going to take awhile to heal, but he wasn't going to place their burden on her. He'd just sleep here for the night and then be on his way. It was the least he could do. Perhaps he'd even go off in search of new supplies for her. She had used quite a bit on him. At this point, he wasn't all that sure. Instead, he let himself lean against the tree, eyes closing as he drifted off to sleep. The young buckskin slept soundly throughout the night. He didn't dream, which was good for him. Normally his dreams were filled with nightmares and other things he didn't want to revisit. His body had needed the rest, and clearly it showed as he continued to sleep even after her waking up and returning. His ears flicked at the sound of her voice, and slowly his eyes blinked open. Dazed and still half asleep, he looked up at her. His mouth opened, and immediately he realized that he was parched. He made a note to find some water before heading out. " Hrm.. good morning, " he grumbled, legs unfolding out from underneath him. He felt sore from sleeping in the same position the entire night, and his wounds burned with the memory of yesterday. Illucid heaved a sigh and stumbled onto his feet, now able to hold his own weight, though just barely. " How long have I been out? " he asked.

Greer glared at him for being so hasty to leave. It wasnt often she had company, and she was growing bitter at the thought of it leaving her so soon. "Its around midday and we got here yesterday late afternoon so im guessing...seventeen hours? Listen you should really lay down your legs are shaking its not good to try and walk so soon you need rest now sit down, eat some berries, and drink some water." She rambled on, shoving the tin of water in front of him along with the berries she'd spent all morning gathering. "Just, lay down and rest. Please" She said, voice shaking slightly. She hated the thought of being alone again after having someone to take care of for the first time in months.

[ will make fancy when I'm not on my phone xD ] Illucid was hesitant, ears flicking back uncertaintly. He wasn't used to all this attention, and not many horses were ever looking for his company either. It was strange to him, to hear her asking for him to stick around, but he heard the underlying desperation and finally gave in. Nodding, the buckskin slowly lowered himself back to the ground, legs shaking under his weight. His body leaned once again against the tree he had been against that night. He felt himself wondering if he'd finally found himself a true friend. Someone who would look after him when he needed it - someone that actually wanted to be around him. Someone who wouldn't turn around and find a new friend or the like. He felt his jealousy begin to bubble over and quickly put it out, afraid he might show signs and really mess things up with Greer. Then again, he was probably getting far, far ahead of himself. He liked to do that.
Jaws parting in a yawn, he turned his head to look at the mare. "You've really been busy, haven't you?" he said with a small smile. He then reached out for the water, nudging the contraption over. His head tilted as he eyed it, not sure how it was used. "What the hell is this thing?" he asked.

"Its a tin, from people I guess. It says strange things in it all I can make out is sugar. I guess that's some sort of ingredients they used. I think its a storage device. It's good for carrying stuff around. " she smiled, fascinated by the human object shed collected.
She glanced over at the injured horse, who was still clearly in pain. She knew that feeling, and oddly enough she craved it. It distracted her.
"So," She said calmly. "Whats your story, mountain horse?" She asked with a smirk. She knew it wasnt always polite to ask about someones history but she thought she might as well make conversation.

The buckskin gave a short nod, still gazing curiously at the tin after drinking some of its contents. The cool water sliding down his throat was a relief, and he appreciated her taking the time to get it for him. He had heard something about humans before but was otherwise clueless about them. He'd heard about the city, of course, and there had been talk of a small rundown place here on the East. Ears flicking, Illucid pushed aside the tin and glanced over at Greer. He suddenly found himself wondering about her. He didn't know her well at all, but from what he could tell, she was careful and caring, even with that bit of attitude. The naive stallion was terrible at reading others by looking at them, so he quickly gave it up. If she wanted to talk about herself, he figured that she'd do it on her own.
Greer then asked about his history, and Illucid visibly flinched. The subject was very touchy, depending on how far back he had to reach. Anything past a year was difficult, and he'd refuse to tell anyone, especially a mare whom he had just met. Why did she need to know anyway? Suddenly Illucid became hostile, and his blue eyes stared appreciatively at her. The feeling quickly passed though, and the buckskin was soon relaxing once again, and he even smiled at her joke. "Depends. What would you like to know?" he asked casually.

Greer took a small shift backward, still a bit anxious when she could see the anger in his eyes. She scolded herself for asking such an idiotic question. You didnt just ask people where they were from and about their life like that. Lord knows she would be the living daylights if someone asked her the same question.
"Sorry...that was rude of me. Where are you from? Herd?" She asked quietly out of instinct. She knew that when another was angry and you had no choice, be as gentle and quiet as possible. Being rash and rude just got you hurt.

Illucid slowly shook his head, mane swaying with the light movement. He was quiet for a moment, thinking of how to answer her question. On any other day, the stallion would have outright lied. It was normal for him. This time, however, he considered telling her the truth. She had seemed pretty upset over upsetting him, even if he had gotten over it already. It made him feel.. bad. Heaving a sigh, Illucid slowly closed his eyes and mumbled, "I'm a loner. Born and raised on East," He hadn't planned on elaborating any further, even if she had asked for it. Honestly, he hadn't thought that she needed much more information. If she wanted to know his whole story, she'd have a hard time getting him to open up. Bringing himself back round to looking at the mare, Illucid tilted his head. "What about you?" he asked.

Greer nodded at his answer. She wondered if he too had grown up near here. When she was a filly, she was alone alot of the time. Her family was rather secluded so she never expected to se any other foals.
"Well, I was born near here actually. In a canyon in the Riddle Mountains...my parents are-" She stopped abruptly. Sometimes it was hard to beleive they were really, really dead. "Were loners." She said, correcting herself. "Well, how did you end up tumbling down that mountain?" She asked, perking her ears. She decided to get off the history discussion.
