" Ice Skating " T h e P l o t Before the recent objective, Illucid had traveled to the Island of Olde for the very first time. While he was there, he was sure to fulfill all of his adventure needs. This particular adventure had taken him into the Shatter Lands. Getting over the ice is tricky, especially for someone as clumsy as this stallion. Unfortunately, he ends up bumping into Vasska, and they are left looking for a medic..

Illucid | Loner | Messenger
Without knowing how much time he could spend on Olde, Illucid wanted to make every second count. He hadn’t been here long, sure, but he didn’t know these horses and all of the rumors were all different. The city had yet to be discovered, for he had no idea where he was going, but the appaloosa had decided to let his hooves carry him where they wanted to go. This time, he had ended up in a strange place with little random islands here and there. They were by now covered in a layer of snow, and most of the water floating around them, separating them from each other, was turned to ice. This seemed to intrigue him quite a bit, and soon he was prancing across them, eyes bugging out each and every time his hooves slipped. A few times, he even made it to the ground, repeatedly kissing it. You could say that they were close to making it to the next level.
Most of the morning had been spent sprawling out over the ice, leaping from isle to isle, and just generally having a good time. Even better, there had been no sight of any horses around – he had at least expected some kind of patrol or something. Illucid tossed his head and looked out once more across the Shatter Lands, suddenly wondering how fast he could gallop from one end to the other without slipping and falling. Wishful thinking, but that wasn’t going to stop him. Shifting his weight onto his back legs, the buckskin reared, slicing the air with his hooves, before coming down and launching himself onward. He raced forward, hooves kicking up ice shavings where they dug in and propelled him faster.
The excitement was short lived, however, as Illucid soon caught sight of a grey stallion up ahead. He didn’t recognize this horse (though why would he), but he knew there was no way he was stopping now at this speed and on this ice. Why hadn’t he been paying better attention? The young stallion tried digging his hooves down, but on the ice, all he did was slip. Now with a good momentum, he came at the stallion, legs flailing dangerously as he tried to slow himself down.
“Look out!” warned Illucid, although all too far late. He barreled into the grey with a hefty “Oof!”

Snow still lingered on the planes of the shatter lands and for some reason that didn't surprise the middle aged stallion. The rest of the lands of Olde had already melted and the spring air was beginning to settle in to the world around them. It had lifted the spirits of the herd, but Vasska couldn't help but be deterred from the warm winds that came from the east. It was like warning from the Bachelor herd beyond - they would destroy everything the Olde herd had, much like the eastern winds had melted the ice off the shatter lands. He frowned at the thought, war was coming. He could do nothing to stop it. It would come on almost as suddenly as the sudden pain in his side did. At first, he was confused and disoriented. What had hit him? Why was he hit? Then.. he was angry. It was common knowledge that that early spring made the surrounding ice slippery and he couldn't help but be offset by this strangers sudden appearence.
The impact and sent him sliding off farther into the shatter lands he could feel the sharp surfaces cutting and breaking his skin. The cold burned as it tore open his flesh and he reared up in an attempt to stop himself from sliding onto the thinner ice. When he and the stranger's ride finally came to a stop. He bellowed, "What in unicorns name?" He leaped to his feet, slightly blooded in the knees and more over sore on every part of his body. He was seething in sudden fury - have been ripped away from the ground underneath him and his brooding thoughts. Catching his breath, he turned to see the culprit.
"What, are you doing" He challenged, white puffs of breath ebbing from his enlarged nostrils.

Jade | Healer Mage | Mare :
A small faint cloud of hot breath silently made it's way out of the grey mare's nostrils, as she snorted nervously. She had this strange feeling that something was going to happen, and that she should be there for it. But nothing indicated any sense to her feeling, as her pale blue eyes studied her eerily quiet surroundings, Her delicate curved ears flicking back and forth. The grey mare had nothing planned for the day, so she was out for a nice stroll near The Shatter Lands, where the snow had yet to melt despite the constant warm breeze from the East Island.
Since she had come back from the group training for the war, there wasn't much she could do except practice her skills as a healer mage, hoping and praying that she wouldn't have to take care of any fatal wounds during the bloodshed. So, until the day of the war, she would take every chance possible to enhance her skills as a Novice Healer mage. She was in a slight daze, listening to the soft crunch of snow underneath her cream hooves that lured her into a half-aware state. That was, until she a heard loud shout in the distance, and a very loud thud that even made Jade flinch and snap out of her daze. She stood still in her place, her ears straining to hear if anyone was in pain. After waiting a few minutes, she heard the loud booming voice of her leader, and that's when she decided it was her time to arrive. With a small rear, she pushed off with her hind legs, and lurched forward into a canter with her silky white locks flowing out behind her.

Illucid | Loner | Stallion

Though the pain in his knees and underbelly hurt something fierce from all of the awkward tumbling and skidding over the ice, Illucid had to laugh. This hadn't been planned at all - and really, why would someone plan to literally run into someone else in the first place? As he spun around, struggling to get a hold of himself on the ice, he began to feel himself slow. His laughter died down until he finally sucked in a deep breath to replenish what had gone. His body ached where he and Vasska had connected, but that seemed to be the least of his worries.
The grey stallion didn't look all too pleased, if that. In fact, he looked quite pissed about it all. What a party crasher. Illucid huffed defensively when he demanded answers from him. He didn't believe in the unicorns all that much, and hearing someone mention them was quite foreign. That's what he got for traveling on Olde turf. Shaking his head, the young stallion stood up and settled his gaze on Vasska. At this point, he had no idea who he was, for he had never seen the lead stallion before, nor had he heard too much to begin with. To Illucid, this was just another cranky stallion trying to rain on his parade. And he thought he had left those on the East Island.
" Well I was trying to have fun until you came out and crashed everything, " he replied hotly, ears pinning back. Illucid had no quarrel with anyone and would have rather left Olde with a good reputation, but the fact that this stallion had the nerve to let the buckskin take the blame made his blood boil. After all, he had been the road block, had he not? " I am, however, sorry that I wasn't looking out for where I was going. "
