Nimh focused on the swimming. She glanced back once, seeing the stallions scattering and leaving instead of trying to meet her on the opposite shore. She sighed from relief as she made her way across the lake. The water was cold but not too bad actually. Swimming felt easy, like she'd always done it, and she was surprisingly fast at it too.
Before too long her hooves touched the ground on the opposite side, a quick look that she was still safely alone and she shook herself. She was still dripping wet, but she figured she'd dry on the run. And so she started running, away from the place. She was headed towards the Great Pine more or less. The most important thing for her was to not run into any more Bachelors today. It had been a good lesson and a reminder on not trusting anyone and that she was not invincible. A shiver ran through her spine just thinking about being a captive to the barbaric herd.
