Time: After objective 5, the grasses of the Last Green Land have risen and banished the ash. The forests are still healing but everyday Exiles work to raise their trees and make home home. RP status: Semi-closed RP between Maori and Venus
Venus departed the mass of the herd with much chatting to the others. She had finally slipped away to the coast with the land bridge in sight but not close. The small mare settled in the new grasses, keeping her legs unfolded. She studied the cuts on them, remembering that first day on this island when she got them. Venus had done everything she could think of to help them heal but they wouldn't. Her attentiveness and picking made the cuts reopen and she huffed in annoyance. Venus knew how to take care of this with eastern medicine, but this island was new, and adapting was the first rule Yonne ever taught her. Venus has helped many horses with stomach aches or a skinned knee, but she needed to understand this land if she really wanted to be useful. She thought hard as she inspected her legs. There's only so much a scroll can teach. . .

MAORI | EXILE | MEDIC
Even though they visited to the last green lands more often and often, trying to recover the lands they had once lost, she still didn't feel completely comfortable over here. Every time they crossed the land bridge, she thought back to that one day, and the only thing she could hear and see was a Quiver Back razing over the land, trying to consume every bit of fresh flesh he could get his claws on. It got easier, every time they were her. Still it felt as if that one time had traumatized her. It could've ended so much worse than it had done...
With a heavy sigh she breathed out the air she was holding. She tried to relax a bit, just like others did. As she let her gaze go through the herd, looking if she saw people she knew she could talk to, her gaze stopped at one mare that lay herself down in the fresh, green grass. She somehow remembered her in the back of her mind, but she couldn't place her name, nor her rank. With a soft snort and a turn of her ears she decided that some company was better that none, and that she could always just chit chat a little. Maybe she could help others out a little, because she herself felt a bit lost, even though this land should feel like their home.
With her soft but firm pace she walked towards the mare, lowering her head a little as she did, so the mare didn't have to look up as much. As she arrived near her, she snorted softly again, as a sort of notice that the mare wasn't laying alone and that she was nearing her.
''Hey,'' she said, as she paused her pace a few steps away from the dark colored mare. ''Are you okay?'' she asked, as she looked at the mare that was studying her own legs, that were covered in cuts that, as far as she could see from this distance, weren't healing that well.

VENUS| EXILE | SCOUT
Venus laid strips of cool grass over the new open cuts to soothe them. She looked to the coast not too far away- she could hear the waves from the grass. Moya called this time "high-tide". She was always fascinated with worldly things like tides. The rose mare was pulled out of her thoughts by nearing steps. A soft huff brought her gaze to a dun mare. She was the medic of the herd- oh how useful she must feel, Venus thought in relish of the mare's status. Venus would take care of sall things, but . . . Mary? . . . well she did everything from tummy-aches to a snapped tendon, surely! The mare gave a greeting, and asked of her wellness.
"Oh! Yes I'm fine. I cut my legs in the first few days of our return and I came down to clean them." She said shyly, looking up to the mare, but keeping her head lower in shyness and respect."I could have treated them effectively weeks ago, but I'm still adapting to southern medicine. And my attention is all drawn to keeping nature growing. . " she started to ramble- and make excuses.

MAORI | EXILE | MEDIC
"I could have treated them effectively weeks ago, but I'm still adapting to southern medicine. And my attention is all drawn to keeping nature growing..."
Oh, it finally hit her. This was one of the current Scouts, that was learning and hoping to get the opportunity to become a Medic in the future. She smiled warmly towards the mare, and decided to bring herself to the same level by laying herself down, just like the mare had done. She folded her slim, short legs under her body, and settled in the green grass. And as she finally lay down in the grass, she led go of a comfortable smile. It somehow soothed her, to just act as if they'd never left this island. Maybe that would work.
''Southern Medicine is a big tricky, in the beginning,'' Maori said, nodding at the mares words. "I've made a few fair mistakes in the past, but you learn from them.'' Her voice was warm and friendly. She tilted her head a little to shove the curly locks of her forelock back into place, and than focussed on the mare again. ''I'm Maori,'' she said, with a soft nudge of her head. ''I don't remember you're name, but I do remember you are studying to become a Medic one day, too, right?'' While she spoke she studied the mare's face. She was still young, but somehow had an adolescence over her. Like many others, she'd probably grown up to fast. The life of Exiles hadn't been to great lately, so she'd expected it had to do something with that.

VENUS| EXILE | SCOUT
Venus watched as the new mare lay delicately on the grass beside her. The mare let a gentle smile shine and the put Venus at ease. ''Southern Medicine is a big tricky, in the beginning, I've made a few fair mistakes in the past, but you learn from them." she said, which reassured Venus that she wasn't alone. Even the Medics had trouble at first. ''I'm Maori,'' she said, ''I don't remember you're name, but I do remember you are studying to become a Medic one day, too, right?' Venus was caught a little off guard. Maori knew she was working on it and that made her happy. "Yes, I do hope to be one, but first I'd like to learn as much as i can!" she replied, with a shy laugh. "Oh yes, my name is Venus. Do you think. . . you could help me?" she added with an even shyer grin.
