"I will melt your heart and love your soul"
The filly laid in the meadow, the exile herd was nearby and a stallion was watching the filly closely, to make sure http she would not in any way be harmed by a predator or bachelor.
"I think I'm okay now Lumiére." She spoke quietly to the palomino. The yearling stood and the stallion rushed to make sure she wouldn't fall.
"No, I promise, I'm okay!" The stallion, by his snort, was probably frowning by now.
"Fine, I expect you will know that I'll be within fifty yards of you at all times then little lady." I sighed. Lumiére was always too hard on me, Daddy had made him my guard so I could roam, but life with him as my protector was hide and he'd fight them off.
I wanted to learn how to understand my disability, how to cope with it, how to eventually contribute to the herd with it. I would not be the drag down that would kill us all off, and I would not be the filly my mother thought who nearly was killed. I wanted to be strong.
Lumiére had disappeared and I soon began to mosey around, tripping here and there, but for the most part doing quite well with the flat land. There was a crunch of hooves on grass and dirt. My fine pointed ears turned and my head whipped towards the sound. Whatever horse it was, if they were from the Exile herd they knew not to come near me by my eye sockets shining in the sunlight, otherwise they would risk confrontation with Lumiére. "Who are you?! Stay away or my guard will come for you." My cobweb stuffed face and my herb strewn muzzle faced in the direction of, as Lumi would soon tell me, a grey bachelor stallion.
