Charlie's back arched with the leftover pain in his muscles, even now after battle was long over and his gaping wounds had given way to crusted scabs. He tried to ignore the fact that most of these would be with him forever; he was flawed now, wearing the tears and terrors of war on his body like a crown. He let out a rough sigh as his tired muscles contracted, aching for a rest as he stumbled over the pathways through the Riddle Mountains, his hooves catching every crack the mistempered rocks had to offer. He had found out quite quickly that being a warrior was nowhere near as glamourous as he'd initially thought. There had been no damsels in distress to swoon at him after his job was done, and no dragon head to drag back to camp amidst a chorus of cheers and jealous jeers from his peers. But that was all right, he told himself. They'd helped people. Protected their own. Right?

Tamera was minding her own business as she was free from doing anything at the moment made her wander the lands but she seem to always end back near the base of the Riddle Mountain. The mare sighed in disbelief that she keeps wandering aimlessly without a destination. Maybe she could go to the battle field and look for Kalus if we was fighting? No that wasn't a good idea at all not like they are gonna ignore her they would fight her as well if the brutes saw her, some still recognize her as well and who knows if that guy is still around... Nature seemed so quite today to quite for comfort, this make her feel even more at ease since she last lost to Charlie, in truth she hasn't even got over an inch even though its been a full week. Its not like she didn't get to rant and get it off her chest, in fact last week she ended up ranting to Daric which was the first time she even talked to him, was she going to end up meeting someone else here today as well? Who knows just as long as it doesn't have to be someone she really doesn't want to see then she would be fine or so she thought.

Charlie dragged his hooves over the hard, packed ground, thoroughly lost in his own thoughts. He let out a pathetic sigh as he looked back over the valley where they'd spent the last few days., bloody and bruised. Funny how quiet and serene it all looked from up here. He wouldn't have thought that possible.
His eyes jerked to the side, caught by a shifting shape among the harsh trees and thorny, fruitless bushes. He squinted, and for a moment all he could see was a puzzle piece of colour here and there, the larger blocked out by leaves and branches. And then there she was.
He took a tentative step backwards. Talk about awkward, he thought to himself, trying to be as quiet as possible as he made his slow and careful way back down the path. Maybe if he was lucky, she wouldn't see him.

The mares ears flicked towards the sound of draging hooves nearby on the hard packed ground. She came back into reality as she looked around and halted to a stop, a defensive stance ready at any moment too attack or flee if needed be. Who was out here now? Not many horses drags their rumps up here unless they were needing time alone, or was it bachelore guards making there round? No no that could be right at all she thought to herself they would all be still fighting right now they don't have time to slack off. The only advantage she had was the fact that she was covered by the eaves and branches of the thick trees. Through the thicket her eye caught a sight of a bay shaded hue that looks familiar. She liffited her muzzle up inhaling a large amount of air trying to figure out if this was indeed who she thought it was.
As a few deep inhale and exhaling she knew that smell from anywhere it was...Charlie. Oh wierd was it to have meet him now after what happened, this just felt like the worse day now as she knew he proably know who it was by now. It wasn't hard to see since she had a dark color coat and white rump due to her apoloosa markings. After her mockery and then lost she really did not want to see his face, how could she? She felt pathetic making all that talk and then just lost to him. After conteplating for what seemed like hours she heared him slowly walking the other direction as if he was afraid she would hear his hooves clatter the hard ground. What the heck, what I got to lose now anyway? she thought as she made a quick and quite trot making her way towards him. What was she going to say to him? More insults, it seemes as if thats all she could do. No she has to at least apologize to him for her behavior last time it was not of a Knight...it was her rage and lust of blood taking over her that time. The mare shook her head side to side as she mumbled to her self unaware that as she walked and thought she slightly bumped into Charlie's rump.

Charlie squeezed his eyes shut as he felt something collide with his hind quarters, every muscle in his body tensing. He stood frozen, one foot in the air, afraid to move, afraid to breath. Only one thought ran through his paralysed mind: 'OH shite.' It was her. It had to be her. Who else could it be? Well, if he was lucky, it was a bear hell bent on tearing the flesh from his bones. But who was he kidding; he wasn't a lucky kinda guy.
With a sharp intake of breath, he plaster the most genuine smile he could onto his face, ignoring the fact that he couldn't keep it from wobbling at the edges. He was not mentally prepared for this. He turned, finding her black and white standing out starkly against the drab mountain side. He couldn't 'miss' her if he tried.
"Heeeey!" he exclaimed, the enthusiasm in his voice sounding forced and anxious. "Didn't see you there. Cuz, you know... and the trees... and then bushes and stuff. So. Yeah. I mean, great to see you! It's been like... what... days? Or... hours? No, not hours. But like, days. And DAYS, am I right?" he let out a jagged, nervous laugh which sounded anything but genuine, trying to fill the awkwardness that filled the air around them like poison gas. "So how about them Bachelors? What the hell, am I right?" he added when the silence went on a few seconds too long, and he couldn't think of anything else to say.

Her muzzle made contact with Charlies rump as she shook her head from the unexcpecting ripple of effect from the little accidnet that had just transpired. The mare blinked several times and froze on the spot for a bit still not registering this in her mind. "Holy shit!" she yelled out her face complelty starting to flush shades of red as she realized what she had done unconsciously. She backed away as fast as she could nearly stumbling in the procces from her long tail. Great that was an amazing way to try and talk to the guy she thought as she was averting her gaze towards his hooves in an attempt to thwart her already cherry flushed face as much as possible.
Her ears picked up his greeting that sounded sarcastic and akwardness combine as he rambled on about things. Slowly she tried to relax and look up at the stallion in the eye. "Hey uh...Sorry about you know bumping into you and all..." she said barley in a whisper voice for the stallion to hear. What am I doing sheesh I can't even apologize now? she repermanted herself in between listening to him speak. "Y-Yeah its been days since last time we met..." her voice was dying out on her at the moment she didn't want too. The silence was so uncomfortable that it felt like any sound could make both them lose their composer or what ever is left of it.
"Well yeah I guys those guys were crazy...So um how did it go with you? Did ya manage to kill a few of them?" The grullo mare mangaed to reply to his question but she didn't really know what to say. She disobeyed orders and got herself her on parts of the war even though she was supose to stay back after losing to Charlie. She knew she would have to face the concequences after this was over but for now she didn't care she was on her home turf again after so many years it wasn't a bad thing to be sentimental at looking back at her memories here while she tried to figure what she would want to do now out of her life.
She felt like it was a bad idea trying to talk to Charlie, she wonder why she did, she could have just let him walk off and then she wouldn't have to talk to him again unless it was really nesseary. Then again there was a part of her she felt like she had to go, she remember what Arturo said to her when he helped praticed sparring with her just a week before the match she had with Charlie. She needed to channel her anger and rage but she failed him this time around. How will she even face the other Knight now? the least she could do is try and make up with Charlie. Though she hoped that the stallion wouldn't take it to heart much or maybe it was already to late? So many things made her mind work at such overtime it praticly driving her anxious and self conscious feelings even more then ever.
Tamera shifted her weight from side to side in an anxious way not knowing how Charlie was gonna take it up with her. He must have thought she was some crazy blood lust mare. "Also I followed after you caused I wanted to tell you something." she said trying to calm her voice and hide how nervous she really was.
