Greer didnt lift her head as he spoke. She ignored all comments until he mentioned Cethin. How dare he! She felt tears well up but she wiped them off on her leg.
"You will never break me." She mumbled. It was something she told herself often, when things got rough, which was all the time.

Grange felt the tiniest flare of regret as he padded away. He didn't want to hurt the mare, but he knew it needed to be done. She needed to learn her place, which was not by Cethin. That was his place, rightfully earned with his thoughts and emotions. Who knew. Perhaps she did feel something for the stallion, but Grange stuck to his philosophy: if she showed how crafty she was in a fight, she couldn't be trusted in other parts of life. He, on the other hand, valued his honesty far too much.

Greer looked around the field. Horses sparred peacefully, without a drop of blood. She even spotted Cethin who wa dodging an oddly large stallions hit with a smile on his face. She sniffled, before ambling to a tree and laying down under it. The moon rose and she fell asleep, an uneasy feeling in her chest. The next day she woke up and made herwayback to the summer fields. It was still rather dreary out, and cold. She waited for Grange to show up, and she was ready to fight again. She no longer felt that guilty, heavy feeling.

Grange lifted himself stiffly from his bed of dried grass leaves. His wounds from the day before ached, and his torn ear was like an unwanted banner of attention, but he forced himself to get up and prepare for the day's sparring. It was time for a second fight with Greer, and this time he was certain that he would emerge victorious. Stretching his muscles to limber up, he clambered out into the cold morning, shivering to keep warm. Plodding towards the Summer Fields, he readied himself for battle. When he arrived, his eyes were gleaming, and his expression was one of undaunted determination.

Greer spotted Grange coming toward her and met him halfway. She sucked in her breath, trying to look emotionless and despondent.
"Alright, i am sore as all get out and i dont feel like bleeding today. How about we mix it up a bit, grange?" She said with a fake grin. "Obviously, I am the better fighter no matter what tricks i use, so its just..unfair for you." She said with fake sympathy seeping from her words.
"Lets make a deal. Ill help you learn how to really fight, and you try and beat me. I want an actual challenge." Greer said, scoffing with remembrance of the previous day.

"I don't think you know what an even fight is," the stallion snorted. He'd managed to hold his own, despite what the mare thought. "But fine. We're supposed to be sparring anyway," he added contemptuously, his ears halfway back. The small stallion cocked one rear hoof, feigning boredom. Although he looked calm, beneath this demeanor, he was watching, taking in every detail in that odd way of his that made him such a good spy. And such a good little spy he was.

Greer circled him, head high, tail in the air like an Arabian. She had an credulous look on her face. When she was at his side, she tripped his hoof, causing him to fall down.
"And now i would smash in your skull and you'd be dead." She said bordely, as if it was almost to easy.
"Your turn." She said with a chuckle as Grange got his hooves back underneath himself.

Grange righted himself quickly, shaking his short mane. With a look of demure serenity, he calmly padded towards the mare. With a sudden snap and twist of his neck, he held her jugular between his teeth. He held on tight enough that she couldn't easily pull away, but not so tightly that he would cut into the delicate vein and unleash the torrent of blood that lay beneath. "If I bit down, your own heart pumping would kill you," he said softly, as he released her neck and backed away.

Greer grinned, enjoying this fully. "Nice move, ill save that for later." She said, as if she could tuck the experience into her pocket for later use.
She approached grange in the same simple manner, but quickly swiveled to the side which, like she predicted, he blocked by going the same way but what he didnt predict was her going the opposite way by quickly jumping to the side, grabbing his chest between her teeth where she could easily rip out a chunk of flesh and muscle. She released though, catching her breath.
"I want to apologize, for yesterday." She started, looking down at her hooves. "I didnt mean to be so aggresive but we both know what we were really fighting about." She said, lifting her head to look him in the eye. Her forelock fell to the side, revealing her blind eye and half scared face for the first time to him. The silver gem which had replaced her icy blue eyes was dull and seemed to glow. The skin around it looked battered and was a pink grey shade much like the rest of the scars that covered her body.

Grange nodded in appreciation of her lightning fast reflexes. The mare had skills, he had to admit. But now he was beginning to see how she fought; quick and dirty. And he could fight that, by being faster. Hell, he'd escaped a pack of mountain lions by running--even if they had managed to scar up his flanks--surely he could become more fleet-footed than her if it came down to it.
The mare's words took him by surprise, and he started slightly. His gaze fell down to the scarred side of her face, and he took in the scars with blithe ease; he was used to seeing horrible disfigurement, especially when he found a reflective surface. "I...I am as well," he said softly, dipping his head to her. "But, Greer, let me be clear," he said, raising his head, his eyes steely. "Whatever may have happened between you two, and whenever it happened, he's mine now. I can't lay claim to him as an owner, but I can as a lover. I've forgiven him for whatever he may have done. But don't expect too much from him. Or from me."

Greer squinted angrily at Grange.
"You listen here, i may have forgiven you for what you said to me, but i will not let you tell me what to do. You have no idea what i have been through with Cethin and you will never know how i feel right now. Truth is, i dont know how to feel, ok? I can't just let go. And you cant make me." She whispered, arching her neck her face nearly touching his. Intimidation practically raditated off of her.
"And dont you ever tell me what to do with Cethin." She snapped, before walking past him and easily tripping him once more. She plodded across the field to have a break in a patch of grass.

Grange didn't make a move to follow the mare, choosing instead to watch her plod away, anger radiating off of her like heat from a small sun. Oh, so she thought she could challenge him over this? Grange decided the mare would be sorely mistaken if she thought this were a battle she could win. He planned his words carefully before striding smoothly over to the mare, his ears pinned to his skull.
"You think you mean anything, Greer?" he asked, his tone even and soft. "You think you're worth anything? Let me tell you this: If you got it on with him before he met me, you need to let go, because he didn't choose you. He chose me. He picked me over you. And if you got with him after he chose to be my mate? Well...that just makes you a whore."
(Psst, I forgot to ask about ratings before hand, so lemmie know if you need me to dial back violence/language at any point.)

(lol i curse so much in rp's its fine)
Greer phyiscally flinched away at Grange's words. She felt her heart split in two, blowing away in the wind. She felt a hot, angry tear sculpt down her grulla cheek, as she stared at Grange. Her nostrils flared, breathing loudly as she tried to suck in the tears that begged to flow in streams down her face. She didnt want to cry infront of him. Not today. She bolted across the meadow, toward a patch of tree's where she could be alone. She pressed her now tear sticky face against the bark, blubering like a foal. She kicked it hard, sending its brown armor flying in all different directions. She leaned onto the tree, crying silently now.
"He's right greer." The voice in her head spoke up. "Ever since mum and daddy died, youve been a train wreck." It squeaked. "End it why dont you? cause you a coward! ahahahah!" The voice laughed in victory as she felt more tears fall to the ground beneath her hooves.

(haha, me too. Sounds like a perfect fit then.)
He didn't like the feeling that came with watching her run away. It was half guilt, and half triumph. If Cethin could see you now, what would he think? Grange knew it wouldn't be good, whatever he thought. Sighing, the stallion stared in the direction that Greer had disappeared to. What was he to do? He couldn't let the mare think she still had claim to Cethin; that much was out of the question. But did she have to feel horrible about it? Sighing, he followed her slowly.

Greer spun around at the scent of Grange behind her. She bared her teeth pinning her ears. She didnt bother to wipe off her face which was now salty and sticky with sweat tears.
"Stay the Fairy away from me!" She shouted, her voice breaking as she took two steps backward. She felt as if she were gonna faint. She regained her ground, opening her eyes and breathing deaply. She swayed on her hooves still, her emotions threatening to break out of the bottle she'd trapped them in so tightly. Her mind, wound up in a spool of thin thread that was breaking more and more everytime she moved or spoke or breathed. She couldnt win the games she played with herself.
"I have every right to Cethin as you. I hold his child. What do you hold? His heart? Well guess what, he'll take it away along with yours just like he took mine with him." She said, more pathetic tears.
