A Role Play Between POEDOGS'S Cethin and PAPER-WINGS-RANCH'S Casper ___ Casper finds Cethin in a meadow, one that only a select few know about thanks to Grange, tending to his wounds from sparring and Casper makes her way over to help him. However the two begin to chat and Casper asks about his relationship with Grange, how will the two respond to what follows? ___ It was a colorless day, you could say, clouds rolling over the sun and covering it from view. A small meadow lay towards the fringes of the summer fields, calm and beautiful. There lay a dark colorless stallion, damning "X" shining on his face. He looked as if to be cleaning away blood from his legs and barrel, but blood dripped from a spot on his crest where the stallion he'd sparred with had pulled a chunk of his mane out accidentally. His orange eyes kept glancing to the general area where it was, but he couldn't reach it, no matter how he tried.
He turned away from it turning back to the puddles on the ground, one in front of him turned pink with the colorful blood. He glanced up seeing a mare, slave, he thought seeing her scars, she had not been treated well by the looks of it. "Morning," he called out, twitching an ear.

Casper heaved a sigh as she slowly made her way to a spot she hoped she could spend some time alone; she knew only a handful of other horses even knew of the small meadow, and those horses were off sparring or actually fighting or whatever was actually going on with this herd anymore. But despite her slightly bitter mood, the golden mare's thoughts were mostly consumed with worry. She had been counting on Grange to work alongside her in the more peaceful parts of the war preparations, but to her surprise he had willing joined in the fighting; which unsettled greatly. Grange wasn't a violent stallion, not if he could help it at least...and there had been something, well, just plain off about him. He hadn't even stopped to speak to her...
Casper was startled out of her thought by a voice, her one blue eye quickly focusing on the stallion lying in the grass. She recognized him immediately as Cethin, Grange's mate; which wasn't nearly as good as finding Grange himself, but at least she could finally get some answers.
The scarred mare trotted lightly over to the dark stallion and tsked quietly at his wounds, "Here let me help." She nickered softly, leaning down to begin cleaning some of the wounds he couldn't reach himself. "I would like to talk you though, Grange has been acting very strangely lately and I worry after him; he's like a brother to me, and since you're his mate I don't suppose you know what is the matter do you?"

Cethin flattened his ears, "We're... we're not together anymore." He turned away a moment, not taking the time to look the mare in the eyes. No use in hiding it, she'd figure it out at some point. He knew Grange was acting strangely, rather Cethin was the cause probably. The mare cleaned away some of the blood from his crest and he relaxed slightly, but wouldn't look her in the eye. "He's probably acting strangely because of me anyway, I'm just hoping he doesn't hurt himself because of it." Cethin thought of Greer, of the foal, of the betrayal in Grange's eyes.
He had found himself drowning in guilt the past few days. It was his fault. All his fault. His orange eyes shimmered with sadness as he looked into the puddle it's glimmering surface reflecting him. He took a swift glance at the mare to see her expression.
