Yonne couldn’t help but feel relieved that Natalie didn’t think her idea idiotic. While she did secretly like the idea of not getting too dirty, she was glad that their leader did not seem to recognize that about her. Whew. She briefly noticed Judah doing as Venus did, but then blue eyes turned to Venus who began to speak, and she nodded to herself. That seemed like the most logical step. Surely there was something left of the forest, she hoped sadly to herself. The young mare was going to comment about Venus being small, but decided against it. The other mare was indeed much smaller than she, so she figured any attempt to console the mare might be taken as an insult. She instead nodded, and turned to look to Natalie once more. She noticed the mares eyes elsewhere and turned to follow them. She noticed the horses before Natalie could comment, though she followed slightly besides her leader. She, too, wanted to know who these horses were. It didn’t take long to realize that these horses weren’t Exiles, and so her muscles began to tense. She tensed further at Natalie’s confirmation. No, of all the horses they could have been, did they have to be from the Bachelors? Ears pinned back reflexively, and her legs locked in position. She had chosen to side with the Olde, as talk of the Bachelors treatment of their mares was so despicable she couldn’t find it in her heart to side with them. Amblyn had suddenly seemed to take charge, standing next to Natalie. Her training must have been kicking in, and Yonne did not say anything other than nod when the mare had told them to stay on guard. Oh she was, that was for sure. If only she could hear what Amblyn was thinking, Yonne would be quick to agree; the Bachelors terrified and angered her as well. Whatever mirage was before her faded as the group came nearer. A mare at the front, two youths, and a stallion behind them. Ears flicked forward, eyes widening ever so slightly. She had expected all adult males, but low and behold, her eyes certainly did play tricks on her. She shook herself, and side-glanced at Natalie who spoke up. She was glad the mare spoke up, because Yonne wasn’t sure where her voice went. Her eyes went to the filly and colt, wondering why they were even here. Weren’t they too young to leave the herd? Amblyn almost made her laugh. Blood and mayhem. It was a horrible thing to laugh at but she couldn’t help but silently agree. Her mouth contorted into a would-be smile, before fading as quickly as it came. The sound of hooves charging off in the opposite direction caught her attention, and as she turned she saw Venus practically flying away. She was so dumbstruck, that once again her body tensed up, especially at Amblyn’s calling out. No, they shouldn’t split up, but she wouldn’t force the mare to stay if they terrified her. The only thing she could think of, was that either these particular horses had done her some ill will, or the Bachelors as a whole. A sour taste filled her mouth and she could feel anger rising inside of her. Stay calm, Yonne. There’s no possible way the young had anything to do with it at least. Just relax. Huffing a breath, she once again turned towards the intruders, as there was no better word for them now. A little tenseness had eased when the filly was the first to respond to Natalie; at least she was polite. A bit of sympathy crossed Yonnes' features as she looked to the young mare, before looking to the stallion, and then to Amblyn who spoke. Once again a smirk tugged at her muzzle before fading. The mare had guts, she liked it. So this is what it took to be a fighter, lots and lots of sarcasm. She snorted in reply, before looking back to the stallion. And here she thought she was tall. The stallion towered over their leader, and she made every attempt at seeming tall herself. His words nearly went in one ear and out the other, but she caught them, and she hardly believed him. She was still seething that Venus had run off, she had half a mind to charge off and make sure the mare was alright. But here she was, and she wasn’t about to let Natalie and Amblyn face them alone. Moving forward, she stood tall. “She’s right. Are your words truth? So, what are you doing here anyway?" Yonnes words weren’t overly venomous, but they were imposing, and showing that she would not back down.

As they traveled deeper into Exile lands, ash began to fill their lungs with each step they took. It stirred up the earth and. although there was grass, there was also memories of the fire in the dust that danced around their legs. Camila wasn't one to get emotional often, but the thought of having your home burned to ash broke her heart. She felt for the Exiles, truly. Her family may have died by the hooves of the bachelors, but at least she could still breathe easy and find food without trouble. For a moment, her expression twisted into a sad frown at the thought, but then it morphed into one of determination. She would help the Exiles, even if it was the last thing she did.
Soon, they reached the horses that they had been scenting. It was a group of females mostly and upon their arrival they all seemed to tense when they realized who they were. Camila opened her mouth to speak, but immediately was cut off by D'Angelo as he strode forward, taking charge once again. She grimaced. Having a bachelor stallion, looking the way he did and saying what he had wouldn't do good for them, and just as she suspected, the mares were suspicious. Camila wasn't even surprised when one of the small ones up and bolted from the scene. Even if they had two foals with them, to anyone not in the Bachelors, they were dangerous. Even Camila herself. She walked forward, glancing at D'Angelo with a look that said I'll handle this before turning her attention to the mares once more.
"I know his words are hard to believe. Trust me, if I were you, I would be suspicious too; the Bachelors reputation isn't a good one." For a moment it made Camila sick to her stomach to stand up for a stallion, and for the Bachelors as well. "I know better than anyone how horrid they can be." Yes, there it was. Camila never thought of herself as a Bachelor and now it was evident to anyone listening in that moment. She did not belong to D'Angelo nor any Bachelor and she never would. Her gaze hardened with understanding as she looked between each of the mares. She knew their fear, their hate. "What he says is true. We're not here to fight, we're here to help. We want to help." For good measure, Camila bowed her head, a sign of submission. "Please let us serve you in any way we can."

| Rose | filly | Bachelor Youngling |
_________________________________________________________________
Rose lowers her head when she senses D'Angelo's annoyance. She may be prideful but she wasn't completely stupid, she didn't want to push the Bachelor to far. With his words 'my dear companion' a mixture of fear and excitement flashes through her and she lowers her usually high held tail. His glance cause a shiver to race up her spine. She shakes her head, ridding herself of the confusing feelings... Fat the ollowing the stallions gaze she snorts in ammusment at the cloud of dust trailing behind a retreating figure. "Coward." the filly mumbles under her breath unable to hold back the comment but not wanting to anger the Exiles. Secretely she wonders if the mare is going to inform others of their unannounced prescence on the Southern Isle. "I am not a barbarian of the Bachelor herd!" she huffs at the Exile mare Amblyn. "I am a proud mare of Olde..." she adds quietly more to reassure herself than anything. When Camila speaks up for D'Angelo Rose sticks out her tongue. Here she thought she had found a friend, or at least an ally, in the mare and she was defending the stallion. Though with her talk of hatred her hopes of an ally were restored. She grimaces when Camila bows, she didn't like the older mare's submissive words but she did want to help... "Yes, as I said, we are here to help." she pipes in, stepping up next to Camila careful to stay on the side away from D'Angelo. 'Though I'm not willing to do quite anything...' she thinks. The filly looks to the Exiles, unable to tell which is the actual leader she looks between the two at the front, waiting for some sort of reply.

The sound of hooves drew Judah's attention towards the beach, he paused his digging to see who it was. Were the other teams finished with their tasks already? He glanced down and his small pile of ash and the mares of his team, some with matching piles and others with nothing. Maybe we aren't moving fast enough? Giving a shrug he walked back to the gathering spot of his team, he would find out soon enough.
As the new horses drew closer, the tattle-tail sign of the Bachelors made itself know. Bachelors? What were they doing here? He brow dipped into one of suspession, he had heard the tales of the Bachelor herd. The were known to be vicious, especially towards mares. With an acknowledged nod to Amblyn's warning, he braced himself for any possible trouble.

((Ooc: posting order: D'Angelo, Camila, Rose, Natalie, Venus, Ambylyn, Yonne, and Judah))
Natalie| Exile mare| Guard:
The tense that echoed from her group flowed over Natalie making her own body tense, though she was able to relax her body some when Amblyn joined her at the front. However, this did not last when hears caught the sound of one of her team member the young mare Venus. Twitching her ear back when Amblyn called out she knew this wasn't good. It was dangerous for Venus to be out there on her own and Natalie herself couldn't go and track her down. No matter how much she wanted to she need to stay where she was for it was best to stay together. Knocked from her thoughts by the sound of the filly's greeting back to her. Natalie's came forward as she looked at the filly she was polite but defiantly a little restless to just come running up to them like this but she didn't drawl on this for as soon as she went to respond to the filly the golden stallion with marvelous white markings, placed himself at the front. Marbled eyes of mostly pale green looked up locking on the stallion. Sweet words in deed they were. Words like those were not to be trust that was one thing she brought out from her young life of traveling everywhere with her parents. Listening to the mistrust of each of her members she knew they didn't trust the stallion's words either so when the dark mare spoke out in defense of the stallion tension fled Natalie's body. Not to say she fully trusted the mare but just by looking at her Natalie could see her words rang true. Natalie's respect for the other mare grew when she bowed her head to them. They were here to help and they surely need so to pass it up would be simply stupid. Closing her eyes for a moment she cleared her mind of the bad for she would give this small group a chance. "I believe the words you tell me to be true. It is clear you truly wish to help us in our task and I must thank you for that however, that doesn't mean I trust you fully." Natalie said with a smile speaking to the mare first before she moved her eyes back to the stallion who now that she got a chance to actually see him clearly he was quite handsome but that didn't mean she was about to let his looks fool her. "I will personally be keeping my eye on you." She told softly to him before speaking to all of his group. "My name is Natalie and what might your names all be?" Natalie asked them. As soon as introduces are done Natalie wanted nothing more then to get someone to check on Venus.

D'Angelo | Bachelor Stallion | Infantry __________________________________________________________________ With the look Camila had offered him, D'Angelo responded by acknowledging her with a subtle flick of his right ear. He took a step back before he stood there, his ears flicking as words were exchanged. It slightly annoyed him how carefully they seemed to tread around him, but he knew very well that they had every right to doubt him. But what would it take for him to prove that he was different? Or did he truly want them to think him different?
D'Angelo's glass blue eyes traveled from one Exile to the next before the small mare's question snatched his full attention. "D'Angelo." He responded in a cool tone of voice as he kept his head above his shoulders, easily towering over most of them. After his rather blunt introduction of himself he flicked his short cotton tail to gesture towards the rest of his group, thinking it best to allow themselves to introduce themselves. His presence already seemed threatening, and he wasn't trusted, that had been made clear quite a few times already. The least he could do now was try to earn at least a little bit of it. But even if they couldn't trust him, he at least wanted to be respected, even in the slightest amount. But he already wasn't off to a good start.

(ooc: thanks for the posting order, dancingorbi! that helped out a ton cx)
Camila was a little surprised when D'Angelo actually let her step forward and take the lead for a moment. Back on the East Island, she would've never gotten away with something like that, taking charge when a perfectly good stallion was standing so near. Not only that, but she wasn't even a lady, she was a mere slave brood. If she had been a lady, it might've been over looked, but if they were with the Bachelors, she would've gotten a firm punishment for what she had just done. Thankfully, she could push those boundaries here; they were on a completely different island and D'Angelo, although a Bachelor stallion, still had a ways to go before being a proper leader in Camila's mind, so she could easily get away with much more. It made her smile inwardly. She would milk this chance for all it's worth.
Camila lifted her head and eyes to the little roan mare as she began to speak. She figured that she was the leader of this little group, judging by her firm and steady nature. If she was nervous or afraid, she did a good job of hiding it. Camila wasn't surprised by her answer though, but she was thankful that she hadn't flat out told them to leave. That would've put them in quite the pickle. "I don't blame you. You have every right not to trust the Bachelors." Camila said, once again subtly divorcing herself from the Bachelor herd. She gave the roan mare, Natalie she introduced herself as, a smile before she spoke again. "My name's Camila. The little colt," She nodded her head behind her to the little palomino pinto hanging at the back of their group. "His name is Dante." He had been quite the silent little thing since they got together, so she felt it best to introduce him to them. She let Rose introduce herself though, she knew the little filly would have no trouble doing that- or saying whatever she wanted to say for that matter.

| Rose | filly | Bachelor Youngling |
_________________________________________________________________
The filly watches the exchange between the older horses with interest. Surprisingly things were going better than she had expected. Had she seen a Bachelor stallion approaching with a group, even a small one, she would have been just as suspicious if not more. It was good that Camila's defense of their inexperienced leader had comforted the Exiles some. Her ears perk forward as a stallion comes to join the Exile group, she had thought they were all mares. Though his looks weren't quite as...intense as D'Angelo's she did find the draft rather handsome and he seemed around her age. His white markings were rather eye catching and his eyes were such a pleasant shade of blue. When she realizes she is staring she quickly averts her eyes, suddenly finding the ashy earth beneath her hooves extremely interesting. 'What's wrong with you Ro?!' Back in Olde her training had occupied all of her time. Being a knight had been her focus ever since she had realized she exceled in strength, but since being drug to the Bachelors she had a lot of free time to start admiring the horses around her in a new way. Rose turns back to Camila when she addresses the lead Exile mare Natalie again, thankful for the distraction from her silly thoughts. "I'm Rose." she adds to the introductions. It felt good to introduce herself with her real name. Back in the Bachelor herd she tended to introduce herself as Ro, if she introduced herself at all. She appreciated the fact that Camila had allowed her to introduce herself. It seemed like everyone was treating her as a foolish filly but she was almost 17. 'Almost 17...' her face drops slightly but she quickly fixes it back to a neutral expression.
She turns her attention back to Natalie with a small smile. "It is a pleasure to meet you miss Natalie, as well as the others in your group." her politeness had been all but beaten into her by her mother. Though she thought her actions might anger him she had decided it didn't matter to her if she annoyed D'Angelo, he wasn't her keeper. "If I might ask, who was the mare who ran off when she saw us?" What she really wanted to know was the names of the rest of the Exiles standing before her, especially the colt though she couldn't explain to herself why. She had several reasons for asking what she did. First it was evident by their closeness that the leader would be concerned for the runaway mare and she wanted to seem sympathetic. Another was her suspicion that she had been sent to summon reinforcements.

Natalie| Exile mare| Guard:
Looking to each of them when they introduced themselves Natalie nodded. She was quite surprised at just how quiet the stallion D'Angelo was, never would she had thought a bachelor stallion would allowed what he was. Natalie was studying for moment trying to figure him out but of course this was cut short by the filly Rose's voice. Turning to look at her she smile warmly at the filly and her politeness. "The pleasure is mine and please ask away I don't mind the questions......." Natalie replied listening the question she then answered in gentle voice. "Her name is Venus" She looked off behind her still very worried looked to those of her group. Someone had to go check on Venus and she preferred it be one of theirs. Looked over each of her teammates knowing well it was unlikely any of them would want to make our numbers smaller but we strong even in few numbers. "If one of your would be so kind as to go check on Venus. It's not safe out there for her to be on her own for none of us know what is out there. " Natalie to her before once more she had turned back to those in front of her. It was time they all got back to work after all there was far to much work to be done to sit about staring at each other waiting for something to happen. Being that it wouldn't get them any where at all. Turning to the ash Natalie walked back into the ash her steps were light for she did worry about hurting the bud that were hiding below. Scanning over the surface she spoke. "Well, It time to get back to work after all there is much to do. The ash below my hooves is covering patches of newly forming buds of plant life however, the buds aren't strong enough on there own which is why we must clear way the ash." Natalie explained finally lifting her head up to that the new help. She was letting know what had to be done and just what they needed the help doing.

Venus's eyes opened warily. She must have dozed off, and for a moment she was in bliss. Then she looked for Moya and was brought back into reality. Bachelors invaded her home and had probably taken her friends as captives. To live how she did, and though she had good days with those evils, the bad far out compensated. No Bachelor was good, they are born into ruthlessness and do not know anything else. Venus remembered the sapling, but it was no longer there when she looked once more. She huffed it off and stood once more, velvet body aching and covered in ash. The small mare did not bother shaking it off. She looked back to where her herd mates were and thought hard on what to do. There's no telling what the Bachelors did to her friends, and she would fall to the same fate if she returned. For certain they would take them to their prisoner hold they call a herd and then she'd diminish even further. And He was there. She knew he wouldn't have wanted her to leave, and certainly wouldn't allow it again, but she'd take anything as to shield her friends from it. Holding in tears, the mare treaded back. No one should go through what she did, and they could fight them until she returned to them to end this. Why would they even come? She tried so hard not to curse them, but she couldn't help whispering a prayer to any listening that her friends did not fall to a fate other than one of happiness.

Amblyn | Exile Herd | Guard
It was clear bachelors had no manners. Here she'd been, questioning the large stallion, and he didn't answer. He barely even acknowledged her! It made Amblyn grit her teeth. If these strangers didn't even have basic manners, they were in for trouble. It was a small step from being rude to violence, she feared, and not even Natalie's pretty face would stop them.
Yonne spoke up. “She’s right. Are your words truth? So, what are you doing here anyway?"
"Ignoring us, I suppose," Amblyn replied. "Maybe we aren't pretty enough to deem a response."
She watched as one of their mares stepped forward and addressed them with comforting words. Comforting words about the stallion - D'Angelo, what a curious name! - and his companions being there to help and not to fight. It didn't make Amblyn feel any less tense. She knew all about the brainwashing that went on with the bachelors. She'd heard the horrid stories. Mares who had nothing to say or do somehow relished in their position. A position Amblyn could only imagine. It made her sick to the bone, the idea of being a meek, willing follower to some brute of a male. No, she'd never be that.
"What he says is true. We're not here to fight, we're here to help. We want to help."
"Excuse me if I don't quite trust your judgement. I wasn't aware mares of the bachelor herd were allowed to form opinions, so I'm not completely sold on trusting yours."
It didn't speak in the mare's favour when she immediately offered to serve them, either. Clearly her time with the bachelors had made her agree with their rules and it had fostered her inclination to submit. Amblyn scowled fiercely.
"Your wish should not be to serve us," she said. "Your wish should be to help us. To be equal with us. This is exactly why my trust isn't freely given."
Not that Amblyn ever trusted easily, but this situation wasn't helping. She felt uncomfortable, especially with the way their leader approached the strangers. Friendly. Courteous. Even though stallions could be hidden nearby, ready to strike. Amblyn's eyes darted around, waiting for shadows to bear down on them.
The smallest of the bachelor mares seemed a bit more fiery, but at the same time she looked at the stallion with wonder. He was handsome, sure, but Amblyn didn't think that should be enough to give away freedom. Maybe the mares were his and the little colt was his son? That would explain the lovestruck expression on the smaller mare's face.
"I am a proud mare of Olde..."
"You are not with the Olde herd now, nor are you an exile. Instead you are travelling with a bachelor stallion and making foal eyes at him. I doubt the members of Olde would agree with your statement."
"I believe the words you tell me to be true. It is clear you truly wish to help us in our task and I must thank you for that however, that doesn't mean I trust you fully."
Amblyn sighed. Her leader was too trusting. She glanced over and noticed the smile. Had she too fallen under the stallion's spell?
"You trust too easily," she murmured. "He is not that good-looking."
Introductions were then made and Amblyn stored their names readily. If they ever escaped, she could tell the others of this adventure. Of the time they met a bachelor stallion and his harem and lived to tell the tale.
She snorted as she saw the filly eyeing Judah next. He was imposing, to be sure, so maybe that was her type. Amblyn rolled her eyes. This was hardly the time to think of romance.
Venus, the one who ran away, was mentioned and while Amblyn wanted to go and find her, she knew she couldn't. She couldn't leave her herd with only one guard to defend it - and one who'd already fallen prey to niceties - so she had to remain. She eyed the path the run-away mare had taken. Maybe another would offer to go.
"Well, It time to get back to work after all there is much to do. The ash below my hooves is covering patches of newly forming buds of plant life however, the buds aren't strong enough on there own which is why we must clear way the ash."
"I will not yet lower my head to the ground so willingly," she spoke. "For I do not yet trust they will not kick me in the head the moment they can."
She paused.
"My name is Amblyn, by the way."

Yonne still wasn’t sure about these Bachelors. They were an odd group. Heck, Bachelors were odd in of itself. She decided not to reply to Amblyn, but the mare got a small smirk in reply. Yonne did consider herself pretty, but perhaps the mare was right. But soon the mare of the group stepped forward. With ears held back defensively, the tall young mare listened. It was much easier to stomach the words from a mare, but she just couldn’t fathom defending a stallion from the Bachelors at all. Ears immediately flicked forward at Camila’s proclamation that she knew first hand how horrid they could be. Yonne wordlessly replied with a harsh snap of her lengthy tail. Oh how she hated the Bachelor ways. Why any mare in their right mind would stay was beyond her, she would have gladly offered the mare a place in the Exiles then and there if not for the fact she was hardly in a position to do so. Not to mention their lack of green home. When the mare lowered her head submissively, Yonne saw a flash of red. Oh no, this wasn’t the time for a Bachelor mare to be submissive towards them. No mare should be submissive. Amblyn was right, she should be equals. But she didn’t say anything, not wanting to get into it. Her shoulders shivered, and she looked towards Rose. The filly stated she was a mare of Olde, Yonne barely heard it...but why was she with the Bachelors? It wasn’t the time to question, as the filly was still talking, so she settled the thought deep in her mind. Hm. Natalie eased her worries. They wouldn’t trust the group, though inwardly Yonne would trust the filly and Mare much easier than she ever would a Bachelor stallion. Heck, she probably never would trust him. He was a Bachelor! Bachelor stallions were...disgusting. She shivered again. A smug smile crossed her lips when Natalie said she would be watching the stallion. Hahaha. She huffed to cover up a laugh. When Natalie introduced herself, she simply waited for the others to go first. Ah, so the males name is D’Angelo. She truly didn’t like him. Everything about him she despised. Perhaps it was far too hurried to assume the worst about him, but he was a Bachelor. Unless he miraculously proved himself to be different, he would be a sick Bachelor with no regard for females. As such, Yonne wouldn’t allow him within 10 feet of her. She snorted to herself, looking to Camila when the mare said they had every right not to trust the Bachelors. That’s exactly right. The youth raised her head high. Camila was the mare's name, it suited her so well, Yonne thought. Eyes went to the quiet colt; Dante. Shame he didn’t speak, maybe they were too imposing? He wasn’t a stallion, so she couldn’t hold a grudge against him. Rose was the filly, another pretty name. And a pretty face with a question. She looked to Natalie and offered the mare and filly a small smile. Poor Venus. She frowned. But then she looked back to Natalie. She wanted one of them to go search for Venus. If no one else did, Yonne would. And no one else did speak up, so the mare did. “My name is Yonne.” She nodded curtly, then looked to Natalie. “I will go find her and bring her back.” She turned to look towards the others. “I expect there won’t be any trouble while I am gone?” The statement turned into a question to avoid any conflict. Nodding her head, she turned and started to trot off. Once she was a decent distance away, she broke into a gallop. It was easy to follow Venus’ hoofprints in the ash. It was relaxing in a sort of way, to run, though she slowed to a canter instead, her ears perked and blue eyes searching. She ran at a quick pace, eyeing the surroundings. Everything was ash, only a few burned down stumps and some charred sticks poking up out of the ground. It was an awful, dearly sight. Yonne hoped that Natalie's abilities could truly help the earth come back to life, make the land green again. Her thoughts went back to Venus, how far had she gone? She wasn’t sure how long it took her, but she saw a horse on the horizon that she quickly picked up the pace and started towards them. “Venus? Is that you?” Yonne called out, coughing from the intake of ash whipping by. “Are you alright?” The mare said as she slowed down, now certain the figure was indeed Venus. “You ran off so quickly…” She trailed off, frowning.

As the Bachelors introduced themselves Judah could still feel the tension hanging thickly in the air. The presence of the stallion called D'Angelo wasn't making it any better especially at his blatant disregard of Amblyn's questions. He could already see the small mare's temper beginning to rise. The mare Camila was a different story. She didn't seem to act like fearful or anything like the tales of mares trapped within the Bachelor herd.
As he watched the older horses talk between one another, he began to feel his skin prickle; as if someone was watching him. Flicking his tail, he glanced towards the smaller mare who had quickly averted her eyes. He wasn't sure of her age but he could tell she was as young as himself and maybe even young. This whole group seemed to be an odd collection of horses.
With Natalie's mention of Venus, Judah felt a knot in him stomach. He wanted to go search for her but with the Bachelors showing up, he wasn't sure if leaving a group of mares unattented was the smart thing to do. Thankfully Yonne had volunteered herself. "My name is Judah but most call me Jude." he introduced himself and he stepped forward into Yonne's now vacant spot.

D'Angelo | Bachelor Stallion | Infantry __________________________________________________________________ The palomino draft could easily sense the tension, not specifically between the group of Exiles and his, but between almost everyone against him. His ears swiveled towards his back, nearly flattening against his head. But he reminded himself that Cain had chosen him for this task, to lead this group, and he wasn't going to forget that so easily. His former calm light blue eyes turned icy as his gaze traveled from the lovely mare Natalie to the one who introduced herself as Amblyn. She was a small mare, in fact almost all of them were, and in the back of his mind he couldn't help but find it amusing. That thought brought a rather frightening smirk to his his gray muzzle. His former charming expression looked a bit more...haunting this time.
"Maybe you've read my mind, Amblyn." The name was foreign to his tongue. But D'Angelo smiled at the golden mare, a shallow smile that almost made him seem like he was mocking her. I should have some fun with them while I'm here. "Would you like me to compliment you? You do have those beautiful jewel blue eyes." But just as soon as his smile had appeared, it disappeared. "Any Bachelor would love to claim you as his." He hissed suddenly through clenched teeth, lowering his head a little towards her as he did.
"But I have no interest in causing any trouble for any of you." D'Angelo looked to each of them. "I have a debt to a close Exile friend I need to repay. To her and to her family." His smile didn't reappear. "You've all endured enough, wouldn't you agree?" He let out a breath. "Yes, I am here under my leaders orders, but I want to help you, not only in order to complete my task. But because I myself owe it to your herd." He raised his head, his icy gaze softening for a moment. "Tell me what needs to be done, Natalie, and I will see it carried out." This time he offered a small smile.

It was hard to get a word in, everyone seemed to want to speak over one another. Things definitely wouldn't be good if they all kept bashing each other, specifically Amblyn and D'Angelo. Although she felt for Amblyn, Camila grew irritated that she would rather fight than take the chance to cleanse their island faster. But when D'Angelo replied, Camila's head snapped toward him; there it was, the caniving, snake of a Bachelor stallion, in all it's disgusting glory, rearing it's ugly head in the form of sarcasm. Her eyes burned with hatred for him and she instinctively side stepped away from him and toward the Exiles. She made sure that he saw her expression of anger before she turned back to the others. She lifted her head high and stomped her hoof in the ash, causing a cloud of it to puff up around her legs and drift slowly away in the breeze. She didn't care if D'Angelo would punish her later for it or even get angry at her now; she might have messed up earlier, but she was settling this nonsense now.
Camila stared straight at Amblyn as she spoke. "If you want to waste your energy arguing over petty nonsense then so be it." She glanced back at D'Angelo, making it clear that that was meant for him as well. "But the more we stand here yapping about who's on who's side, the longer it's gonna to take to clear this island. And to be frank, I'd rather put my energy toward something that deserves it. You don't have to trust us, but either decline our help or quit the pissing match and show us what needs to be done." With that, Camila strode up to Natalie, meeting her eyes confidently. "Teach me how to do it." Camila said, her tone softening only a fraction as she nodded toward the unearthed piles of ash scattered around the area, no doubt the fruits of their labor before their group had arrived. Her demeanor may have been hard, but her eyes revealed what she felt about the Exiles and their situation; she truly wanted to help. Though the war was still ongoing, this was the only thing she could do, and she wouldn't let anything get in her way, not even a bratty mare or a bastard stallion.
