"Last Act's Prelude"
A role-play between Crystaluniicorn's Heliconia and Elesette's Pippin
The summer air felt clingy on the shoulders of the young unicorn. He couldn't help but roll them anxiously under the humidity as he exited the top tier of the whispering fountain. He never did quite understand the fascination some of the royals had with him, but he was called up to hear their words quite frequently. How was he doing they wanted to know? But he hated that question. "Fine" had always been the answer, for who was he to judge his state? Surely if he wasn't dying or bleeding red he was fine indeed. Yet, they always seemed to disgruntled with his answer. Why, he could never be sure, but that wasn't what bothered him now. No- it was just the damned heat and how it wrapped around him. He sighed, his day half over now that he had made the trek up the mountain side to speak with the royals. It would be practically wasted by the time he got back to the bottom. The forest of Giants would have to wait till the next day.
The young unicorn had always been mystified by the large-scale forest that existed on the outskirts of unicorn territory, but never in all of his 248 years had he thought he would actually go and explore it. The land was meant for outcasts, and it was rare anyone of even citizen stature was seen crossing into it's depths. Something was off however, the weather was warmer than he had ever recorded in his life and the sky occasionally lit up with a sheen if you looked at it in the right angle. It had unnerved him for quite some time... and he wondered what was changing to make it so. He had his suspicions he'd find (WIP)
