Currently there is alot going on in Chevalin, especially with the Exiles. After the fires destroyed their home, the Exiles were forced to take shelter with the Bachelor herd, as their own island could no longer support them. In return for staying on the Bachelors land, they made a deal to hand over one mare or colt to the Bachelors each month as a sort of "payment". Cain, the new Bachelor leader decided to make a new deal with the Exiles: Give up Cael, their leader, and no more horses would be taken from the Exiles. Reluctently, they agreed. Khala stepped up as the Exiles new leader, only to be forced between a rock and a hard place. The Bachelors were on the verge of war with the Olde herd, and the Exiles were split on who to side with. So each Exile made a personal decision, deciding which faction to aid. Currently the Exiles are still split between the Olde and Bachelor herds, some Exiles residing with each.
