The slender feathered legs of the dark black elk slid across emerald green grass and pale silvery leaves reflected onto the elk's coat. It was mud ridden, coating its face and other attributes. The sly devil couldn't have anyone thinking that something was off, so the easily recognizable "X" laid across his face had to be covered up somehow. Thus, the almost brown looking back stag came to be. He smiled a bit, wicked looking almost with those piercing orange-red eyes glinting in the light.
The elk made his way along. With his newfound talent, Olde would find this new animal quite the... curious elk. Probably the only one who would dare approach the horses. Anyway, he was here for one reason only. He craved it currently. Someone or something that he could use, however wicked it would turn out to be. As a toy or anyone he could get information from. The stallion hadn't found the bachelor mares attractive or worth his time, but an Olde mare he could use for both of his needs, maybe he could even bring her back to the herd should she be like the others. Whimpering and pity seeking mares who just prayed on for their unicorn gods to deliver them. He chuckled quietly to himself, the elks vocal cords making the sound seem eerie and terrifying.
There was the crunch of leaves and the whisper of breath. The elk moved slowly and quietly, zoning in on his target. A mare, spotted but attractive. She reminded him somewhat of the appaloosa sisters in his own herd. He faked an animal's look of fear and curiosity as he looked at the mare head on.
