His mind rolled over the image of the Olde entourage over and over again, burning it in, willing it to remain so that his group of silent warriors and he could hopefully take them by surprise. The light Marwari stallion had no trouble moving quietly, his dainty hooves gliding over the blades of grass that eventually dropped off into dusty canyon lands. His Gift sensed another horse approaching, and his eyes narrowed slightly in irritation. He glanced back at Lars' arrival, and turned back. Two late. He shook his head slightly - it didn't matter, they were here now. He did not exist to punish his current allies, however he wondered if he did, they would channel more rage into their assignment. Flicking his pale eyes to Sheva's son, then their white newcomer who reminded him a touch too much of his mother, he decided against it. Caution was needed now, not infighting and stupidity. Cain did not know these horses well enough to know their response to chastisement.
As they neared the canyon, Cain looked down on the floor of it, where hoofprints were clear in the dirt there, even as the rain faded to a light dust of snow. The snow collected in the deep tracks, though it would hide them minutes later. They were lucky for now. The Bachelor leader narrowed his eyes on a thin path that ran above the canyon floor, and nodded his nose there, gesturing for the others to follow. "Once we find them, we ambush them. They will have no escape here. Spare them no mercy." Cain murmured to the others as he stepped lightly on the narrow path that was carved out of the canyon wall by faded rivers and time. On the linear path, it did not take long for Cain to see the horses below and in front of them, trying to make sense of the foreign terrain. They were within distance. It was time to get revenge.
