Charlie - LeavingNeverland Tierra - FreedomOnCanvas
Tierra: She heard the growling behind her as her eyes searched for a way up the steep, rocky cliffs rising from the ground around her. She had done this countless times before and knew exactly what to look for in an escape road. Steep and rocky enough for the wolves to have to slow down, but for her to keep running. Preferably with a gap and some lose rocks where the wolves could fall over.
The moment her eyes found what they were looking for Tierra altered her route. Seemingly out of nowhere she turned left and jumped up against the cliff. She heard the wolves behind her growl in frustration as they tried to keep up with her, but they weren't as fast nor as agile as her. Tierra concentrated on where to place her hooves as she climbed up the cliff. In one flowing movement she kicked a hoof-sized rock backwards, what was followed by a painful yelp and the sound of a wolf stumbling.
The little mare jumped to a big, flat stone. There she allowed herself to pause for a minute and look back at her followers. Only a three wolves tried to follow her up the cliff and they where falling behind. As she noticed this Tierra smiled, pleased with herself.

Charlie trotted happily over the stones, humming some simple childhood tune to himself -- a song about believing in unicorns and the beauty they brought to the world. He couldn't remember the words, but it didn't bother him much; he was happy with the humming. He scrambled over a patch of loose rocks and back onto the steady dirt path, looking for something interesting with which to occupy his time. Bowling for gophers just wasn't as much fun the fifteenth time around. Alone. Nothing was as fun alone, and no one seemed to have time for him today. His mother was busy with her healing, his mates were chasing after fillies he didn't care for, and everyone else seemed to have some sort of job they couldn't talk about. So here he was, adventuring alone. Again. He'd have to fix that one of these days. Maybe adopt a bird, train it to talk. Or something less stupid.
He heard a shower of rocks from somewhere ahead of him, and his ears locked onto the low sound of growling and clattering hooves. His eyes reached out over the landscape, searching for anything that might tell him for certain that someone was in trouble -- and there it was. A mare leapt out over an outcropping of rock, followed by three very hungry, very angry wolves. Oooooh dear, Charlie thought, bashing his hooves off against the ground, throwing himself into a full canter towards them, his hooves making a clatter all their own against the loose rock. He leapt at one of the wolves, kicked it away with his heavy front hooves, slamming it down onto it's back in the dirt. He kicked out behind him, his hooves landing on a wolf behind him, wondering why the mare was just standing, watching. Did she know they were going to eat her?!
"Now would be a great time for us to run!" Charlie announced as the wolves got unsteadily back to their feet.
