[GYDA]
Gyda followed behind the group, keeping an out for any changing their minds and wanting to run away and to keep stragglers from walking too slow. Watching over the mortals for the two hour walk back was almost the two most boring hours of her life. So close to her friend but unable to really even talk to her. The group stopped and Alistair told them to stay and watch the mortals and as he left Gyda pranced over to Elona's side and happened to catch her wince from the pain. With all the action going on Gyda had forgotten her friend was injured and her gaze looked out to the direction Alistair left, hoping he returned quickly as her injury probably hurt more and more as their adrenaline wore off.
"Sometimes I get the impression he isn't very fond of us... No matter, We'll be rid of him and these mortals soon enough." She joined in at her friend's statement with a soft laughter. Yes she would love nothing more than to get away from the mortals and be done with them and this mission, but even though Alistair is somewhat of a jerk and cold hearted, there was something about him that she found attractive. Maybe it was his bravery and how handsome that golden coat of his was. "Stop day dreaming, we have to still keep an eye out on the criminals until Alistair returns." She snapped to herself as soon as she felt a smile appear from thinking about him.
Gyda shifted her weight and sighed, somewhat impatient and over this whole mission. But she began to wonder again what would happen when the king came, but most importantly, would she and Elona be allowed to stay and listen? Or would she have to find Alistair and pry the details from him? The latter wasn't sounding like too bad of an idea, just another excuse for her to see Alistair again. "Gyda, stop day dreaming" She yelled at herself again as she returned her attention to the tired, miserable, and scared looking mortals.

[EZRA]
Thoughts of escaping skipped along through Ezra's mind as they were herded to some inner part of the island. When he originally surrendered he had small plans of trying to escape again later once they had regained their energy, but now that they had been traveling for an hour or so there was no way he could find his way back to the wall. Begrudgingly he stayed in line and followed the unicorns' commands, not wishing to be suffocated again. Which by the way was quite itchy and scratchy and water sounded like an amazing gift at the moment. The group halted and the golden unicorn gave the two females an order and went off in a separate direction. Ezra swished his silver tail against the sides of his rump swatting at the pesky flies while he patiently waited for the leader unicorn to return. To keep himself entertained and occupied he began surveying the land, from he could see without moving from his spot. He wasn't actually too incredibly bummed out they were caught, well if they get to live. But if they are kept like captives of the Bachelor herd things probably won't be too bad, plus he would have ample time to continue studying the amazing flora and fauna this island contained.

The Aphelion King's leonine tail swished to and fro as he waited with feigned patience, energy vibrating from him as he fought to maintain the mask of indifference that he had crafted for himself over centuries, a face of diplomacy and reason. Every facade, every reality that Valraldic had ever crafted was about to be put to the test as they dealt with the mortal horses that profaned this world, and who had unwittingly released them back into the land that was rightfully theirs. He was the only unicorn alive that truly knew how long and anguishing the wait had been, he was the only one who knew the truth of every situation and every circumstance. It was a lonely pedestal to be on, but a necessary one. Though he loved his subjects, with the fateful events that transpired ages ago, he wondered if they were hardy enough to understand how the world was without his implicit guidance. At least for right now. He could not let the unicorns foster the seeds of pity for the lowly horses at such a critical juncture. Precedent needed to be set, and now was the time. Let the plains of their hearts be salted and burned.
A flash of gold appeared in the corner of his eyes, and Valraldic lifted his head from his thoughts, the golden plate on his head shifting with the motion, royal purple fabric flickering in the breeze. His Overseer, Alistair, was on the approach, with a look of determination and pride about him that kindled a fire of his own in Valraldic's heart. Any small misgivings he might have had vanished with seeing Alistair's approach, feelings of anticipation crackling in the air like heat lightning. "My King," The palomino called as he approached, bowing his head so that his curled horns were lower than Valraldic's own, as was custom, "we have secured a number of the mortals, but the witch is still at large. They await your presence in the valley." Valraldic strode out to meet him, and touched his nose to Alistair's bowed head gently before pressing on. "You've done well, the witch we can handle at a later date. Perhaps even these mortals will help draw her out into the open. I wonder whether she is loyal enough to them that she would sacrifice herself for them." He replied as he gestured for Alistair to lead the way back to where the mortals were being held. He doubted that the game with Ba'yagu would be that simple. That much had been proven centuries ago, yet even after all this time, life had a way of surprising the unicorn king.
Their pace moved to a brisk trot as they came toward the valley, and Valraldic spotted the unseelie mares that Alistair had been assigned to assist him in their goal. Only four mortals...he wondered how many remained. He could only imagine they had overrun the islands with their base-born filth, but he hoped that the Olde herd which he and the others had personally fostered, still remained loyal to them. It all remained to be seen with the information that his agent would hopefully retrieve. Valraldic stopped before the captured equines and the unicorn mares, his head held high and his eyes heavily lidded in arrogance. Were these mortals worth wasting words on? "Poor misguided fools." The king breathed, staring each one down. "So trusting of your powerful leader...but where is she when you are captured, hm? Where did Ba'yagu go when you need her most?" Elegantly, he paced before them, his movements calculated like a feline on the prowl, watchful eyes flicking from one hornless face to the next. "You have destroyed my sanctuary, and for that you must pay...however I will be just and give you a choice. Give me the information that I need, or I will take it from you. Piece by piece, shred by shred." He closed his eyes and harnessed his reality manipulation gift, allowing the field to suddenly go dark around them. As the darkness closed in, monsters pressed in around them, giant Quiverbacks snapping their jaws at the silver-maned stallion's ears, a lunar raven clawing at the donkey's lips with frenzied talons. As this was going on, he spoke. "I will make you forget everything you've ever loved, everything you ever dreamed. I will transplant every part of you that makes you you. I will break you and rebuild you and break you again" Valraldic whispered as he neared the captives, his body simply passing through the predatory illusions that he created as his lips brushed their ears, tickling the little sensitive hairs that lie within.
And then, as quickly as it had come, the illusions vanished and they returned to the untouched valley, cloudy but no different than it had been moments before. He turned his back on the mortals and stared into the lands beyond. "Tell me what you know of Ba'yagu, and what has come to pass for the last 300 years."
