Sparring partners Rae X Fionn
Rae:
Rae followed the cremello stallion Cain as he led her through the mixed herd of Exiles and Bachelors. A bright bay stallion was soon in front of her and Cain instructed her that they would be sparring partners and that this mysterious horse was named Fionn. She nodded at him, but in a respectable manner that told him she wasn't taking any nonsense and not to go easy on her, not that he would understand anyway. Cain introduced her as well, telling Fionn her name and that she chose the Bachelor over the Olde.
She was pleased with her partner. He was a few hands smaller then her, but had a perpetually grumpy look on his snout. He was rippling with muscles, much like herself. After trecking from the shore of olde back to the bachelor city and then back to Olde once more only to have to turn around and come here, she was conditioned and at her top physical form. She noticd herself had more scars, which caused her to feel proud yet imperfect aswell, which was a strange mix. But she knew her scars said she could take a hit. Unlike her long silken mane, his was a rats nest of leaves and knats. But now, she had a good friend named Effie who had tied it up into a singular braid down her neck, like a waterfall. And with a pin Effie had pushed back her forelock. Rae had thanked her tall friend, and went on her way. Then, Cain had paired her up since she didn't exactly have the voice to ask someone to spar.
She was snapped out of her thoughts when cain told them to “Get to it.” She motioned toward a clear patch where they could fight. Her pale blue eyes looked to the sky which appeared could begin drizzling any second. She turned her head to look back down at her partner, who looked eager for a fight.

Fionn:
Fionn was looking with squinted eyes at the orange sun that was slowly setting over the the rolling Summer Fields. It gave the impression of a peaceful evening. However, nothing was less true, as it was the evening that the horses would battle to decide who would be representing the Bachelors in the war that was to come.
The dark-colored andalusian was waiting. From the outside it didn’t necessarily seem as though something had changed about the stallion: From the inside though he was starting to feel the thrill of the battle that was ahead, a fire that slowly seemed to spread through his limbs and that made his muscles quiver in anticipation. He was determined to defend the honor of the Bachelors- he could not afford to be stuck here because of a loss in a sparring battle. No, he was dead set on winning this and then facing the Olde. The corner of his mouth twitched upwards when he thought of the herd of the Northern-most isle. Yes, finally they would be able to fight. There would be no holding back this time, and the Bachelors would come out on top, Fionn was convinced of this; For the Bachelors were made of war, born in bloodshed and raised to battle. He, for one, vowed to show them what a real member of the rogue herd was made of. However, to be able to stand eye to eye with the Olde’s he would have to succeed today, too. He looked at the bi-colored mare that was following Cain to him and narrowed his eyes with interest. He would be fighting an Exile mare? Even though his herd looked down upon mares and viewed them as the weaker race, he knew that he could not afford to underestimate his sparring partner. Underestimating an opponent could easily become one’s downfall, and Fionn would not be the one to make that mistake today.
He answered her respectful nod with one of his own and uttered his trademark “Hmh.” He followed her carefully with his eyes when she motioned towards the clear patch. Her movements were graceful and by looking at her build he expected her to be pretty fast. She also seemed ready to fight. Good, because he was aching for a good fight that wasn’t with a grassbeast or some other predator,-he was getting bored of those fast- and he wasn’t intending to go easy on anyone at all today, mare or not. If he was to give her the same respect and rights of a Bachelors stallion, then he would give her the same treatment, too. His orange eyes flashed as he looked at the mare straight once they stood still. “Let’s start, then,” he spoke in his low voice, pawing the grass with his forehoof once and then standing still, muscles lightly tensed and ready to go.

Rae:
Rae watched the small stallion claw the ground with his talons, eager to begin. Her expression changed from the neautrality and replaced it by looking down her nose at him with an im-better-then-you stare. She took the incentive and began, circling him slowly. When she reached his back left hoof she swung out a front leg, tripping him up, before slamming into him with her shoulder, sending him to the ground with a loud thump. She took a few steps back, bracing herself but ready to dodge any blows he had in his artilary.

Fionn
Fionn raised a non-existent eyebrow at the expression that now graced the mare’s features. A light smirk then replaced his own stoney face, as she made the first move. He’d show this Exile what Bachelors were made of. However well he was paying attention, just when he looked back she had already tripped one of his legs. He had to give way but braced himself against the slam against his shoulder by tensing his muscles and throwing his own weight in, and thus effectively staying up. “Not so fast, mare,” he growled, and he snapped with his teeth, going for her withers. He then turned quickly and set a few short steps, his small build allowing the sharp turn, so that they were chest to chest now and raised himself on his hind legs, kicking out his front legs and trying to hit her in the chest.

Rae:
Rae easily dodged his kicks, moving from side to side like a snake. Her seprentine style gave her the oppurtunity to snap at his neck, effectively taking hold of is mane and tugging, hard. She tore out a few strands, and spit them onto the ground. She too, reared up, pawing at the sky. She was much bigger when she was on her back legs, and was able to bop him on the back with her hoof, giving him a small scratch but drawing no blood shed. Only a flesh wound.
She let out a snort, shaking her head. She wouldnt lose this. She wanted to go to war, she wanted to prove to everyone that she was worth something. Ever since she was a foal everyone had thought of her lesser because she never talked and was always alone but now she was a grown mare and could fend for herself. And thats exactly what she was going to do.
With her new found confidence, she took a few steps back before pushing off her back legs and giving him a large push, using her size and muscle over him, easily sliding him back a few feet. She arched her neck, baring her teeth at him with her ears cupped on her neck loosley. This was not an attempt on her partners life but more a warning that she was in it to win it and she would not be loosing this sparring session.

Fionn
The mare tore out a few raven hairs and scratched some skin open, so that a little blood dribbled down his neck, but Fionn didn’t mind. It wasn’t like his hair had been very well-kept before the fight anyways and if he would have been scared of little cuts like these he might as well join the Olde right now. He had really started to warm up, a low rumbling sound emanated from his belly as he watched the mare. She now was the one to raise herself up. He grinned. She might think her larger build to be an advantage right now, but she had not accounted for the fact that she was fully exposing her belly to him. He shot forward and set out to bite her in the stomach with his teeth before gliding away and trying to dodge her attack. While he could avoid being hurt much a long and shallow cut now ran down his shoulder. When the mare pushed him he remained standing and tensed his chest muscles up, pushing her back with the power that was worth days of training and patrolling. They were chest-to-chest again and Fionn locked eyes with her, piercing her with his orange stare and giving no way. His upperlip curled slowly up. He could see her grow confident, and being the dominant horse that he was, he was not having any of that. A sinister look slipped over his face, she was the one doing the underestimating right now. He flattened his ears at her non-verbal warning and he let out a short, raw bark of laughter. “If a little pushing and pulling is all you can do, you’d better go home right now, mare,” he spoke in the same dead tone he used for all of his talking. His gaze however remained as intense as ever. The Andalusian had been training for all of his life, guarding the herd and fighting since the day he was born. If the mare thought she could simply overthrow him like that she had another thing coming.
He charged towards her, going to the side at the last moment and trying to set his teeth in her hindlegs, prepared to bite down as hard as he could. He then turned quickly again and aimed with his own back legs for the Exile mare, trying to go for her head and neck. After that he turned back again, ready to dodge or parry whatever blows she was cooking up.

Rae:
Rae winced as she felt a nip on her stomach, but it wasn't too bad only a small wound. She flicked her tail sharply, dodging his attack on her back legs. She was extra sensitive there after a beast had taken a good chunk out of her back left hock. Now, this wasn't a beast. This was a living breathing thinking horse, ready to skin her if this were a real battle. So, shouldn't she too?
Again she relied on her size as a defense mechanism, and grabbed the crest of his neck in her teeth, pulling backwards with all her might. She had used this in other battles to flip an opponent on their back and, while they were down, deliver a blow to the skull, rendering them unconscious and or dead. Although Fionn was very strong and powerful she knew she had the upperhand with ariel attacks, so she used them, digging her teeth into his fleshy neck and throwing her neck in a right angle, lifting his front hooves off the ground. Her muscles popped as she put all her strength into this attack.
