It had been more than a few hours since the silver stallion had last seen Abel. To make matters worse, the younger stallion had been absent this morning when Ghost called the scavengers together for an impromptu meeting. "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I suppose..." Ghost muttered, shooting a glare in Bat-Sheva's direction before asking around about where the bay dun might have gone.
After sending the other scavengers off to their tasks, Ghost headed out in search of the younger stallion himself. What would prompt Abel to head out to unicorns know where without at least checking in first? The older stallion sighed heavily. 'These young bucks today have no sense of duty or discipline...' He thought rather disdainfully as he plodded along, keeping his eyes open for anything that could signal the bay dun's whereabouts. The tall grass made it incredibly difficult to see any markers on the ground such as hoof prints, and Ghost was getting frustrated. That is, until he spotted it. A wide, mostly fresh path through the golden colored fields. The spotted stallion had no way of knowing what had actually made the trail, but his gut told him it was Abel.
Pacing himself at a steady lope,he followed the path through the weeds. 'Why on earth is he heading toward the city?' He wondered, slowing down as it became more difficult to pinpoint the exact path that had been taken. Reaching the top of a small knoll, Ghost came to a halt, surveying the land around him. The path seemed to have disappeared, and there didn't appear to be any other visual cues that Abel had continued on. In some ways, it almost seemed as if he'd vanished. Closing his ice blue eyes, the spotted stallion honed in on his hearing, swiveling his ears around like a radar as he tried to catch anything that sounded out of the ordinary. 'Abel, where the hell are you?' His thoughts were quickly interrupted by a sweet and compelling feminine voice. Someone was singing. Tapping into his gift, Ghost faded, vanishing into nothingness as his invisibility overtook his body. Quietly, he headed toward the source of the noise. It was most likely one of the broods trying to escape from the herd's watchful eyes, but one could never be entirely sure of what they'd run into out this way.
((OOC: Sorry for the late(semi crappy) reply guys, I was having some health and internet issues haha, I think everything is good for now though ^_^ ))
