A Private Roleplay between treebranch's Syria and silmellon's Outlaw
Time: After Objective IV and before Objective V. The Exiles are still living on Bachelor land.
It's late at night and stars fill the sky, it seems Syria cannot sleep and goes off to wonder about the lands, she comes across Outlaw and asks for him to join her. Soon the two talk and learn a bit about each other, though he should still be wary. At times Syria can be quite mischievous or overbearing. She flows with what Outlaw gives off.

This RP was started through notes but Tree and I decided to move it over to the forums now that she has an account. The note RP is below and we will continue off that.
Outlaw:
The sun was barely at it's heightened point in the sky that day, but already it was a rather muggy morning. Especially for fall, when the weather should be cooling down. Mosquitos along with other bothersome insects buzzed lazily in the soupy air and there wasn't a even the hope of a breeze to shoo them away. Despite the heaviness of the weather and the annoyance of the insects, Outlaw was in a cheerful mood. Although that wasn't really a rarity. His head was held high with pride, his black tipped ears were pricked, and his thick coal colored tail was held off the ground. The stallion had woken up early to be a part of a small self-organized group of Exiles to go check on the Southern Isle from the Bachelor beach and beginning of the landbridge. Since the fire it had started a long recovery and was slowly returning to its former glory. Outlaw was glad to find a bit of improvement each time he was invited to go check on their home, since to their home was where he wanted to return to. A warm smile graced his features as the rest of the herd came into sight and his pace picked up to a springy trot. The visit had put the stallion in a good mood, and with brightness in his soft brown eyes, he began to mingle around within the herd.
Syria:
Syria snorted with distaste, oh how she longed the charred forest, and the smell of ash in the morning. Sure it wasn't anything to grand others would think, but to her it was the smell of home. Something she longed for dearly. The air here seemed so thick, muggy and getting warm. Made the air hard to breath. Tail flickered swatting away the annoying pest that dared to harass her. The herd muttered it seemed the group sent out to travel was back.
Head lifted high as she spotted them coming back, jealousy filled her in a way. She too wanted to see her homeland, she may not even come back. Head flickered as she trotted up towards them, though she spotted Outlaw and smiled brightly. "How is home?" she asked curiously, head tilting the side. Ears perked high on her brow as she glanced about. "I'll be ready for all of this to end you know... The battles and fights, and staying here with the Bachelors, more like mongrels." she had seen how they treated mares and even the Exiles. They all had the same heartbeat, why did they all treat one another like pests something of a challenge. At times Syria had dreamed of a world new, broken chain. No separation or inequality. But those are things of fairy tales.
Outlaw:
Outlaw was still on his high from seeing such an improvement in the foliage of the Southern Isle from a distance when he heard the hoofsteps of a mare he hadn't seen around very often before approaching him. But, being the social butterfly that he was, the strangely marked stallion knew this mare's face and name. Her name was Syria. In his head the name was paired with all the spots and red coloring. Before she knew he saw her though, Outlaw was able to spot the look of jealousy on her face. Curious. At least she smiled once she came to a halt in front of him. His romanized head was held high as well, not with dominance but with pride. It turned towards her completely and he returned the smile dashingly before replying with a gleam in his warm, brown eye.
"It's definitely on the road to recovery. Hopefully it'll be a bit of a rainy fall so the plants have a chance to regrow themselves." As he spoke, his black tipped ears were resting calmly to the sides of his head and one leg was cocked. No danger threatened the tranquil spot of the Eastern Isle, which gave the Guard a chance to take a deep breath (which is something he rarely did - Outlaw was always focused on protecting his herd and rarely gave himself a break from patrolling or doing whatever needed getting done). What caused his ears to swivel until they pointed completely forward was how the Scout thought about the Bachelors. Her vocabulary made him chuckle a bit in amusement, his pale shoulders bouncing slightly. "I agree with you a hundred times over. Fighting is a brute's way of dealing with issues they refuse to resolve with their words." The stallion swished his thick, coal colored tail to shoo a few mosquitoes away from his rump as he continued with a note of curiosity in his own voice. "Mongrels? Maybe their ways and what they're known for reflect that...but have you ever met one and talked?" He blinked innocently at her with his one exposed eye, awaiting his answer.
Syria:
Brow arose a bit as Outlaw spoke of the land, their land, home. A gentle sigh escaped her lips as she as she was more then ready to leave this place. It wasn't her home, sure it had grassy lands plenty to eat, well from what they could get, but still There was an odd comfort living in ash, it was all they knew at times. Though Outlaw spoke more, shaking Syria back into reality and not her wishful thinking.
The speckled mare snorted, though a smile as on her face as she looked to Outlaw. "You speak true, but still does not mean their ways are not in the least bit tainted." she remarked with a smirk. "No I have never had such a privilege in meeting such a beast. But there is something to be said of those that do not flow with the way of change." She chuckled a bit casting a glance to him. Oh yes sure it seemed so foolish to call the bachelors out on their ways, but if they refused to change to way of things, well folly to them all.
Outlaw:
Outlaw too had grown tired of the luscious grasses and perfect weather of the Eastern Isle. And he knew exactly why. This wasn't their grass, this wasn't their weather, this wasn't their land. The Guard had left the Bachelor land years ago for a reason, and that was to get away from it. These hills held many memories for the strangely marked stallion, some joyful and some gloomy. Either way, it hurt. It hurt seeing the place where he had so many good times, and it was painful to relive the bad times. But Outlaw wasn't one for being in a negative mood so he was able to ignore it for the most part. Being here for an extended period of time definitely wasn't helping though. He just wanted to leave. Secretly he wished Khala would take the herd back to the Southern Isle, even in the rough shape it was in. At least that land held their pride like this one held their humiliation.
The stallion gazed at the spotted mare for a few seconds longer before chuckling softly and relaxing, his whole form taking on a much more friendly and approachable look. A playful grin swept across his face and his eye flashed happily.
"I'm just pulling on your tail. I know the Bachelors' ways are the picture of mistreatment, it's just that your reaction made me wonder what you'd think. Would an ex-Bachelor be as much as a beast to you?" He inquired with his black tipped ears pricked forward. Outlaw had grown up in the Bachelor herd, saw the error in their ways and took it upon himself to leave. The pale stallion had made friends within the Exile herd, and he was hoping that Syria would soon be one of them. But if the thought of an ex-Bachelor befriending her was repulsive, he would leave her alone although his pride would be wounded.
Syria:
A coy smirk grew on her lips, but vanished quickly as she flickered her tail looking to him all the more. Eyeing him suspiciously. She let the silence between them grow as it seemed she was checking him out, eyeing his form as if that was the first she had ever seen him. Syria snorted faintly before trotting around him a couple time before standing back in front of him. Eyes seemed to avoid contact as she shifted to the side, Though that infamous smirk of her grew on her lips.
"Even a beast can be shown the light." she chuckled some letting out a playful snort. "You left for a reason its clear to see you did not like something of their ways. As for a beast." she eyed him all the more. "Not sure that's the right word for such one as yourself." The speckled mare chuckled all the more. Sure he was an ex bachelor, but he saw the illness that took over that herd, saw what many of them never did. To her Outlaw was already moving onto the grander scheme of things. "I say the word for you is more of well....." Eyes sparkled with mischief. "Rabbit." Syria laughed all the more. "No ill meaning with, but a beast you? No." she smiled all the more flickering her tail with glee.
As the smaller mare assessed him, Outlaw's ears stayed shoved forward and the friendly smile stayed on his lips. He said nothing as she circled him at a bouncy trot, but his soft reddish brown eye followed her watchfully. His thick obsidian colored tail whisked back and forth gently a few times, just to show that he was at ease even under her suspicious gaze. The second time she circled him, he arched an eyebrow at her in question...but he still managed to look like he was either being sassy or flirting. Possibly because that's what he was famous for doing, even if he wasn't exactly doing it now. Now, he was just being purely curious and social. Though when a smirk spread across her face, he couldn't help doing the same. This expression was most natural for him and it definitely looked like it because his entire form relaxed once he too was smirking. When she spoke, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh? I'm not a ferocious beast that could attack at any moment? You never know."
Seeing the Scout smile and laugh let the Guard know that Syria wasn't hostile towards or uncomfortable with his presence. So he took a few more steps closer to her with a relaxed shake of his mane. But when she called him a rabbit, his visible eye widened and he let out a short, surprised squeal. "A rabbit? Me? A...rabbit? You must be joking!" he exclaimed, his black tipped ears swiveling all around. But he was laughing, clearly amused rather than offended. "At least rabbits are cute and if you're calling me cute that's good enough for me. I'd be a rabbit any day then." said the strangely marked stallion with a definitive nod and a little smirk. Outlaw flicked his own tail, snapping her gently on the side. Purely a playful notion just to get a reaction. It was after this that the pale stallion realized that the sun was sinking lower in the sky, painting it with warmer and pastel colors. Soon, the stars started winking down at the herd and on the two horses.
