An RP between Khazada and Maori of the exile herd. Wasn't too sure where this would take place so hopefully this will work.

Khazada-Guard-Exiles
Since her last trip back to the Exiles homeland, Khazada was more on edge then before. Flicking her ears, she glanced around her before lifting her head to look back at the heavens just as a light breeze moved her forelock out of her face.
The draft mare frowned in silent concentration as she looked from patterns in the stars, a skill she was just learning now. However her gaze tore away from the night sky as she noticed another herd member though Khazada didn't seem to know her name. Giving a shy paw at the ground in front of her, she finally took a few steps towards the other mare. "I...I don't believe we have met..." Khazada finally nickered, putting both ears forward to show she was friendly.
"I am Khazada." The dun added a few moments later just as she shifted her weight. She never seemed good with introductions but even Khazada knew it was necessary. How else would she know other members of her herd?

MAORI | EXILE | MEDIC
Like some loved the night for it bringing piece and rest, she hated it for it's darkness and silence. She couldn't stand it that wel, neither could she bring herself to sleep, since that were the moments her memories came back tot her. She spend most of the night trying to go to sleep, or wandering around the herd and just keeping an eye out... Because, well... She had to do something while others rested.
And tonight was just such a night. She had tried sleeping but as it wouldn't work, she had given up trying. She felt restless and in dire need of someone to talk to or someone that could shove her nightmares away to a place from which they wouldn't return.
Just as she was slowly and as silent as possible making her way along the other, resting herd members she walked into one of her herd members who was, just like her, living through the night, instead of sleeping.
When the mare spoke to her, she smiled. She telt a bit intimidated by the height difference between them, she being so slim and fragile, while the other mare was tall and muscular. But that wouldn't stand in her way trying to make a conversation.
"I indeed think we haven't. I'm Maori," she said, as she made a quick, short nudge with her head as a greeting. She smiled at the mare, happy about the fact she had finally found someone to make chit chat with.
"What brings you to stay up at night?" she asked friendly, a curious undertone to her voice. It wasn't that often she found others wandering around at this hour.

Khazada-Guard-Exiles
Maori, she must be one of our medics...Khazada was still trying to place the names, ranks, and faces of her herd mates. Luckily for the draft mare she hadn't been in need of Maori's help as Khazada had been rather fortunate when it came to avoiding injury. One such trait she wished to keep up for as long as she could.
"I'm usually up at night, well as the stars are only out during that time." At this, Khazada gestured with her muzzle towards the dark sky above them. "And this is the only time I can actually study them." It was no secret Khazada spent most of the night stargazing though sense taking on her study of Astrology she found her sleep patterns begin to change to fit her late night studies. The dun mare was determined to get a better understanding of the star's patterns before she would have such need of a skill. Giving a quick bob of her head, her attention drifted around her briefly before Khazada faced Maori once more. "What about you? Why are you up this late?" Khazada asked, tilting her head slightly as she saw no other reason any normal equine would be up this late other then stargazing or on watch for the herd. Maori didn't seem to match either of those descriptions.

MAORI | EXILE | MEDIC
While she at first gaze couldn't completely place name and face of the mare, a little puzzle piece fell on it's place when she said she studied the stars at night. There weren't that much that studied the stars. That, together with her and her muscled size, she had to be a Guard. If she could only remember her name...
As the mare spoke, she followed her gaze up to the sky, where all the stars were shining brightly. She smiled as she returned her gaze to the mare. ''I can see why you study them. They are gorgeous, at the very least. Are they useful, too?'' she asked, as curious as she always was. She herself didn't knew a single thing about the stars, but she knew some of the horses walking Chevalin saw more in them than others could. She smiled as she looked back to the mare in front of her. She'd probably already guessed she wasn't a Guard that was up at night keeping watch over the others. There went her cover.
The look in her golden eye changed for a bit, and shortly she looked back up to the sky again. As she returned to look the mare in the eye, she smiled again. ''Well, to be honest. I don't sleep that well and I don't enjoy staying at one spot at night, especially when I can't seem to find my sleep.'' She smiled a bit sheepishly. She felt so stupid for being honest about the fact that she couldn't find the rest and peace to just close her eyes and doze off to sleep. If it was just that easy...

Khazada -Guard- Exiles
A pleased smile found it's way on the draft mare's muzzle with Maori's interest in Khazada's study. "I have not studied them long but from what I've heard you can actually find your way at night when traveling. All the stars have their own pattern but I still have yet to figure them out. But perhaps such a talent could be useful to our herd..." However even with all the studying Khazada found herself having to do, the dun mare was quite excited about it and no doubt she made no move to hide it.
"Well perhaps a little walk would help?" Khazada offered, as often when she could not sleep, she'd go from a stroll a little away from the herd. "I mean there's a stop I usually go where the stars appear a little brighter. It's not too far and perhaps it will get your mind at ease?" She knew many horses didn't like wandering off at night as predators were more lively then, but Khazada seemed convinced it may help her fellow herd member. If not, it may be a better place to talk and not worry about waking up any of the other Exiles.
