Time: About a week or two after the battle between The Bachelors and The Olde

However, Ember and Outlaw hear something suspicious and follow it away from the rest of the patrol, only to be separated and ambushed! What will they do?!
The sun was a bit low in the sky for the start of a patrol in Outlaw's opinion, he should be back with the rest of the herd watching over it for the night. But at this point in time a late night was nothing out of the ordinary for any member of the Exile Herd, so he didn't complain. They were all going through a period of rough times and everyone had to sleep with one eye open, so to speak. Despite all the destruction and discomfort around him, Outlaw still looked and acted unconditionally carefree, like his normal self. To many in the herd it helped them relax since seeing a smiling face in a trivial time often helped more than the giver of the smile could ever know.
So there they were, Ember, Outlaw and a few other souls loping off through the grasses rolling like green waves in the warm wind in search of a better living. The softly muscled stallion ran near the head of the group, grinning and tossing his thick, silky mane around in the wind that was lifting it. Blissful chuckles sounded from his side of the group as they picked up their pace very slightly. Outlaw was indeed looking rather majestic, even model-like as he ran. He looked back at a tall, blood bay mare he had only recently met with a flawless grin and slowed his pace slightly so they traveled shoulder to shoulder.
"Hey Ember! Great evening for running doing you think?" He inquired loosely as stars began dotting the opposite horizon of the sun, which was painting the sky with beautiful shades of red, orange, pink and yellow.
