Paper-Wings-Ranch - Odette
It wasn’t a particularly cloudy day, in fact it had been sunny most of the early hours, with the fluffy clouds moving in sometime after the sun had passed it’s highest point. They were light, fluffy and white, carrying no chance of rain but bringing with them a bit of a cold, harsh wind. Daemyn didn’t mind that too much. He was still layered with his fluffy winter coat, although it was beginning to itch and clumps of it fell off more often than not.
He‘d found a small hill some fair distance from the main herd, a spot where he felt isolated and therefore secure. He was… having trouble socializing after the clash between Olde and Bachelors, his defeat having left him feeling horribly useless, a waste of air and space. He was convinced everyone around him felt the same way, that they truly saw him for the fool he was, thinking he could ever be of any help. So he sought solitude and found himself staring longingly at the clouds drifting by.
He tilted his head and frowned darkly, reaching out with his new-found Gift to nudge a small cloud, watching as it drifted past the others, just a little faster. He snorted and pinned his ear back. Hrmph! Controlling the clouds. What good would that do? Would the Bachelors laugh themselves to death as bunnies hopped across the skies?! He smiled bitterly as the small cloud morphed, slowly, taking on a shape that… if you squinted right… kind of looked like a bunny.
Great! He couldn’t even make convincing shapes.

Odette hadn't meant to wander so far away from the herd, it had just sort of...happened. Not that she was particularly surprised, her wandering off without thinking was exactly a new thing anymore. Except, that wasn't quite right. It's not that she wasn't thinking, no, more like she was thinking too much. She had been thinking far too much lately, and not about very pleasant things for that matter. Not to mention every time she closed her eyes all she could see was a mud-slicked, blood-soaked battlefield.
Shaking her head to clear it, the bay mare lifted her head to the sky, as if she could find some sort of answer there. What met her was an odd sight for sure. A small cloud, moving across the sky. It wasn't really strange, or unusual at all, but something about it almost seemed to calm her. The tight knot, and malicious butterflies of near-panic that had seemed to have taken up permanent residence in her gut lessened just a fraction. For the first time since the battle, Odette felt like she could breathe.
As she continued to watch the cloud, its shape began to change slowly; into what, she wasn't sure but she still found it oddly calming. She soon became aware that she was still walking and had made her way up a hill which, upon further inspection, appeared to already be occupied by a large stallion she recognized from seeing around the herd a few times. Though she couldn't recall a name. Unsure of what to do Odette simply returned her gaze to the cloud. It kind of looked like a bunny, when she tilted her head and squinted a bit.
